Have you played AI? it takes place in space on the sevastapol station, and for the most part your enemy is one xenomorph that moves through the vents. the only comparable thing would be that they both are scary games but im only talking about the last resident evil, the ones before are not scary to the level of AI.sometimes i would hide in the same spot for almost 10 minutes before deciding to move on. the thing that sets it apart from any other game is that the alien your hiding from is probably the the most advance single enemy that a game has ever had, no zombie or soldier from any other game is on its level. even when you think you know where and when this alien is it can randomly appear out of nowhere. you don't only need skills but you need some luck as well.

You know, I think a sequel that properly follows up on the genetic engineering angle of Weyland-Yutani finally learning how to "control" the Xenomorph would be pretty fun.
Could even include the elements introduced by Ridley Scott's prequels such as the Engineers and the Neomorphs as a backdrop to help inform why the sudden change in the paradigm has occurred.
interesting idea to include the engineer disaster in the original series but i think it would make things worse tbh, sure Prometheus was on its own a decent flic but for me it is still only a movie with alien dna like Scott had envisioned the project
so yeah loose that prometheus angle and all the problems due to mechanical insanity and retconing the spacejockeys, but maybe refer to AvP lore, i mean Weyland was at that friggin pyramid and stuff, i doubt such knowledge would get really lost in company archives and stuff :D
also including Prometheus must shine some light on the discrepancies of original alien trilogy techlevels and the shiny new stuff on the Prometheus ... sure each flic is a product of its time BUT in universe what sense does es make that that exploration ship had friggin holodisplays and holo-cams while the Nostromo basicly was driven by a cluster of c64 named MU-TH-R alongside with crt displays, comicly huge keycars with holes and anachronisme like that, excluding Prometheus makes far more sense ...
for retconing Alien3 or Ressurection ... since A4 in my mind is already an inhouse spoof movie there is no need to, even though there are some moments i like, also the idea of Ripley-Alien hybrid is intriguing and could add some layers on the cosmic horror which is that xenomorph creatures ... retconong 3 i think would only be necessary if there is no other way of explaining why Ripley would be still alive since she took that queen inside her down in that final moment, i still like the 3 angles of Alien3 with that intruder type darkhouse route, i mean there is a male population where Ripley is found in, 2nd vector in that scenario is that Ellen isn't convicted of crimes which deemed society worthy of that punishement and thatn we have the xenomorph amongst its prey, some effects are poorly aged but the overall concept is great since i like the idea of a smart hunter which has to be beaten by clever tactics and maneuvers instead of gunning down large amounts of them .... you can geuss that i don't like the swarm idea as depicted in Aliens, sure an active inteligent hive would be a great oponent but those Xenomorphs basicly where cannonfodder, mindless drones while the Xenomorph in original Alien and Alien3 worked more stealthily, cunning and mysterious, like in Alien Isolation, THAT is the alien i want to see in swarm level not mindless drones which are swept away with superrior firepower
i mean even the mindless bugs on planet P and Tango Urilla had some alternative attackroutes, sure they were vastly superrior in numbers but the attack on outpost 21 showed they were far more than cannofodder, also the good old longrange plasmabugs killing the carriervessels in orbit shows that even swarm have some means tip their battles in their favor ... sure the hive in Aliens wasn't as big as the bug infestation in Starship Troopers but still, what is the point where Xenomorphs degenerate from hunters to mindless drones ... the fact there is queen? ... but i love the Aliens design in aliens, it looks awesome
since i don't get my desired meaning of xenomorph existence in first place, i still think the infested derelict ship in original Aliens is crashed there because an alien infestation, either as weapon from/against spacejockeys or a cosmic horror thingie were the spacejockeys ship catched those organisms and couldn't quarantine it ... given the biomechanical nature of the ship, the jockeys tech and stuff i doubt that and tend more to the weapon thingie ... maybe the jockeys at some distant past were contractors of the Predators to provide hunting grounds and stuff ...
one thing that still scares me is the decisionmaking which rating that proposed Alien5 movie would have, the abysmal idea of AvP making that content PG is mindboggling moneygrabbing executive decisionmaking i absolutely hate, so yeah we have gruesome killingmachines from space with horrifying methods of reproduction and acidblood, why don't we make some kidsfreindly saturday moring cartoon out of that stuff beacuse it doesn't change the aestheteics at all if we can't show all that gore and body horrors
That would be a great idea since they sacrificed so many lives (The colony, the marines, the ships full of company workers and the prisoners).

