I sincerely advise everyone to avoid. We just seized the engine in the spr240. Since the crankcase breather is routed underneath the engine and not into the Airbox like on other motorcycles, the engine took on water and sand through breather. All during normal use on the same route with other motorcycles. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not acknowledge the complaint and we have to go to court. Already during breaking in there was a problem with the fuel system, leading to overheating of the engine. In this situation, the manufacturer also ignored the problem. In addition, in the information on the motorcycle there is a rear suspension travel of 300mm, which unfortunately is a lie. There is only about 260mm between the rear wheel and the fender, swingarm fully relieved. This causes the wheel to hit the fender on larger potholes. I ADVISE AVOIDING AJP.

Sorry to hear. As this was just 2 days testing issues that you mentioned was not coming up. This bike is still running nicely even it has seen sand and wet and snow. Do you know are there some must have fixes that everyone should do when taking use of this bike to avoid issues that you mentioned? Thanks for feedback.

@@advseeker To avoid getting water into the engine you need to move the crankcase vent pipe up to the airbox area. As it is routed downwards in series and hangs 15cm above the ground. When you stop the engine while standing in a puddle of water, the gases in the engine begin to cool and shrink, causing water to be sucked through this pipe into the engine.
Every other bikes have this crank case breather conected into the airbox. But unfortunately not AJP 240.

@@advseeker Definitely warn the dealer, as AJP does not recognize the warranty due to this obvious design flaw. This will cause the customer or dealer to pay the cost of replacing the engine and fixing the defect so as not to seize the next one.

AJP builds a fantastic chassis in Portugal, but the SPR 240 has a Chinese Honda clone engine.
I own a PR7 that is great, but I will inspect the crank case ventilation...It has a different engine, but I will look just in case.
