I think that having a desire or a craving is allright as long as you don't see the object of desire as something externally to you that dictates your happiness (apranihita) and that is a very easy thing to say and very hard to perform at the same time because we all need things and people in our lives. I think that gratitude for getting things you need is something we rarely practice in the modern world which is obsessed with consumerism and we do get stuff all the time we just don't pay enough attention to them. So if we can recognise that we are getting food, shelter, water and people that love us even when we don't chase these things intentionally then we can lay back and relax for a while and stop with our obsessions over the things we desire.
Só lets leave the object of craving, and deasapear as human race.