I dont like Scotts direction with the prequels. Hes so hung up with this Rogue AI/Android angle. If he wants to do that he should go back to Blade Runner. Alien is about the alien, not a rogue AI. (Yes I know androids are a part of the world for alien but they are not the center of it)
I saw Prometheus. I didn't mind it. But I can't be bothered about Covenant. From the previews it just seems like the same old shit. Star Wars has already gone that route under Disney with Star Wars: The Cash-Grab Awakens/The Last SoyBoy...
The 'Rogue AI' thing only fluctuated with Covenant. Prometheus by itself was more centered on the Engineers than anything else. I thought it was a good movie.

I don't like the idea that an android modified and created the alien xenomorphs. Some things are better left a mystery. I choose to believe that the alien evolved on its own and Dave was simply just there as a bystander. He created nothing! That's how it should be. Lave the mystery of evolution alone.
Can we just forget Alien Covenant ever happened and give us the Prometheus sequel we wanted.
I'm with you dude I loved Prometheus. I did like all of the exploration of David's involvement with creating the aliens though and all the mutations. The spores were particularly fiendish and scary. 👌🏾✌🏾

Please do another Alien movie! Have Ripley in cryotube dreaming when the ship crashes to earth on Resurrection suddenly wake up from cryosleep and make it all a bad dream which is what 3 and 4 was. The idea of filming with less CG is a very good idea as the first two movies still look better than most all sci fi movies today.

I agree as well, I actually hated some of the director cut crap. The dog scene worked so much better than that Ox, you can even see some of the pre-cuts in the Ox where the damn thing comes out. I do wish that there wasn't an F word in every other sentence though.
There's sound of an egg opening at the Aliens, so it was in somebody's head well before Alien 3.
As bad as 3 was... resurrection was 5 times worse.

Disney has no control over it besides funding and scheduling. Lucasfilm still makes Star Wars, Marvel still makes, well... Marvel... And 20th Century Fox would still make Alien

Considering Alien 3 was such a slap in the face to the end of Aliens, it absolutely should retcon it.
But not "another dimension" just state it like it is, "another vision of where the franchise could go."

The theatrical version of Alien3 felt like a slap in the face, I'll give you that, but the assembly cut certainly wasn't and brought the franchise back to its roots. Rather have that than the family orientated version Cameron envisioned, with Hicks, Newt and Ripley against the alien, which would have likely buried the franchise, and I for one am so glad we didn't get that or Blomkamp's fan boy attempt to retcon his way into this series, when it's been shown time and time again that retconning doesn't work, it just makes things worse.

After Blomkamp's Oats shorts (particularly Rakka and Zygote) I really want to see what he could do with the Alien franchise. Although, the collection of Alien short films coming out soon give me some hope, particularly the shots of the Xeno that's not completely drenched in KY jelly.
The Aliens were supposed to be weaponized into controllable soldiers for the military. They were seen as excellent infiltration units into enemy areas and buildings, and were robust fighters.. The movies always hinted that the aliens were wanted for research but never fully explained it. THAT is the film that I've been waiting for but never came.
These days they might be contemplating a 13-episode tv series instead of a movie. 😛
The biggest problem the Alien franchise has is Ridley Scott - he ruined huge parts of it with Prometheus and Covenant. He should be stopped from doing any more damage!
Exactly. Prometheus didn't give you the sense that the people on the ship could actually work together. The engineers felt contrived, creatures willed into existence because the plot needs them. It was lousy at every level. Really, we don't need to know who the space jockey was, or what the motivations of his race were. A more interesting story is what we do with it, which is why the proposed Alien5 was far more interesting than the dumpster fire of Prometheus and Covenant.
I swear someone had their head stuff up their ass when they killed off Newt and Hicks two continuing story lines or a better Alien 3. Sometimes I wonder if fans could write better story lines along with the art.
OMG I hope Blomkamp makes this and the story doesn't get retcon'd or f'd up.

