I think it's a cool concept but they should have made it a little bigger in the battery department so it could drive more power. Wired headphones are not optimized for lower power most of the time.
I think it's a cool concept but it's a complete waste of money. $100?? Like $150 in Australia. Should I buy 2 games or a Bluetooth thing that makes my headphones wireless......hmmmmmm, and cause 90% of headphones have detachable mics...
+Teemo4Life Its for audio enthusiasts. For those who own 6-7 pairs of $200+ cans. I would always prefer wired over wireless as they have better clarity in most cases.
+Barnacules Nerdgasm the weight on one side of your headphones probably would have unbalanced things. This is the sacrifice of not being integrated, its about as big a headphone tumor as I think most people would accept.
Quick tip: Instead of spending $99 on this, spend $16.99 on the Mpow Streambot Mini Bluetooth 4.0 Receiver which supports Bluetooth 4.0 and will provide wonderful sound. It's a little bigger but that actually allows it to support more features like volume up/down and pause/play.
+Shakib -_- they certify lightning cables bc there is a chip in the iPhone and iPad that can get messed up and make the device not charge on any cable. They're not going to block Bluetooth headphones as they don't put electricity in the phone...
This product makes a lot of sense in a context where slightly upgrading headphones to become wireless would result in the manufacturer raising the cost significantly. For instance, really expensive monitor headphones or balanced listening headphones.
+Cejay Krause +Jeremiah He was replying to "I'll suffer with my wires" By saying that the Wire will give you better sound, and that the better sound from the wire is not suffering.
I combined a tiny wearable headphone amp and a Bluetooth receiver dongle plugged into some Hesh 2 headphones. It cost me about 120 and sounds great, its about three years old now, still rocking the cubicle.
I got my Sony headphones for $25. I got my main phone for $25 (Moto g 1). I got a second phone for $10 (lg lucky). I have an app that lets me control my music phone through Bluetooth from my main phone. it works perfectly fine. total cost: $60. I don't think this should cost $100 (you can buy wireless headphones for the same price).
I'm actually not cheap, I just find cheaper stuff. It's better cuz I have to invest most my money in my gaming setup. I'm gonna make a vid in a few days. I have an iMac (modded), 2 monitors (one on each side), some stuff. You'll see
Yo, Lou. When you going to up the game and give us some 4k video? Here I am with my 4k TV, watching you in 1440p like a chum. Love the channel man, big love. x
+nivlac what makes the sound quality any better? If they have the same Bluetooth standard and power they'll be equal. I'd say the marketing budget and design costs are what make them more expensive than the $20 designed, made and shipped from China
+Sebastian Lakes actually just the little things count like the quality of the chips they use and all the components like how gold plated cables sound better than not
$5 is my guess the production cost because $1 for NFC & $0.5 for 3.5mm Jack, $2 for the battery and if there's a mic then $1 for that as well + $0.5 body. Technology is cheap, they are charging way lot for this $10-$30 piece.
I found at Walmart something like this called HYPE Headphone Bluetooth Adapter for 8 or 9 dlls and it works like a charm. The thing is, it is a female connector or whatever its called but it has a clip tho, so you'd still be having a wire but that audio wire is not connected to your phone. It's less convenient but no static noise at all and remember, it's just 8 or 9 bucks.
U could fix the volume possibly, by just pluging the bluetooth part into a little portable amp and then from the amp into the headphones and just stuff the amp in your shirt or on your lap something like that
Your one of the best youtubers I watch your videos just because. I'm watching this while while wearing Bluetooth headphones that how much I like your videos
why does he only show the most expensive versions of tech like I have the mpow steamboat and it holds more power, its better looking and its also 4.0, but it doesn't have nfc, I love his videos but he only shows the most expensive products
+Shakib -_- Most high end headphones use 2.5mm jacks, the ATH M50x, alot of SHURE headphones, Senheiser you name it (I think beats dont use 2.5 though), they use it.
+Shakib -_- a lot of ATH and Sennheiser cables I have use a 2.5 to connect to the headphones, but not the device. Actually, I think a lot of them do. The device in the video uses a 2.5 plug.
what about the audio quality when using the microphone? can the mic be used without sacrificing audio quality? or does it switch from a2dp to hsp? I have the impression that this would NOT transform a wired "hi-fi" headphone to a decent wireless gaming headset
Lol I know you're joking but you can't call that phone weak when the Pixel cracks on the back within an inch... and it's the same price as the iPhone 7!
Perhaps you can rig a mini amp like a Fiio A1 between the headphones and receiver. Might have to tape it to the headphones but it’s the size of an iPod nano.
I think the only thing that this thing lacks is another "transmitter" unit to work with devices that do not support bluetooth, nfc... etc. So, I guess, the sequence would be: Audio output (that doesn't support wireless)--> "transmitter" unit --(bluetooth)--> the unit in the video --> your choice of wired headphones...
You should do a review about the Bluedio I4 Bluetooth Stereo Headset. It is a great little device. It is cheap and it works for all kind of stuff. I use it daily as a bluetooth converter for my headset. It would be great for ''does it suck''. It's great for helmets, cyclist and motorcyclist. It works for calls and music.
Additionally I have found this: Avantree BTTC-200L-NAB-DB (Pre-Paired Transmitter & Receiver). I think it was about time, i have been trying to do this since 2010.
whats up lew..i was wondering have you found something that can turn my regular wired surround speakers to wireless or something where i dont have to run no wires all over the house?
Nice video. I see you are using this concept with your Bluetooth cellular phone. I want to use this with my standard, non Bluetooth home stereo amplifier. Can I buy a Bluetooth transmitter to plug into my amp to send signals to the Bluetooth receiver in my headphones?
I've been following channel and I've got to say you've got good taste on music. Your background music is on point. It would be awesome if you would add on your description what BG music your playing. Thank you again putting out amazing reviews.
I would be more interested in it as a product to wirelessly connect to stereos through their aux ports. They can drive their speakers with more power, and you can keep your phone on you while playing music through almost any stereo.
I have an Aukey Bluetooth 3.0 battery-powered dongle that I used cable management and a cheap aux cable with to turn my headphones into bluetooth ones with a microphone for $15. It pops on when it gets a signal (hurts my ears because it goes into power save mode after ~30 seconds without audio), but for $15, I can't complain.
i've been using the Scosche MotorMouth BT for a few years now.. same feedback as yours, it could use a little more volume.. but overall, it was a great alternative, i got it for half the price as the Voxoa..
I think it's a cool concept but they should have made it a little bigger in the battery department so it could drive more power. Wired headphones are not optimized for lower power most of the time.

