I just thought of something that might help to remember which chords are minor or major when just looking at them. When you look at the note spaces, the space between the notes on a major chord is larger at the bottom than the space between the notes on a minor chord. So, to put it more simply, if the space between the bottom notes is major then it's a major chord and if the space between is minor it's .... well you get it lol Also, thank you for sharing these tips with us. Free content like this is super helpful stuff
Using this technique for sometime, simple and effective. Every time I am short of ideas, i go for chords and then make melody with these ARP techniques.
Just a note for those who might be running into BlueARP issues like me connecting 3rd party VST to BlueARP. If you follow the same steps and notice it doesn't automatically move the notes, just open bluearp piano roll and check any note to see if the sound comes through if it does you're set. Cut/copy and paste the notes from your tool (mine was also Nexus 3) into BlueARP. And you should be able to proceed fine from there. I have vocals from a friend and trying to create a melody around it but I find it so difficult because the lyrics are more on the "sad" side. Can't quite figure out a sound not just a melody but the actual sound that would suit the vocals. blehhhh....BUT....this video helps point me in the right direction to get started.
I thought that this is actually kinda same than in game developing u can make a game as a total noob at making game without understanding anything about coding rly.. i tried that and learnt a little coding.. i mean, everything is almost ready and it works, but u still cant make the game/melody unique as u see/hear it in your head.. i quitted making games after few months, music is easier because i can hear what works and how i can make it as i want.. I do think that without that "musical talent" u can make sick bangers but maybe they might miss a story and emotions then.. idk...
Hey Arcade..first, I always learn something from your videos, So thanks for that. Second, I'm trying to figure out how I can use sample pack loop instruments to write my own music, instead of using their loops, I just want to use their instruments. Hope that makes sense. Hope you could help. Peace
Hey arcade I have request to you Can you make tutorial for mixing and mastering like Martin Garrix, I have searched in internet but most of the tutorials only showing pop genre music mixing but I need EDMs and progressive house tutorials Martin Garrix makes his track loud like crazy but still it sounds great Hope you will accept my request And explain my question about loudness 🙏🙏
Watch youtube videos on how to structure and make different types of melody, well, watch music theory, search for everything. Don't let youtube videos that say "don't do this, do this instead" control you. It all depends on how they want the song and also if it is necessary. Use your creativity and create quality music. good luck to everyone.

Or you count up 3 from bottom of the chord and then count up 4 from the second note for major or opposite for minor

Blue Arp looks fun.
Love the 8-bit/chiptune sound on this.
Finished result sounds like a cross between Tokyo Machine and SMLE.

Hot take: I think that producers should actually know music theory, at least the basics.
Honestly as someone who doesn't fully grasp the basics of music theory, yeah.
Must know basic music theory*
Even though you're wrong, I respect your opinion.

Roy B. From: San Antonio, Texas
Man! If you lived in San Antonio, Texas! I Could Of Make A Hit For The Radio ...
What bass VST is he using in the intro?
I don't use FL studios, but rather Cakewalk by Bandlab (for a little while now, still a novice) but it seems a lot of this would apply to any DAW?
Yes
how do you use cakewalk without it crashing?
@@ambs9564 I've never had it crash on me.
Thanks 🔥🔥🔥
What are the intervals of c major and minor's
Vst3 isn't working in patcher in fl20, but vst2 works good.

CAN YOU MAKE STEVIE B OR TIMMY T TYPE BEATs
A minor chord is 4 semitones and then 3 semitones not 2
I am not talking about semitones though. 🤔 Instead I talk about how many "keys" or spaces you skip on the grid in FL's piano roll 👌
@@ArcadeFL oh I get it
最近ずっと同じことやってる

Is everything good over there in Ukraine?
Ты русский?
Music production didn't have rules, in my opinion if you make melodies by your own and it's sounding good then just work on it 😂😂
😥 why do so many people want to make money from music when they cannot even compose simple chords. Go read a book. 💀
