Since you like yogurt, there's a site called Budget Bytes that shows you how to make it in the crockpot and once you get the recipe down, the yogurt is sooooo good and cheap. I would love to see you do the recipe on your channel. We use a 1/2 cup dry milk in the recipe to make it thicker. keep up the good work. People are flocking to your channel b/c of what you bring. Never change.
Adding my vote for this one also. Setting my crock pot up and grabbing my jars and condensed milk! You go girl! Oh... will be looking for a cookbook from you in the future.. just sayin.
My parents have always put a can of sweetened condensed milk without the label in a crockpot overnight and made caramel to make turtles for the holidays. Never thought of making jars to have on hand. Thanks, Brooke! xoxo
This is how I do it as well. Plus since it's already canned you're good to go with keeping it for as long as needed assuming you don't open it. The only real downside is its bigger, so you need to eat more at once or at least over the next few days. Also, if you forget to label it when done you just then need to remember what the "can with no label" is. And if you happen to forget what it is, you get a pretty awesome surprise you finally check it.
How in this world have I lived this long & I never heard of this Magically Delicious - super simple - I can do do this!! I bow down to you Brooke!! Thank you!! & I'm thinking 🤔 won't these make marvelous items in Holiday Gift baskets!!!
Oh my word!!! I didn’t thank it would be so easy. I know what I’m doing for my wounderful neighbors for part of there Christmas gifts this year with apples . Thank you so much.😀
My mom taught me to boil the can of sweetened condensed milk but I never thought to put it into jars. Great idea and so easy. No need to worry about the pan boiling dry using the crockpot.
So very happy you shared this! That does look super easy. As soon as I can get my hands on some Mason jars this will be the very first canning thing I do! Thanks for being you and sharing amazing awesome ideas with us all on a budget!
God I love you! You are such an inspiration! I keep watching your canning videos. ALL of your videos really. And as soon as I can catch my breath, I'm gonna do it. P.S. I would like to add, that I always wash the tops of cans before opening them. My mother taught me that. If you don't know why...get a alcohol pad/wipe and wipe it. You will see why! lol But i just run them under water real quick. I'm not like a nutjob or something, 🙄 sterilizing everything in my house!😃🤣 xo🏵🌹
I just put the whole unopened can in for the same amount of time…let it cool down and write on the label that it’s caramel…it keeps forever, although it somehow never last that long🤣
Thank you so much. I think I can shoehorn some space in my tiny apartment that doesn’t have ANY storage for 6 4 ounce mason jars. Maybe what I’ll do is not buy canned beans and instead just cook dried beans when I need them and that’ll give me the space in my cupboard for caramel dip! 😁❤️ Oh and after watching your canning videos I trust what you say to do and not do more than I trust the FDA. Just sayin’. And you always look great. Wanted to add that too.
I finally got brave enough to pressure can meats. I've only ever done high acid water bath. I worry about killing off my family. Why does the usda not advise canning Carmel looks delicious
they dont recommend canning any milk products.. the risk for Botulism (a bacteria that can grow in air-tight containers but is killed by very high temperatures) is real.... If you do this at least they are small enough to keep in the fridge, as opposed to sitting on a shelf
So I have seen a lot of people using the sweetened condensed milk to make canned caramel sauce. How would suggest canning caramel sauce made from scratch with sugar, heavy cream, and butter? Would you pressure can it and for how long?
I have come across a couple of commercial bags of Ghirardelli caramel sauce. I've was told that this can be canned for longer preservation. All that I see on videos is the making and then canning/waterbathing of homemade caramel sauce. Can I can the ghirardelli caramel sauce? What is the process for this. Thank you.
The reason I’ve ever done anything like this is I don’t know one thing can you reuse the jars lids in the Rams or do you have to buy new rings and lids
New subscriber here ‘cause you’re cute, bubbly, and full of the knowledge I am seeking! How long of a shelf life is the caramel? thanks, looking forward to binge watching some of your videos
Just a word of warning, be careful using your crock pot when it’s sitting right in the seam in your countertop. I did that one day and the heat made the countertop bubble up and warp at the seam.
I do hope that you can answer my question... I used this recipe and after they been on the shelf for a month. I open one up and it had crystals bits in the caramel . What Happened?
That is awesome I'm 60 and can not believe the things you have taught me. You Rock Sister!
Agreed!!!
Same! I'm 58!

Ohhhhh I would love to see that also
OK adding my vote for this one too! Plus yoghurt is healthy and so that will totally offset the caramel dip and the hot fudge sauce!

Do they cover it with water or just put the can without the label in the crockpot?
@@nylenyap3933 they covered it in water. Have a great day!🥰

I use this as the sugar and the cream in my coffee ☕
😍 That must be fantastic!
You can do that really 😃
What! Does it melt right in?
Oh delicious 😋

I pack an apple and caramel Together for gifts!
darling i love that you clarify its a rebel recipe! every kitchen can decide for itself❤
Oh my word!!! I didn’t thank it would be so easy. I know what I’m doing for my wounderful neighbors for part of there Christmas gifts this year with apples . Thank you so much.😀
Yes! Christmas gifts for sure!
This is a great way to do it! I don't use a lot of caramel, so 4 oz jars make sense to me, rather than boiling up a full can unopened. Thanks, Brooke!
My mom taught me to boil the can of sweetened condensed milk but I never thought to put it into jars. Great idea and so easy. No need to worry about the pan boiling dry using the crockpot.
Omgoodness yummy THANK YOU dear ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You’re awesome. Thank you for being you and for being real!!

