Great video 👍 , thanks for showing how easy it is! More discovery video's please
I did mine the lazy way. I need to redo it and put the threaded inserts. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to your next upload.
Rivnuts, the way series landrovers were put together in places, pop rivets in others, but they stood the test of time.. Thanks for the video Steve.. Ian --UK.
OOHHHH MY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE RIVNUT SIZE AND SCREW AS I JUST GOT THE LADDER IT SELF THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please continue doing more Discovery videos! Cheers from a Yank in England!!
Tune in the next two weeks!
@@ThisWeekWithCars ... Cheers!
Thanks Steve.
I love watching you're video at night definitely do more
Oh, I have to get me one of those😎😍 THNX!
C'mon Steve , you have to climb the ladder as proof of your work...
Thank you.
Just scored a used ladder for my daughter's 2001 TD5 D2 and will be fitting it this weekend and have a riv-nut tool so should be a breeze.
Thanks for this. I took the ladder off my old D1 that I flipped and want to put on the D2. Appericate it!
Land Rover in Iowa ? Now I have seen everything - must be Iowa City
Nice Disco 2. Did I see a slight hinge sag when you opened the door?
I thought that too. Maybe that spare tyre has too much air in it? 😁
Nice
Those rivnuts are amazing things, so many uses! What happened to Raceday Wednesday?
I may do more but less and less people watched them each week.
@@ThisWeekWithCars That's too bad, I enjoyed them. :-) Your driving skills are impressive.
@@ThisWeekWithCars Shame, I enjoyed the ones you did. It was fun going racing in "normal" cars; none of this 160mph nonsense.😁
Formula 1 isn't real driving. It's a hell of a skill but more like piloting than driving. Racing in something with a carb and a manual gearbox is way more fun.
as added protection the drilled holes would benefit with a dab of protection from rust. the hole has penetrated the paint layer. not all drivers have the luxury of a large garage. so how are they used, demonstration please, I would assume you need a step ladder to get to first rung, eliminating the need for the attachment. nevertheless looking cool is the main thing.
You step up on the rear bumper first
Great video, now I know what to do. Just got to get over drilling holes in my car!
How much weight can these take?
I've noticed that many Discoverys suffer from broken exterior plastic mouldings. This vehicle has lost a moulding above the bumper on the LHS. Lets down what is otherwise a rugged and durable vehicle.
addictive. But i dont know why :-)
Possibly because Steve tends to do these jobs properly. I wonder what percentage of folks used self-tappers?
I know it’s a long shot, but do you know what size drill bit that is?
The install instructions say 7mm
