I seen some videos are indicating the Nike Zegama is using a Zoom X shank as opposed to a full outsole of zoom x. The shank of zoom x is incased with the same Eva foam as the Nike Vomero. This is to help balance the issues of zoom x foam without a carbon plate. Like the Nike invincible issues of stability, love to hear your thoughts on separate foams used. Thanks for the review and great content your doing.
Thank you!. That's interesting so it seems like it's in a carrier foam which was hard to tell. I did notice it didn't feel as "authentic" as true zoomx foam since it was a little glossy but whatever they did the shoe is very stable and the foam compresses very well. I think it works well on this shoe and perhaps not doing it this way would destroy the foam too quickly. I know the new ultrafly does have zoomx and a tiny webbing around it as well and that is the shoe a lot of people are looking forward to.

I like the first Invincible alot, and I know you do too after seeing your review. I am really starting to love the Zegama as well for trails. The forefoot is even wider in the Zegama and you can see this when you compare the two insoles. The width of the forefoot is a big reason i like both Nike models, and they put Hokas to shame with their still too narrow shoes. I have tried the other Nike trail shoes and none are as wide as the Zegama, meaning they do not fit me. So for that reason alone the Zegama is a better choice for some of us, rather than the Peg Trail. Thanks for your good review, always enjoy them..
Thanks Jim. The Zegama is like the invincible on the trails. It for sure is probably one of the most plush trail shoes out there with plenty of room.
Strange color scheme on these shoes with the brown upper- I want to say that I like it but at the same time I think it’s odd.
There’s a few color schemes so far. Nike likes to play with strange colors 😀