Little late to the commentary, but having rewatched the prequels last night it seems kinda obvious that Engineers use the black goo to build structures and ships and Aliens are an undesired side effect when the goo is used inappropriately or incorrectly.
That they get a life of their own is David's story.
A collab between James Cameron and Neil Blomkamp based on this concept art would be exactly what the Alien franchise needs, especially if the script is as good as Sigourney Weaver says it is. The concept art completely nails the tone of the Alien universe. It's the perfect blend of blocky 70's futurism, rag tag military and freakish H R Giger style sexualised biomechanical body horror. This is exactly where Fox needs to be focusing.
@Sam Fisher Normally I'd be inclined to agree with you, and I like Alien 3 as well, but it was a far cry from what it was intended to be, even David Fincher would agree. As for Alien Resurrection, it's one of Joss Whedons biggest regrets, saying that "There will always be a shitty alien movie out there. A shitty alien movie with my name on it." I think that this film is exactly what the franchise needs after Ridley Scott's prequel films
@Sam Fisher It was, but I still enjoyed it. At the time I already knew Alien was done for. Resurrection was just a comic book spin-off movie.
Covenant wasn’t good; the wait and build-up to seeing the Space Jockies on their world was dashed in an instant and Dr. Lisbeth Salander was ingloriously done in, no less off camera.

Scott wasn't interested in making more Alien films so he disingenuously decided to take the franchise in a completely different direction instead. When Prometheus divided fans he tried again, this time more subtly, with Covenant.
I wonder if Rian Johnson was influenced by his decisions :-D

I love the Alien universe, and always hoped they'd go back to the same style and environment of the original movies.
I would love to see Blomkamp's Alien, the only thing I would remove would be some of the more outlandish mutations in the Xenomorphs. It makes them feel like a cheap monster that would work in a resident evil movie more than that perfect organism. I think xenomorphs bred from more exotic hosts would work better and be really interesting since we haven't seen them before. I hope James Cameron can help make it happen though!
I agree, I like the xeno variations from different hosts and environments, but the Wey U "altering" stuff can get crazy.
@Lucy Logan Blomkamp is a god of directing. I vaguely agree that keeping "the family" is unnecessary, in the same way that I don't need to see Jonesy's kittens survive the alien. Then again retconning everything after Aliens would be no great loss. Either way.
@Lucy Logan I get what you mean, but I think It could be good just from the guidance of someone like Cameron and I think Blomkamp has a passion for SciFi and Alien so creatively it could work. I also reeeeally didn't like resurrection, so I don't mind the retconing 😂

This will center around the Ellen Ripley charater, the 57 years she spent in cryo-sleep after escaping The Nostromo. It is believed" that Ripley drited through The Quar-Systems, but" the shuttle entered temporal space. The "set" self destruct quad-mega ton device that destroyed The Nostromo triggered a space warp that snared Ripley's shuttle before encountering The Alien on-board. Ripley reached temporal space by way of the space warp, her battle with The Alien took place in temporal space. She altered 8 realities or more by drifting into each reality and being encountered by a salvage company. The Alien''s remains was collected by a science mother vessel "similar to The Science/Military Vessel AURIGA" in 2 or more realities. Each salvage company in each reality "after sampling" Ripley's DNA from life-support, chose to leave her in space because the on-board chronometer posted a time that is unknown to them" and "besides" Medical will only pay for her DNA -everything else is worthless, save" one reality "in which" a salvage company recognized the posted on-board chronometer time, and Ripley is in the green.😏😏😏😏

Further, let Bloemkamp 9 remake the prequels. He’s creative. He can fix this.
Ridley Scott may have started it but he's ruining the lore of Alien with the prequels. If he wanted to do a deep philosophical dive using alien engineers then he should've started a new, separate universe.
*Prometheus's true-sequel **_Paradise Lost_** was going to answer all the important questions - the original script to **_Paradise Lost_** is still on the internet.*
But that's not the film we got and Prometheus has it's own problems, not just Covenant wasting it's setup and if you have to read scripts or expanded universe works or wait for DVD features to fill in the blanks then the film failed at it's storytelling. These things can be used to enrich lore but not stand in it's place.

