@@justinh9674 They're talking about this scenario happening in the future. That it's where we're headed if eating insects is accepted as the norm by society. They'll bump up prices for beef, etc. since it is cheaper to make meat out of insects, so if they can get away with it, they will. Which means the only ones who will be able to afford quality meat will be those who are in a certain tax bracket. We're already seeing a surge in prices for chicken right now which used to be one of the cheapest cuts of meat. Talking the US, not EU.

They invested in farms already and in the corrupt EU, they passed a law recently that a % of insects in food is allowed. Uneducated People will eat them without knowing or because they can't afford otherwise.

organisms that can affect their safety as food.
Insects represent the largest group of animals on earth in terms of biodiversity, with an estimated 5.5 million different species.
This diversity is reflected in a matching range of infecting viruses, which not only positively or negatively affect insect populations, but can also have a major impact on human well-being. Insects have been shown to contain a wide variety of viruses up to *indicate insects as major reservoirs and vectors of viruses* and recent papers reveal an enormous diversity in RNA viruses detected in insect viruses.

Dead bacteria does release a bunch of endotoxins and exotoxins depending on the health and diet of the person. If the fecal matter you're consuming was produced by a healthy person or animal on a diet of sanitary, pathogen free feed and cooked at a high teperature to kill all the potentiality harmful bacteria; then yes, you could probably safely consume poop. This idea and it's factors are not my area of expertise as I'm not a microbiologist nor a student preparing to become one, so of course take my assumptions with a grain of salt.