Thank you for this video.
So very happy you shared this! That does look super easy. As soon as I can get my hands on some Mason jars this will be the very first canning thing I do! Thanks for being you and sharing amazing awesome ideas with us all on a budget!
Well done again my friend. As always watching from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Yummy for my tummy!!!😁
I need to try this in my electric roaster, since I'd be eating it on a lot more than ice cream. I've done the fudge sauce the same way.
This looks so awesome. Can't wait to do this!!! Thank you!!!
I need a sample plz looks yummy
Haha! I was thinking the same thing! What a wonderful gift!
Thank you Brooke!
Girl I’m loving all that Pioneer Woman stuff in your kitchen. Mine is full of PW too. Just beautiful! Great video.
Wow I never thought I would be thinking of canning anything! But this.....omg how can I NOT try this! Thank you!!
🙌🏼🙌🏼 thank you!
I have never canned anything before...I'm all over this!!
❤❤❤ your adorable thanks for the recipe
Wow I can't wait to make some. 😍
Love this...
YUM. Thanks for sharing! A Mennonite acquaintance told me she cans a few things in her crockpot, too. Interesting!
That just blows my mind. So cool.
Wow, I will absolutely make this and some extras as gifts. Thank you for the recipe
So awesome

Yummmmy
definitely doing this!
Going to do this today. Thanks !!
Hey Brooke! Been binge watching you for about a week, once I found your channel. This is an amazing idea, thanks! ❤❤❤❤❤
I just got done making this, and it is so YUMMY! So simple to make.
Making some of this on this lazy Christmas Day. Hahaha
It gets so hot in Australia that we accidentally make this in the can in the pantry! Most houses don't have central air 😭
Holy cow 😂 that’s crazy! At least you get a sweet treat I guess 😂
Omgosh who wouldn't have known?!? I'm Def gonna try this!! Thank you!
Thank you for posting this!
I never knew canning could be so easy! I’m going to get me some jars and do this. You’re awesome, Brooke! Thank you 😁
That’s it wow I’m so doing this
I’m going to do this this weekend, I hope! This is just like the Dulce de Leche I got in Argentina. It’s the best stuff!
Thank you excellent timing for this video I'm looking for make at home recipes to give as Christmas gifts!
That's seems easy I'm so trying this thanks 👍👍🥰 loving this one for sure 💞😊
I just put the whole unopened can in for the same amount of time…let it cool down and write on the label that it’s caramel…it keeps forever, although it somehow never last that long🤣
Thanks for sharing. I am going to be trying this over the weekend.
Thank You so much. I'm going to make me some. That would also be good for gift giving at Christmas. Thanks again ❤️❤️
That was cool 😀
Definitely going to try this!!! Thank you!
Great recipe can you make and can fudge sauce 😋😊
Adding my vote for fudge sauce! 😁❤️👏
I’ve never canned anything. I need to try this!!
Wow!!!
So good!
In Mexico, they call that cajeta. Delicious!

I just finished canning these. Should be done by after I get back from my “4 hr shift’”lol.” But I will be glad to taste test tomorrow morning 🤤
Could I use the crock pot for canning cranberry sauce, if so for how long?
I have several bags of Werthers caramels. Can these be melted down and sealed in canning jars?
I finally got brave enough to pressure can meats. I've only ever done high acid water bath. I worry about killing off my family. Why does the usda not advise canning Carmel looks delicious
they dont recommend canning any milk products.. the risk for Botulism (a bacteria that can grow in air-tight containers but is killed by very high temperatures) is real.... If you do this at least they are small enough to keep in the fridge, as opposed to sitting on a shelf
I've got so more jarsbut I'm making this
Question i didnt hear is the crockpot on high ?
Yes
Thank you for showing this! Did you cook on high setting?
Yes!
Thanks that was my question
Could you do this in 8oz jars? That's what I have so trying to use what I have!
You can as long as your water level is 1-2 inches over the top.
Can you put salt I. It to make it salted caramel?
So I have seen a lot of people using the sweetened condensed milk to make canned caramel sauce. How would suggest canning caramel sauce made from scratch with sugar, heavy cream, and butter? Would you pressure can it and for how long?

Hi love your channel...can you make it on the stove in a regular pot?
Did you boil your seals first?
ok i just found this!! So y question for you is do you have a canning play list? I love the rebel canning things i would not even think of!
The reason I’ve ever done anything like this is I don’t know one thing can you reuse the jars lids in the Rams or do you have to buy new rings and lids
You have to get new flat lids each time, but you can reuse the rings and jars infinitely.
Holy smokes! You serious!? Thanks for the warning, I never thought of that 😳
I don’t have a crock pot, but I have an instant pot. Would this work on slow cook in the IP?
I’ve oddly never used my instant pot on the slow cooker setting. I just realized that lol if you don’t lock the lid, I think you might be able to.
I do hope that you can answer my question... I used this recipe and after they been on the shelf for a month. I open one up and it had crystals bits in the caramel . What Happened?
Maybe I missed it but did you say to set your crock pot to low medium or high?
I wondered about that too - my zoomed in screenshot says high 😊
preheat on high. I said it after I realized I hadn’t plugged it in 😂 so it was distracting.
How is this on ice cream?
Amazing!! It’s really good over warm apple
Pie too!
Do you just keep yours in the pantry? I'm making mine today.
Is the crockpot on high
Yes I said on high when I was making fun of myself for not plugging it in 😂 I probably said it too fast. Sorry!
@@SouthernFrugalMomma hey girlfriend thanks. SMILES
first 😀
Girl this is amazing! How long does it last....for a year? Asking for a friend because I know mine will not last that long😂
😂 18 months minimum, even longer if the seal is good.
I don’t have a fancy programmable crock pot but I believe I can do this. 🥹
You sure can!