The lore of Alien was ruined in Aliens, when Cameron turned them into mindless bugs. A whole army of them was somehow less dangerous than a single alien. People also seem to forget how awful Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection were. Ridley’s idea of Alien lore has never changed, he’s not responsible for the changes made by other filmmakers.
From what I've learned from interviews of RS, he wanted to make 4 prequels with "Awakening" being next so the studio scrapped alien 5. He wanted to go back and revisit some idea's he had and then the reveal of the connection to the original alien's film. He was quoted as being disappointed in Alien 3,4..and stubborn about not connecting to the original movie until the (4th)prequel. When asked about the predator species in relation to the timeline he also disregarded them. Now with dismal numbers at the box office and covid I don't think we'll see anything else anytime soon, or maybe ever. Of course I could be wrong about all this now but I would like to get a different perspective on this from any one if possible..
Pls retcon aliens 3 and alien resurrection. They both had their moments. But I want the surviving characters back and they deserve a better future. I know some of you guys like aliens 3 but I agree with Sigourney Weaver that the story didn't end correctly.
I love the Alien and Aliens movie. I hope they continue or pick up back the story from Aliens as for the movie at least. The space marine are a badass hombre! RIP Bill Paxton.

I think they should make a movie around Amanda Ripley like the Alien Isolation game did. The tie-in book from last summer did a great job fleshing her backstory (AND by extension Ellen Ripley's backstory of failed marriage etc) and there is plenty of material to have a movie based at least partially from the game. Several interesting characters.
They could probably make a two movie arc at least with her perhaps "infected" and losing her ability to bear children or something to keep the "no children" part canon and intact from Aliens. Or retcon that to have a new "Ripley-McClaren" character. Granddaughter (prefereably as strong-willed women run in the Ripley bloodline) or Grandson of Ellen Ripley run afoul of WY.
It would also be a pass-the-torch story since it could lead to a new series.
Maybe involve relatives of the lost troopers from Aliens joining the story.
Or just have it stay in the 57 year span between Alien and Aliens with Amanda being hunted by WY
for knowing about the Alien species since she is the lone survivor of that fail expedition.
There are dozens of ways that could be made to work.

I would love to see alien 5 I learn more about this strange and bizarre world also I believe utilizing time travel as opposed to an alternate universe like everyone else is doing to add more depth to this story and to explain some of the Unexplained instances in the other movies also it would be a good opportunity to bring in the Alphas and the Predators since eventually a crossover may take place thank you for sharing this information I love your videos I appreciate all you have done

I think the big problem with the prequels is that despite Ridley saying it was in the same universe but not a direct prequel to Alien, everyone went to see Prometheus and still expected it to be one. So, the studio told him to make the sequel to that film an Alien movie and Ridley kit-bashed what he had wanted to do with Prometheus with what the fans and studios wanted from Alien and the result was another red-headed stepchild in the franchise that no one really wants.
I’m with Neill Blomkamp on that one... Alien: Isolation is my favourite entry into the franchise too.

"Alien Summer" Deep in the forests of Colorado a group of older, mature teenagers under the direction of a Chuck Norris military type are in training to become Navy Seals. Also present is a coven of witches, three of whom, rather young, direct a meteor to land nearby. But the meteor has a passenger...you guessed it.
I would love it! The comic did it and it was awesome! And from what it sounded like going through the art they were definitely taking from that universe.
The "Aliens" comics published by Dark Horse had a few good storylines and concepts; one story united Newt and Hicks for a time.
Worth a look.

Alien 5 NEEDS to be a video game/comic/adult animation at the very least if the film itself never gets made. Put it on Hulu or Netflix if need be.

An adult animated Alien sounds like a good idea and it can be seen as a retelling or alternate timeline to the movie series. I think they should continue after the events of Aliens and ignore Alien 3 and the later films.

