150 kph bowlers are only a concern for the elite umpires. Most of us have more modest bowling to be concerned with. You are right though, umpiring, is not an easy thing to do, it requires constant concentration, knowledge and understanding of the laws and experience of game situations plus being able to deal with new situations when they occur. You also need to be able to relate to players and understand that they can get carried away by events momentarily.

A no ball has been called. The striker who is batting outside the crease plays the ball to short cover who immediately puts down the wkt at the striker end with a direct hit. The striker is out of his crease but is not attempting a run. On appeal, what will the umpire's decision be?

If the ball is above the waist height of the batsman at the popping crease then it will be a no ball. Hitting the stumps is irrelevant. All one need to check is if the ball is above the waist height of the batsman at the popping crease or not. If yes, even if the ball hits the stumps, it will be a no ball.

According to the ICC's playing condition, if the 3rd umpire checks the no ball after a wicket falls, any runs scored from that ball will be ignored. Hence in the case you have mentioned, though they had completed one run before the ball was caught, no run will be added to the score. One run for no ball will be added and free hit will be awarded next ball.

Something that I don't seem to be able to get a clear or unanimous agreement on from cricket fans I know is when i) stumping, ii) run-out and iii) dead ball should be called in the event of 'untidy' attempted stumpings by the wicket keeper. I have seen one given a run out when the wicketkeeper dropped the stumping but then picked the ball up again off the floor and broke the wicket. I have also seen this given a stumping. There is also the case as exemplified in the recent Women's T20 world cup when Alyssa Healy was adjudged to have stumped Harmanpreet Kaur. In this case, the keeper did not gather the ball but the ball ricocheted off the keeper's pads onto the stumps with the batter (batsman) out of her ground. Another cricket fan told me that this should have been given dead ball, yet another said stumping was correct, I would have said it should have been called a run out!
I think dead ball case is not involved here at all (Alesha Halley n kaur ) but it was stumping since the keeper has not made the second attempt to stump it,it incidentally recocheted and hit stump, which means it was attempt to stump , although not smooth as it usually is ,but afterall it was a whole act of single stmping attempt made by keeper even if she failed to do it cleanly and kaur was well outside crease,, dear if keeper makes second attempt to uproot stumps after failing in first instance lead to run out but that was not d case here ,ra8!?? ....
Some fan's opinion of dead ball seems to be some sort of emotional or there thinking that after keeper failed to grab it ,,,,the ball comes out of plying time (usually after whole process of delivery is completed and till next bowl is not bowled ,the ball is considered to be dead ball that is not in plying condition, even in this gap if batsman mistakenly hits stump it will not be considered hit out, applying this dead ball period...I hope you got something clear ,le me know it. 👍

If the second pitch is inside the crease then it is a valid ball. Hence it will be given out in the case you have mentioned.

What happens if the umpire didn't see the ball on a lbw appeal.
Ideally it is umpires duty to watch the ball. However if his vision gets blocked by the bowler then the umpire can not give it out LBW. Before giving the batsman out, the umpire has to be 100% sure that it is out.

No. Runs are not awarded.
The situation is: One run is need from last ball to win the match. The umpire has given the batsman LBW. (They completed one run during the appeal). There after the batsman goes for DRS and 3rd umpire's decision is NOT OUT.
*** Question is: What will be the result of the match; TIE or WIN BY BATTING SIDE ????
No run will be given in this case. Hence the result of thr match will be TIE.

Bowling Underarm is not allowed and it will be called a no ball if someone bowls underarm.
But what about the 1981 incident when a player of Australia bowls an underarm bowl against a kiwi Bater?

If a batsman got catch out in free hit ball( it will not given out because it is free hit)...meanwhile the batsman completed 1st single but during the incomplete 2nd single ball got caught....then how many runs will be given?
Since it's a free hit, the ball won't become dead once the catch is taken. So the batsmen can keep running till the throw comes
