I always find Palma a strange airport as when you land you go through an area with all the people waiting to depart on planes. Anyway there on Saturday for another break on the island

This is a brilliant guide Alex!! So helpful! You have covered everything in this guide to arriving I think. It’s brilliant that you did a little walk through of it. I 100% will be using the bus when I visit in October. They are just so easy and so cheap. Love seeing places that I know so well, like the airport and the Intermodal station.

Hi alex..is that Bus/ Train Terminal new? Not been to Palma for many years, last time i remember a complete scramble and elbow fight to get on the late afternoon bus back to cala Millor which was horrible..this looks much more organised! x
I'm not sure Simon. The funny thing is I've only been without a car for a few months since 2005 when I first arrived, but it's only been this year that I've been really making use of the buses, particularly coming into Palma because residents have been given free travel for a year. Saves on parking.
I’m 7 weeks away from my first holiday alone with 2 of my children and I’m really starting to panic. I’ve always been away previously with family and since my husband passed this is my first as a single parent. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, especially travelling with a disabled child. TIA

Last year we had to wear masks on public transport, or when visiting pharmacies, hospitals and doctors’ surgeries, but does that apply again this year?
No! All restrictions are over now

Hiya, does that 5€ bus fare include changing buses? We're going to be at the Victoria Meliá in September and as far as I can tell we'll have to change buses at Es Baluard
I'm pretty sure on this occaision you'll have to pay again on the EMT buses. And you will definitley ahve to pay again if you change from EMT to TIB bus

Quiet a walk once you get your luggage.Why is it that British get the longest walk to all the A gates for departure?

The place is a nightmare. 'Chaos' doesn't begin to describe it.
It's not that bad. And nowhere as bad as the London airport. A bit of momentary busyness til you get to where you are going.
Awful airport when flying out. The area where food and shops are is claustrophobic with no windows to see out and people sitting on floors as no seats.!
We arrived into Palma 9 days ago from Manchester, the passport checks were a total nightmare. All UK families with children under 16 had to queue up for a manual passport security check. We queued for an hour just to get passports checked. Automated passport checking points were empty but UK families with children under 16 were not permitted to use them. Very very poorly managed and stressful experience for families with young children 👎
I'm so sorry to hear this. This often happens when they get more than one flight arriving in at once :(