with the price I might as well just buy the wireless version of my headphones
Yep same
Can't do that phone doesn't have a headphone port 😂😂
next time list the price at the beginning of the video so I can click on something else I'd be interested in that has a reasonable price
+ThePokeResort look up sennheiser wireless headphones, or any decent wireless headset.
These things are always expensive.
+Churble Furbles He meant the Voxoa thing which costs $100 or something
+ThePokeResort huh? almost everything on this channel is rather expensive. what's the point of unboxing cheap shit on camera?
something as simplistic as this shouldn't be that expensive.
+ThePokeResort audio stuff are expensive. There are headphone cables that costs way more than this little thing.
Honestly I'm surprised this hasn't been around for a long time...
It has been around for a long time
Sorry I wasn't aware of it until recently
+Ethan Alba that's alright brother

These guys will be bathing in money if Apple doesn't include a headhunter jack on the iPhone 7 XD
Knowing how Apple does things, they will probably find a way to block wireless headphones, unless they have a certain Apple approved code.
+CheekyGoose just another way for them to make moolah (y)
+CheekyGoose They're not gonna block bluetooth.
+Shakib -_- they certify lightning cables bc there is a chip in the iPhone and iPad that can get messed up and make the device not charge on any cable. They're not going to block Bluetooth headphones as they don't put electricity in the phone...
"Headhunter" hardstyle fan, or autocorrect derp?
MKBHD should try this with his M50s
probably won't work. ath m50s have a very specific audio jack so it probably won't accept 3rd parties
+Mario Zammit they have a 2.55mm version that works woth the m50x
Ah sweet ty. Still an adapter that costs almost as much as the headphones themselves? I'll pass for now
+ααяσи I mυияσ so I can use this for my m50x!?
+CharlesDawe also want to know this
Yeah, if you could make this thing less than the cost of headphones themselves, that would be great.
If you had spent years, tethered by a cord to your amplifier, like I have, you'd agree that the freedom this promises is priceless!
😊
Who is jack? I've never seen him.
Jack is classified.... but you can catch a glimpse of him on the titanic film..
jacks the camera man
No one has
+Jonaz Jack is real, here is his instagram: instagram.com/jdmccann85/
Lol
For $100 I will stay with wires
you can get wireless headphones for like 40
+Memo Lopes which are far worse
+Exceed nope, you can get some skullcandy with 48 hours of play, wireless and over 240 hours standby time with a good qmount of volume, for 40
+Exceed or some sony for about 70
+Memo Lopes are they in ear headphones or over ear?
This product makes a lot of sense in a context where slightly upgrading headphones to become wireless would result in the manufacturer raising the cost significantly. For instance, really expensive monitor headphones or balanced listening headphones.
$100 bucks just for an adapter?! I'll pass, thank you very much!
right? I'll suffer with my wires.
+Cejay Krause It'll get you better sound. Not sure how that's suffering....
+Nick P. There are many Different options, personal y I will be going with the Aukey one :)
Godin The Killer no it wont, if anything it'll lose quality. Not much but it won't improve it..
+Cejay Krause +Jeremiah He was replying to "I'll suffer with my wires" By saying that the Wire will give you better sound, and that the better sound from the wire is not suffering.
This is actually pretty sick! :o
Broooooooooooooo ig u weren't that famous at that time 😮🎉😂
I combined a tiny wearable headphone amp and a Bluetooth receiver dongle plugged into some Hesh 2 headphones. It cost me about 120 and sounds great, its about three years old now, still rocking the cubicle.
dude your background music is so dope
although wireless does eliminate the hassle of wires, with $100 I can buy myself a decent dac/amp (ex. Fiio Q1) and get better audio.
+Gilang Wicaksono Depends on what you're after, I guess. Some prefer freedom of mobility to sound quality, some don't mind being "wired".
+Gilang Wicaksono Has a mic, and is $80 on the maker's website.
With this tiny thing you could make any audio wireless: from earphones (using adapter, of course) to speakers! Cool stuff!
shouldn't you be comparing the sound of the headphones with wire and wireless? instead of comparing four different headphones.
He won't because wired vs wireless the wire will always win, it's why wired still exist.
+Daniel Turner well, wires do not cost $100... so wired headphones would still be around
+TackStash779 Neither does a wireless transponder/transducer cost. These are overpriced.
+Daniel Turner and battery life
$100? HELL no. I can live with wires for $100.
these aren't for a cheap.
3165dwayne ya think
+Deacon Malia lmao, you don't buy this for dirt cheap gear lmao.
I'm actually not cheap, I just find cheaper stuff. It's better cuz I have to invest most my money in my gaming setup. I'm gonna make a vid in a few days. I have an iMac (modded), 2 monitors (one on each side), some stuff. You'll see