Theres so much canon in the omnibus and other books, it'd be awesome to see some movies made from them. And would absolutely love to see some history on the engineers and the black goo and xenos.

As a lifelong fan of the franchise, I would be very happy with a retcon of Alien 3 and 4. I would hope that they don't retcon Prometheus and Covenant. I'm not saying that they should flood the movie with Engineers, but some sort of nod to them, and maybe the real concern that those who remain might pose a threat toward Earth would be nice. Maybe there's even a division of factions within the company, wherein some want to exterminate the Engineers if they can find them, and others hope to find non-hostile Engineers in order to learn from them. I wouldn't expect the later faction to wish to learn from them as a means of good will. It's all about power.
Even then, this should be a backdrop thing. Keep the focus on the threat that the Xenomorph, and perhaps more so, Weyland-Yutani, represent(s).
damn shame they never went down this route. Instead we got Covenent. "In space, no one can hear you groan".
Neill Blomkamps idea are probably the best future for the serie. After several disappointing movies like 3, ressurection, avp, avpr, prometheus and covenant we need something to bring the fans back and Ripley and Hicks would do just that
1. Alien - Awesome.
2. Aliens - equally awesome.
3. Alien 3 - WTF? !
4. Alien Resurrection - WTF? X 10

To be fair, both A3 and Resurrection were good films, but took the story into a weird arc. ( I suspect, more to do with movie politics behind the scenes, which thus dictated the direction that the franchise went).

5. Prometheus - As a prequel, excellent and moving in the right direction in giving a backstory to the 'Space Jockey/Engineers' and the Xenomorph itself.
6. Alien: Covenant - WTF? X 10 Exp 50 (see below)

So, the franchise went pearshaped initially with Alien 3. Although the filming and action were entertaining, they should never have killed off Newt, Hicks and eventually Ripley. Alien 3 should have perhaps brought the story home to Earth, or a Solar system colony (Mars?). Those three characters were strong and would have carried the story on well enough.

Jumping to the prequels - Didley Squat did a good job on Prometheus, but should have taken the story further with its sequel, by taking Elizabeth Shaw and AI - David's characters further (any chance to see the lovely Noomi Rapace is fine by me... And Fastbender is always enigmatic with a capital 'E' ) into the story arc of 'The Engineer' species homeworld - which is what we were expecting/hoping for.

Covenant was such a disappointment. As one other suggests here, it was more about the rogue AI (David) than the Xenomorph or Engineer species. Leaving us with the notion that the Xenomorph was in fact a vicarious human construct, than an actual alien species. So no wonder the Mega Corp - Weyland-Yutani knew of the species prior to its discovery by the hapless crew of the 'Nostromo'.

The only part I can empathise with in that film, was David's disgust of the human species itself and the possible obscured metaphor (R Scott ?) that humans will most certainly bring about their own demise - *a fact now becoming a certain reality.*

Alien 5 - Why the heck not? The franchise is so fucked up now, any direction is going to simply be another hour and three quarters sci-fi entertainment, like AvP or AvP Requiem. The former of which was pretty good, whilst the latter was simply too dark (visually) to properly enjoy. And speaking of *darkness* - All of the franchise was set in dark environments (perhaps with the exception of Alien: Resurrection...). That is why I think that the Xenomorph should have arrived on Earth and been visible, terrifying humans in daylight!

