- Hi Gang! This video is about the Nike Zegama, a story close to my heart. If it wasn't for Tom (@the_hiking_hairdresser) giving me these shoes at checkpoint 5 and telling me I "can do this!" and that he would "see me at the finish line" (he did actually come and find me at the finish to quickly say well done) there's no way I would have completed one of the best athletic achievements of my life. What a person! And what a shoe! 🔥

I love my Zegamas. I've raced Pikes Peak Marathon 2 years in these shoes and had no issues.

I’m on my 2nd pair of Zegama, it’s unbelievably comfortable! The only downside is the traction, that’s why I’m so excited by Zegama2 which uses Vibram outsoles.
I must say! The Vibram addition is a GREAT reason to get the 2’s.. Infact I’m going to open up Nike and buy some now 🙈 What’s your next running event?
@@ActiveIdeas looking forward to your review on Zegama2! My next major race will be some time later in Oct, in Korea called Ultra Trail Nine Peaks. About 80k and crazy amount of elevation.

Great review, how was the arch? I have flat feet and the Nike ultraflys dig into my arch sadly.
Thanks mate! Ooo I haven’t been lucky enough to try the ultra flys, so it’s tough to say if these wood be any better. However, my feel are also pretty flat and I still feel very comfortable in these, a subtle amount of support but definitely doesn’t feel like digging in 👌🏽