is it ok to pair two of them to one mobile phone at the same time

No
+Christian Duran Zavala I also want to know ahaha
Darude - Sandstorm
+Christian Duran Zavala Same here!! All the songs are excellent.
Fox Stevenson - Sandblast
Or you could just cut the wire on your normal headphones. Boom wireless headphones for free
lol
I did it, but, where's the sound gone? Plz help.
+Alex Kaminia it's just there, feel it from inside you'll hear it then. 😊
Aditya / AdityaTD Oh, you're right. I hear it. Thanks dude.
+Alex Kaminia no problem. #AdiSenpai
They're smart for doing this before the iPhone 7 comes out.. Since supposedly it's not gonna have an audio jack :/
Did he ever do the iPhone giveaway?
nah he just wants some subs and he will never give you the phone lol
he will never give it to anybody
+Ronit Sajeey I never saw it lol sorry
ever heard of twitter ??
+isaac macias noob..... he gave more than 10 on twitter
+isaac macias wow! Smh shame on you
100 bucks? Okay, I will wait for a smaller, better version that probably costs half of that but thanks for the offer
+Milan Movies It was for half of that ($50), if you caught them during their Kickstarter phase sometime last year (like I did)

Instead buy a 9$ wireless headphone.
For that price, you buy a nice 2.4 ghz headset.
So you can also watch tv,with zero delay.
Bleutooth sucks for that.
always soothing with that intro... a moment for a deep breath
$99.00 usd :( thats over $100 aud for me :( way too expensive for a simple product
Alex Johnson MPOW my friend
Alex Johnson Simple?
99 usd is $160 nzd for me, so i may as well buy a pair of cpsair hs70's
Would this work with Audio Technica's proprietary locking 2.5 mm cables ?
Glad to see they make a 3.5mm version, that would make my Vmoda crossfade lp even better
yo what mic are you using for the video lew
Don't you need a battery in those headphones? If they are wired I don't think they have a battery inside.
the little thing that gives it bluetooth capabilities has a battery that's why its kinda bulky.
you charge them
The battery is in the actual addon thing, you can recharge it easily. He said a couple of times

just by looking at that headphone...I'm inlove with it
that looks soo good!
Looks like a pair of August EP650's but I'm not sure
Jack Brady It's called Alpine and yeah it looks similar
Patrick Star Cool, thanks
You can buy bluetooth adapters that do the same thing for like $20 on Amazon. Why tf would I spend $100 on this one?
Sound quality
+nivlac what makes the sound quality any better? If they have the same Bluetooth standard and power they'll be equal. I'd say the marketing budget and design costs are what make them more expensive than the $20 designed, made and shipped from China

$5 is my guess the production cost because $1 for NFC & $0.5 for 3.5mm Jack, $2 for the battery and if there's a mic then $1 for that as well + $0.5 body. Technology is cheap, they are charging way lot for this $10-$30 piece.

I found at Walmart something like this called HYPE Headphone Bluetooth Adapter for 8 or 9 dlls and it works like a charm. does it work with audio technica?
Yeah
watching in 2020 and this guy saying "USING HIGH QUALITY BLUETOOTH 4.0"

I bought the Tactronics Bluetooth receiver for $15 on Amazon.

would this work with audio technica m50x
this is cool but what about the iPhone 6 will you get to use that on there
ATH m50X seems like a nice target. I wonder how it would sound with those headphones?
I wonder if it would work better with headphones with batteries like the older beats studio...
It can also be plugged into your cars aux to make your radio wireless to your phone :)
The StreamBot Mini from mpow is 17 dollars, sounds very good, and can drive most headphones pretty well.
If I have a 3.5mm adapter, can I plug that in to my cars AUX input?
Sure why not, the bluetooth dousnt know the difference between a car audio and headphones
lew can u share ur music playlist?? they sound elite
does the Bluetooth module also work as a battery for the headphone? because the headphones dont have an internal battery
