Apologies, couldn't tell if you were laughing at him or laughing with him ;) I assume he was joking, as at the end when the presenter/runner claimed to be the real star of the show, and when Jodie responded by demanding she go and get her a drink.
Walsh fits this quote: "There's no point in being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes."- Fourth Doctor I never tire of watching him in this clip! Not afraid to cause mischief lol.
I'm glad we are getting bts stuff like we used to with DW Confidential and DW Extra, but it's a bummer that BBC didn't do this with pretty much all Capaldi's era.
One thing that is noticably missing from You Tube though is Christel Dee and The Doctor Who Fan Show (BBC allegedly cancelled it back in July, but the hosts to my knowledge have neither confirmed or denied this that I can tell). But if it's true it's a damned shame since it has ran since Tennants era (maybe earlier).
Presenter chick: *sits down* Jodie: “Can you get me a drink please” Yasmin: *awkward* Presenter chick: “Yep” Yas and jodie: *awkward pause* Jodie:”aHahHahHA”
There's a lot of wannabe actors and presenters who start off as runners and production assistants, because even starting off at the bottom gives them the opportunity to meet the right people.
I know her IRL, actually. She had a cameo in an episode in Season 10 (I think it was 'Oxygen'), is the girlfriend of one of the actors who plays a lot of tall monsters (the Mummy, one of the Monks, etc.), and is a really cool lass.
I gotta admit I was skeptical when I heard Bradley was gonna be a companion, but now I genuinely love it. Need a companion like Graham and Im looking forward to seeing more of Bradleys on set shenanigans 😂
I've just started re watching Capaldi's first season and laughed when the doctor and Clara were trapped and trying to get the sonic, Clara says 'maybe next time make one that doesn't roll' (or something along those lines). After watching the first episode its clear that the doctor listened to her because I doubt the new one will roll. That's what I love about this show, its the little details and throwbacks that they add in.
Most of the content is the same as confidential, but just with a different style presenting it all. I definitely preferred confidential but this and all the other videos could totally be edited all together in a style similar to that
I was able to have a chat with Crystal Dee, of FiveWhoFans and Dr Who: The Fan Show, at VworpCon in Manchester. I asked her about the future of the Fan Show and if it would return and she said she was now running/is one of the high-ups in the Dr Who marketing department. She said with that new position she isn't looking to do something like the Fan Show, however, she knew that something along those lines was good for marketing and a hit with viewers. She said that since the big re-brand of Dr Who as a whole, it would be wrong to bring back the Fan Show as it was, especially with her as host. What she did tell the BBC was that they should aim for a show more a-kin to Star Wars Show, in terms of presentation and features. Glad they listened to her, this works a treat :)
OK BBC hear me out. If you want to make a confidential/Fan Show that's fine by me - but don't release 50% beforehand in little clips scattered around various social medias, just release the whole thing. Seven minutes isn't going to kill a Facebook/Instagram/Twitter user.
How come they didn't do this in the last few years? I would've loved to've seen Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman joking around behind the scenes as they were said to have done quite a lot. And sneaking junk food. It's like, after Confidential stopped, they didn't care to give us BTS stuff. Now they suddenly care again.
"You think that's bad ...." - pulls out a mars bar 😂😂😂😂 hahahaha love it! And "I've only been here for about two minutes" hehehe Love her!!!! And Mandip and Tosin playing - they're all so cute and lovely - and lively!!!! Interesting that the costume designer is actually there on set as well- I wonder if he's there all the time or just for the first ones ? Oh I need Confidential back so we can get an in depth look at each area, and what they do for different episodes. My favourite is the stunts and the mechanics of explosions and real/ physical special effects - but I'd love to see more on costumes, location scouting and interviews with the writers of each episode about what they've written, and with the actors about their character progressions etc 💕💕💕💕
2:34 "in very very sunny Wales" Excuse me? You're giving Wales a bad rep! Every welshman (or, as I say, Welshie) knows Wales is the rainy country of Britain!! 😹😹😹😹😹
Okay, was that supposed to be some hidden joke? Like, is Tim Shaw a member of the British parliament or something? I'm American, and while I loved the joke I kept wondering if there was another layer to it I wasn't quite getting
Jodie making her sonic literally made me think of John Pertwee making all sorts of gadgets for his work in UNIT. Not to mention Bessie. God I love that car
Hand of Sutekh, but what need would the Doctor have for it? If she drove it anywhere, she’d have to drive it back to the TARDIS. It made sense for the Third Doctor to have a car since he was exiled on Earth, but in most other settings there’d be no point as it’d be so much quicker to take the TARDIS.
