I totally agree. It indeed takes time to memorize kanjis. Kanji is fun but it requires a lot of effort as well.

Those characters are often used for foreign words. Onyomi pronunciation originally came from China. Along with and at the same time as the Kanji.

中国の学校では「だめな習慣」とされ、間違うと笑われますwwww
主にどっちが音符が間違われるか、
そもそも形声ではないとか、
日本語なら呉音漢音唐宋音が間違われるのもあります。
ひとつ面白いと思うのは、「消耗品」の「耗」の発音はもともと「もう」ではなく、「ごう」ですが、
日本語では「もう」で定着してしまいました。
まあそれでも3回くらい当てれば1回当たるくらいじゃないかなwww
