A year late but let me shed some light on the "It's hot as hell in here" It's been I think confirmed that everybody is going through there own version of Silent Hill. So when James says "It's Hot as Hell in here" what he's actually saying is that he can see Angela's Silent Hill as well as they both have horrible trauma they are running from. So James is letting Angela know that he can see her pain and accepts that she's too damaged to be helped by someone like him.
Actually incredibly surprised he managed to get the good ending. Absolutely everything he did pointed to the bad end but he still managed to avoid it somehow.
@@dimma4c8 It is. Don't interact with any of the items, and don't mess with Maria. I know some people have gotten the Maria ending on their first playthrough, and I think that's the second easiest. Drowned ending is probably the most difficult, since you purposely have to interact with the items several times, which it's rare anyone would even do that. My favorite ending is the ritual ending, too bad you have to do it in a new game plus ending.
Considering the endings for the game are influenced relatively subtle, I'm surprised you didnt get one of the other two. Maybe it's a good thing all the compulsive knife use didnt work against you. I think they're cheatable though up to a certain point. If you treated Maria nicely that's the only baseline thing that needs to be done. After that point, the other two endings can be done by excessive item examining, but checking certain bits/areas in the game will add points to them as well, waiting for the whole Mary conversation, as well as survival habits (see healing promptly). I thought being in gray would influence it but I guess it requires maybe having the health warning flash.
As far as enemies killed, 6 of them had to have been the bosses (2 Pyramid Heads, 3 in the hospital, Eddie). And then the count feels weird since you did drop a lot of enemies with the rifle. Maybe it was the stomping downed enemies impacting those given the high melee count? Or the mod itself? Hmm.
I liked the 1st game better for story and it had more variety of enemies. Still was an entertaining watch though, thanks for the gold commentary. Ps. I horde my ammo too, always end with a ton left.
I would love for you to play Silent Hill 4! It's niche in comparison but honestly really good. Similar vibes to 2 and 3, with a few things new they tried out. Goofy at moments to balance it all out (ie. the voice actor for the main protagonist also sounds somewhat like an AI lmao).
It's not the repetitiveness or just the repetitiveness really in the second half but it's that you have to have Eileen around you and protect her for the good ending.
Tomato, how hard is it to understand that the elevator wants you to remove ALL OF YOUR ITEMS. That was so painful to watch lol. The game is just going to be reading the inventory, and if items in inventory>1 it wont let you on...
It is very funny that after I watch this whole playthrough. I pull out my older cousin's ps2 (note that I got it by help clearing my aunt's garage and had no idea what was inside the ps2. Also got 3 ps3 too.). I was thinking about picking up silent hill 2 or the other games but I needed to see if it works since its the fat model. It starts up normal and then a familiar sound came on. It was silent hill 2. I was laughing like a maniac.
Sh2 is the type of game you play alone for the best experience, it's not a party invite your friends "horror night" type of game. This game was meant to be played alone. Sure, we can all have fun with it streaming and stuff but it just ain't the same.
@@nsfshdfgj I'm gonna call bullshit on that chief. I actually like Vinny's streams of this better, cause he actually takes it seriously. This game is not meant to be made fun of, you can if you want to... But it seriously detracts from the overall tone. Take the poor voice acting for example. In the making of videos of this game, you learn the uncanny voice acting was actually intentional. They purposefully made it bad to make the player feel uneasy listening to it. This game has a lot more depth than people give it credit for, and Tomato not getting that is kinda disappointing.
@@soggybreadman4035 The game’s not perfect, as much as I’d like it. All the work in the world could’ve gone into the dialogues to make purposely crusty and whatever, but it just didn’t make me fee uneasy at all it was just funny, not my fault or anyone’s to laugh at them, several moments of the game are genuinely funny
Eddie: has a gun

tamato's audio has always been very good, i don't think people notice it or appreciate how much effort this guy would've taken to do that
Red man bumbles around in the fog for 4 hours
Am I the only one confused by the gap between the first video and this one?
Yeah
Actually incredibly surprised he managed to get the good ending. Absolutely everything he did pointed to the bad end but he still managed to avoid it somehow.
I feel like the good ending is honestly the easiest one to get

Hope TH-cam will keep it this way

Nothing silent about Silent hill
What the actual F were the developers thinking when they added Eddie into this? 😂
first :)
This game is legit terrible and boring. Kojima-fanfiction tier writing and a complete lack of any exciting action. Big yawn.
Congratulations you have made one of the dumbest comments ever.
