Thanks, my sister, for sharing your experience with us. I recently learnt that there are different types of plumping pipes, which can determine how long your plumbing infrastructure last. When I started my project, no one mentioned this to me. This means that the first phase of the plumbing work whereby some of the pipes are installed, in the concrete work, are now having the wrong pipe quality. I am told that pressure pipes are the best because, not only they last long, but also they withstand shocks or pressure in a way that normal pipes cannot. Not surprisingly, the pressure pipes are mighty expensive. When I was presented with the estimates of both pipes types, the cost of the pressure pipes was so prohibitive that I had to halt my project temporarily. Have you been told what pipe types/quality have been used for your project? If not, you probably want to check.
Good strategy to have both 110&240 outlets. I'm doing the same wiring design in my house in Ghana. Also, let them make provisions for solar installation just in case you decide to go that route in the future.