I had written a unready SVP Story. I felt that somehow there need to be explained why Predators are against Aliens. Ans so i wrote something that shows a piece of culture. Story: Predators use Aliens as part of their initiation ritual as we know from AVP. So i decide to show that predators also use the Aliens as a weapon of maas destruktion. So after the humanity claim the space they do reach a point when they meet the Solar System of the Predators. And in a very worry situation they decide to blow up one of the ships of them that try to contact peacfully. What would be not so bad but the Explotion did kill a hidden stealth childwood place on a near by planet. That was holy to the predators. Becourse the place was absolutly unarmed and full with females and childs. After that a war was set up to earth and a spacefleet of predators drop out in the earth orbit. So they decide to weeken and destroy earth by infecting the Planet with Eggs. So they shoot some Eggs and Queen Aliens in stealth drop vehicles down to earth. There the Aliens get in to the jungle of the Citys, down below in the very old canalisation. That was grown over hundreds of centurys. Meanwhile the predators watch carefully from outer space how the infection is growing. And the military of the earth is now beeing forced against a very huge plague of Aliens that are catching more and more humans in the Citys. But not all oft the predators are on line with that way the war is going. Becourse the use of the hunting species was strictly forbidden in the religion. It has to be controlled. In that story the Predators had found the Mother of all Alien Queens and did slave her on a nearby moon to their homeplanet. In a very old ancient and very huge building. That tells the Story how the Mother Queen was captured. When the military of the earth get contact to the predators that are on the Side against the aliens - humans are between. The War on earth is a very huge battle with a lot of Bullets and other weapons. Based on the Design of Aliens. And the military look of that movie. The story show how humans are strong but they dont know what is realy going on until one of the predators tells them. He became a treator, and he is the son of the oldest one in the Tribe of Predators. He understand that what happen was an tragic accident. And thinks that the law of his warrior religion was broken by his father. That has supressed him becoming the next leader of the Tribe. Becourse he had failed the ritual in the old temple of the first Alien Queen. He help the humans tracking down the Aliens but they where much to much to fight. So they decide to blow up the City that was once New York. When his father recognice that - he decide to switch of the Stealth mechanism of the Space fleet. And attack the Space and Military Stations in the whole Solar system. The Battle was nothing more than a blood bath without any kind of honer. And when it comes to the point he wants to blow up the earth with antimatter explosives - his son stand up to kill him. A battle beginns and the Son win the Fight. And together with the Marines they decide to blow up the main infections. He ask for the great battle and the Predators goes for a hunt. Side by side with marines. Stoping the infection just the right time. Millions of humans and many predators will loose their lifes. But in the end the new Leader of the Tribe and the Human that earn the respekt becourse they where fighting side by side get a pact. That when ever some outbreak like that happen again they will fight together. And he left earth as a huge warrior King to his whole species. In the Timeline of the Alien Movies - it will be after Alien 4. And the Android aswell as the Ripley Clone Hybrid are involveld. Both die, but thats a side story. I had very cool pictures of the Temple in mind, a Desert Planet that has only that huge Temple that contains the Mother Queen. Sized so huge that she was unable to move 40 Feet high and over 80 feet long. Looking more like some kind of
a centipede. The Story of the catching is the Story of the first warrior that united the different Tribes. So every leader had to do that ritual beeing accepted by his followers. Walking in the footsteps of the great warriors of the past. I tried to develop a basic social struktur. Implement females too, that are different in look and more to religion and Art and genius tech and weapon developers. So one of them, give her loved man a new weapon becourse she wants to be the new Wife of the Next Leader. So giving that predator a backround with feelings that he is not showing while he is on his hunt or in War, makes the whole Story realy credible. And gives the audience answers to the questions who and why and where. So i had in mind some kind like african war tribes just with Predator background. They have Spaceships, colony on different planets, stealth space Stations and a very komplex sozial Struktur. Females are born much more often then males and stand out for the sozial Aspekts and Technology development. The females are builders. And they had to fight for favour to the male and if the male likes what the female gives him, to access power and leadership - they get a sexual binding. That give birth to 4-6 Eggs. So the male can have a harem that contains their power and create a own Tribe. So you get the idea what that story goes like. Perhaps anyone else can write it down but that would be awsome to watch on big screen. Like a mix of Aliens, AVP and Cyberpunk. The oportunity playing with dark places in a world class City is amazing. Facehuggers that hunt children, or gamblers getting catched to bring them in to the sewerage. Aliens that hunt on dark Subway stations. Or Predators beeing hunted by the military after the Drop vehicles land in a skyscraper. Or other places. Or infiltrating Military bases of humans. There are so many posibilitys to pimp it on a visual scale that it can be a trilogy for its own.
Scott really has a chance and missed it. Let nobody is talking that Prometheus wasn't good in earnings and fans wanted more aliens because Scott went to the project with clear mind what he wants so there is no excuse for me to back off just because... Or let he do it to full or let he go away from project. Like this is it just mess.

