The Laws of Cricket explained: bit.ly/CricketLaws
This animated series has been produced as a helpful guide to clarify the Laws of Cricket by MCC.
MCC has been the owner of the Laws of Cricket since the 18th century and continues to be a robust law-maker and guardian of the Spirit of Cricket today. The current, up-to-date Laws can be found at www.lords.org/mcc/laws-of-cric...

I love cricket and know the game very well. Watching this series of videos makes me appreciate the game more because it is such an intricate sport. This series also made me understand how difficult it is to explain the entire game to someone. Beautiful game still.
Not out
Make video on deflection of ball by running batsman leading to overthrow boundary...
Ask Ben stokes and kumar dharmasena about it
good step by lords cricket ground channel to raise the awareness about the rules of cricket among common peoples and good presentation too... keep it up
The animated guy looks like Joe root. 😁
No
This is Stuart Broad, look carefully.
Well explained
New rules.says if bat is in air at time of dislodging bails it's out
that's what they are saying
@@jefflarry4944 they are saying if bat touch the ground inside crease then lifted it is not out. New rules say it doesn't matter anymore bat or body part has to touch the ground at time of dislodging bails. Do you read any rules or aware about it.
@@sumanmanna5340Ok, I guess that makes sense
@@sumanmanna5340 In fact, the rule in the video still applies.
Its cricket, we call it LAW, not rule.
make a video on 1of the over (bouncer)
Nice video
Bhai Plss reply That If team india net run rate after one match is +0.9 so, if we have To Add this in Whole net run rate like (+0.678) how can we do this
I love cricket
how many laws are in cricket?
42
law has changed
what happens if the batsman hits the stumps while running to another crease.
Not out
Dead ball
Guess baristow never saw this video :)
It is been changed in October
Bowler ne ball ko haath me pakadkr wicket se hand touch kiya n ki ball kya yh run out hoga
Batsman plays a shot by going out of his crease and ball hits the stumps at the bowlers end? Is Batsman on strikers end out, if following are the conditions:
1. Bowler has touched the ball before it hit the stumps
2. Batsman at non-strikers(bowlers) end is present in his crease
3. The batsman on strikers end is out of his crease when ball hit the stumps
If strikers batsman is out, is there any video clip(s) available on internet which is showing the same kind of dismissal in international cricket? Please share the link of the video if available
Thank you,
It is not out. The only person that could be out is the non striker, and since the non striker is in the crease,he/she can not be run out.
Batter
1.27, this rule has been changed now.
most complex sport in the world for sure
Its very odd. Growing up in a country where cricket is a major sport (Australia), i have learnt these laws through simply watching. But when explained in these videos it really sheds light on how complex it is.
Stumping in no ball is out or not out?
Out
It's out
You can't be stumped off a no ball.
You can only be out run out, hitting the ball twice or interfering with the field
What if the ball misses the batsman but he starts to run for a bye, when the keeper collects the ball and strikes the wicket while the non striker hasn't moved from his position. Will it be considered runout?
When the batsmen try to run second run and get run out on non striker's end who will take the strike?
1.)The not out batsman
2.) Or The new batsman
I have also Same question with your question if a batsman runout during his send run at non striker end in middle over last ball then which batsman is played in next over
The not out batsmen takes the strike as the new batsmen will take the place of run out batsmen at the non strikers end
If the batsman has run out of his crease during a free hit, and the keeper manages to make the ball touch the ground first and then proceeds to stump the batsman.. Will he be considered run-out?
Rules varies with gully cricket but in either your case the rule of stumping applies. The batsman is not attempting to score runs
):49 M.S Dhoni
why not use their instead of his or her
exactly what i was thinking!
Because their can be interpreted as both the batsman but he/she refers to a single batsman
Wrong saying from new rule
while running a single run in cricket, if the non striker does not leave the crease and the striker reaches the other end and a fielder hits the non striker stumps, is anyone out?
I don't see how anybody could be out in that case, but I don't know the exact rule.
Bats"man" ....her. wow.
Batswoman isnt a term !
@@akhilalexg yes it is
@@shaharyarshahid1370 never heard that in a woman's cricket commentary .
@@akhilalexg th-cam.com/video/4QgkvlCY0oA/w-d-xo.html
@@akhilalexg check it out bruh
now this rule change
Hardik Saxena no this is the changed rule hence why it was made after the rule changed
And Now it's Batter
These videos should be played during match
0:08 wait so even a female batting is called a batsman?? No such thing as a batswoman??
It's now not out if Batman's any part is in or over the crease
in 2019 it is not out if your bat is in the air also
who wins the match if 3 runs are left and the player hits the ball in the air and is caught after running 3 runs
First of all the fielding team wins
Second of all imagine how high that ball should go for the batting team to run 3 before being caught out.
In case of catch out the runs scored gets cancelled
@@shabanaasgher6353 you should comply with the rules only. If your perception is imminent then how come 34 runs from 1 ball was not being awarded a walkover by the umpire and allowed to play on?
Noice
sir but the new law
kholi No Ball???
Now some amendments has been made in this rule. If the bat of the player is in the air but crossed the line then he will remain not out.
There are no runners in Cricket now
Why is this channel giving wrong information
Posted on "27 September 2017"
that only applies to international cricket
Definitely, you are curse on india.
Dhoni 🥺☹️
