This is what the series needed, fans always want more flavor in the world and they're dropping gourmet dishes in these episodes! Basically canonizing the fandom and our passions is incredibly touching
Marineford from a normie's perspective was actually crazy. We don't notice as the audience because we're watching from Luffy's perspective, but the amount of power and destruction there was crazy. I really hope the Wit remake utilizes this perspective a lot more because it excellently grounds the viewer in the insanity that's going on, otherwise its a little hard to gague how strong Luffy and the crew are.
This episode was genuinely amazing by far the best anime only one piece media, way better than any one piece movie ever made! On a side note all the side stories took place in return to sabaody(Except for the flashbacks) unlike the novels which were all over the place and the reason she didn't notice Usopp was because he didn't have a bounty at that point and a million other details I loved like the cp agents kidnapping fake chopper and fake robin was hilarious
Yep! I think they managed to squeeze in the right stories here! Kinda sad we didn't get the Usopp one but they def did him justice with his small scene!

Seeing the perspective of the marines at Marineford was chilling, the story & execution was perfect, truly captured the feeling the Star Hats inspire so well.
She possibly saved the strawhats from loosing their ship, they said they had a weapon to destroy it but, because of the fan letter girl taking the letter, she in fact gave the strawhats enough time to set sail. They got out of range by the time they noticed he had the code the whole time. Before they could use the code for the weapon. I wonder what kind of weapon it was? I hope nami meets her fan one day :)
I was super depressed hearing about a 6 month break. Not gonna lie. But this fan letter episode tore me to shreds. The animation style was insane, the perspective of the regular marine in the world, as a regular person in the world- man everything was just fantastic. I felt like I was watching a Disney movie
I really would wish that REMAKE would have this same artstyle because it's so vibrant and that's the best artstyle for OP imo it shows the wonderful and colourful adventures...and a hope
Power-ups are fun but I still hope that the Weakling Trio stays the Weakling Trio at heart because not all heroes have to be powerhouses, just like Nami with this girl.

I think you're confusing Wit Studios (did the earlier seasons of AOT) with Mappa. Mappa did the cheaper AOT final season you're talking about and Wit Studios is doing the OP remake. But I agree, Toei rocks lately
