Great timing! During Lent, we're going to have Salmon every Friday, at least. Usually cooked on the ol' Weber, but I love the crispy skin from the griddle just as much. I often trade big hunks of my salmon meat for everyone else's skin.
@@TheFlatTopKing I have always removed and discarded the skin from my salmon fillets. Please consider doing a video on how you prepared your salmon skin garnish. I really like salmon but the skins always have gone away. I know the skin is pretty darn tasty, I just don’t know how to cook it! Please help!!!!
I have only used my Blackstone once before for hamburgers. Tried your salmon recipe and it turned out epic! Totally amazing. Only the second time ever using a Blackstone griddle and it was amazing. Thank you so much.
Now you're talking something excellent and good for you too. That was so good of you to share this recipe with us. This is on my want list for sure. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
😂love that you left the little blooper in. I have said this in the Griddle Group on FB many times. Fish is one of my favorite things to cook on the griddle. I love the blackening and it doesn’t stink your house up.
Can never go wrong with fish! Love crappie, northern, and most others I catch on the griddle.. don't fish salmon but now have an idea of how to run that on the griddle.. thanks, man!
Love the clip of the plate blowing away, so realistic on cooking outdoors!! We have high winds here in So. Calif today also. I will have to try this soon. Thanks for the great videos on flat top cooking.
This my first video from this creator and I was enjoying it but I knew we had a winner when he pulled the infrared thermometer out. Such an important life hack for cooking on a griddle or cast iron.
Matt's Show Notes: 1. Salmon any way is great. 2. I need to start using 'blackening' rubs again. 3. Those vegetables look perfect! 4. You can drizzle garlic butter on anything, and it'll taste better. 5. Beautifully done!
No joke....salmon is my favorite food to cook on the Blackstone. I love getting that good sear on top with butter! A little oil on the skin side before flipping is a good idea, I need to do that. Great video!! Well, except for the crooked hat, lol.
Remarkable Neal! I’ve been trying Salmon for months and keep putting it off, definitely trying this now with help from your cook! Thanks for posting. Cheers 🍻

There are few limits with what we cook now, the food has been delicious when you find and follow all these type of recipes, and I've had so much more fun cooking. Totally recommend, or hope, you made that decision. Happy cooking!
Awesome cook! Now put a whole one in the smoker at 325 to 350 on soaked cedar planks for about 45 minutes. My mother-in-law was never fan of salmon till she had it on the smoker.

Looks great! Ever since I tried Steelhead Trout several years I have not bought Salmon again. Very similar but the Steelhead trout is better tasting. Give it a shot. They have it at Kroger same price as Salmon. Go Vols!
I’m going to share this with my husband, he’s been wanting to make salmon and i told him as long as he does it outside I’m ok with it. Like your youngest, I’m the one in our household who sticks her tongue out at seafood. 😅
I've been doing my salmon in the air fryer of late, and I love the crispy, chip-like skin it gets. I'll have to try it on the griddle next time. A lot of people, I think, don't eat the skin, but I believe that is because they havent gotten it crispy. When salmon skin gets crispy, it's like unlocking a bonus level.
Way too much butter though. I bet it taste great, but butter isn’t the best for you either. I’ll try the recipe myself because it does look great, but definitely less butter.
My first thoughts were good video to do with Lent starting as some people do not eat meat on Fridays. Then I am watching the video and ya'll are talking about how windy it is. I am like what wind, then the plate moves and I am like ok. Then the plate goes flying and I start laughing. I think the vegetables I would have put a little Soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce on them for the heck of it. The salmon looked great. My wife tries to incorporate it into our meals sometimes. I will eat it, but the whole time I am thinking about that smash burger and fries, shrimp poboy, 4 meat pizza, or maybe that taco bell crunchy wrap, well you get the picture. It's kinda like the place you want to visit, but by all means you do not want to live there. Great Video!
this was super, we love salmon, the technique of the spices, the added spices, cinnamon, never would have thought of that. Like the use of Griddlin China, ours flies off two. How hot would you say the spot is where the veggies were and about what ballpark total time did they end up staying there? They look perfect as usual haha. Does cooking fish on the griddle make it harder to clean afterwards? I know cooking fish in a smoker, or closed lid grill, it creates a lot of fishy carryover smell unless you clean it off well (this includes the grates). Do you need to do any extra cleaning when you cook fish on the griddle?