Yes make it already. Alien 5, the return of Bishop, Nute (My name is...), Ripley & Hicks. About time. The movie they should of made instead of the Alien 3 that was originally made.
I think the queen is supposed to be there. She may have recently been dropped there. It is likley that the company, to lessen breakouts, would keep them in a large natural enclosure. Probably to see how they hunt creatures that belong in said environment. Its likley there were many different enclosures with different environments and creatures, to gain more data on xenomorph behaviors. I imagine seeing a genetics lab on the station as well.

Yes, would like to see that movie. Yes, it should retcon 3&4 they kinda stunk. The movie should be the fall of earth from an alien invasion. Would be epic and setup a storyline for a new franchise to retake earth.

I'd like to see the sequel to covenent get made and then something that happens after resurrection, with new characters but ties up what happens to the ripley clone afterwards.
As much as I like the "what if" scenarios, alien 3 and 4 did happen whether you liked them or not and trying to make them somehow not have happened would be a convoluted mess.
Just have some exposition of what has happened so far and then get on with a new story with new characters.
IDK about the factory pic, everything that's engineer construction usually appears to be either Biotechnical or Biomechanical in construction, the factories structure is just mechanical. Everything the engineers create seems to come from some sort of other biological thing.
It can include Alien 3 and 4 - but above all, it should retcon the prequels out of it -
The prequels had potential, if only they had been "sequels" offshoot stories about an android - (David) finding the xenomorphs on some exploration mission with WEYU crew - finding the aliens, David chooses to kill the humans, take the alien eggs and spreading them around on human colonies- now that would have been brilliant. we could have had 3 movies where David first finds the aliens and the unleashes them on several human colonies. - because he feels more connected to this perfect organism then his own creators - but he is careful enough not to become prey as well.
I'd love for this to happen. Hicks, Newt and Ripley. Alien 3 was a nihilistic disaster that threw away everything that happened in the first two films.

Why couldn't alien 3 just have been another encounter with the xenos and not the the death of all the main characters? Like it happened at that prison and all but Ripley wasn't there?
I actually like prometheus and covenant. Both have there issues, but both are compelling questions and I think David is a fascinating character. As a scifi movie both prometheus and covenant have made me want more. Idk where all the hate for the movies come from, but Im all for the continuation for more prequel films
Alien3 and Ressurection can belong to the same fucked up alternate universe as Prometheus/Covenant and let this Alien "5" belong in the prime universe that'd make everyone happy.

Yes,I would like to see the Alien series to play through.I've spent many years waiting for a another sequel with the stories continuing.I think the latest movies are mesmorizing and well done, but it kind of went off course, at least in my opinion.

I would also put down that Alien 3 and Resurrection would be altered to be BOTH based upon “Clones,” by the “Company” that was already trying to manipulate Ripley into cooperating to help the Company.
And that the REAL Ripley, Newt, and Hicks are still on the Sulaco, which the Company has locked-down, with all associated parts/people. And, due to “Insurgents” infiltrating Weyland-Yutani, because they know about the Alien Experiments, and how dangerous they are, they wind up discovering the Sulaco, and Ripley, Newt, and Hicks in the process...
That's actually one of the smartest ways to do it that I've seen besides alt universe or time travel. I love it.

I actually have hope with Disney. Cuz yeah, I love all the bew Star Wars films, Marvel, all of it. It all depends on the directors and writers they choose, but regardless, I have a feeling we're gonna get some amazing set designs, special effects, and costumes.
District 9 and Chappie were both brilliant. I can only imagine Blomkamp's sequel to Aliens. Too bad it will never happen.

The extended franchise was dabbled with time travel as much as we'd like to ignore it. But if Ripley is to be included it's the only way to make this movie, I'm afraid.

Also what I would find really cool about Neet in this film is if they could convince Carrie Henn to play her character again. It would take some time but Onthink it would be extremely awesome.