@@tivednagol9127 ah yes, I can see your point, although the car made an appearance in Robot with Tom Baker and in the 7th Doctor adventure Battlefield, where the Doctor took all his friends out to dinner in old Bessie if I remember right. Maybe they were nice little cameos for the old car :)
The Doctor vs Hell's Toothfairy. If you tell me this wasn't a good start for this season, YOU'RE CRAZY! I mean, Jodie looked exactly like a mad scientist during the "Sonic screwdriver's building" scene, IT WAS AWESOME!
I actually like this more than the confidentials. If they continue with these "Behind the Scenes" thing while the episodes are coming out (Unlike the confidentials, which were shown after the series ended), they will be able to engage the viewers and keep them interested in between episodes.
Of course it’s no Confidential, but this is cool! You should release these episodes before you release the individual behind the scenes clips online though, because I feel like this is just a compilation of clips we’ve already seen throughout the week.
Not really loving the hosts. I think it worked better when we had someone like Matt Lucas on the set interacting with the actors, as apposed to some rando teen reading lines.
So happy to finally see a woman play the Doctor! I think the time has come for one! They sure found the right actress for her! I know the Doctor always dresses a bit quirky, but as the 1st woman in the role, I had hoped they would change her outfit eventually, since they seem to stay in the same clothes throughout their part, but it went clownish, which can be traditional for the Doctor, but...really?!
Yeah i prefer The Fan Show honestly, the segments are really badly edited together, you really don't need a presenter for this, narration would work much better at piecing it all together, all these clips have been uploaded separately already so what is the point?
This was okay, but too quick. i really enjoyed Doctor Who Confidential.Being from Canada I had a bit of trouble hearing some of the words. thank you Jodie for coming to Toronto last week.
i like them actually. As much as I love the show, if you're going to have a more behind the scenes the runners are pretty vital!! Just because the actors are the only ones we see, there's a hell of a lot more that goes into it, so good for them to get some more excitement! trust me, usually its a pretty thankless task!
She looked fantastic in Capaldi's costume. I was sad to see it go.

No Comments, that's a little like saying that all the Doctors since the reboot have only got the job because they are white. i.e. 99% rubbish.
Closet thing to confidential ... still doesn't beat the feeling of watching it on BBC3!
Agreed, the days of confidential were great! I used to love my Saturday nights watching an episode and then the confidential.
I loved watching how they made the episodes
That’s so true but this is good tho

Glad this exists, but you’ve not come close to Doctor Who Confidential in years!
Most of the content is the same as confidential, but just with a different style presenting it all. I definitely preferred confidential but this and all the other videos could totally be edited all together in a style similar to that
It ain't no Confidential but it can do for now. Still bring back Confidential for the next series
I think this series is a great introduction to the modern TV industry, showing where children, and people, could get involved and create a career.
which is extra hilarious considering jodie jumped off a crane hahahahaha
Jodie was a brilliant casting choice. I love her energy. You can tell she’s having fun with this.
She great but the others are crap and they will need far better story's than about time
She is I agree. The episode 1 was boring as hell though.
why do you have to bring racial drama for no reason? I am Indian and I didn't like any of the companions as of now.
