I've had my Giulia Veloce here in the US for nearly four years (2018) and it's been nothing but pure bliss. Zero issues. It's an incredible car and very well-built. If you're buying a car for it's window switches, stick to public transit lol.

Couldn't agree more. My Veloce is also from 2018 and it puts a smile on my face everytime I get to the wheel. Got exactly the same configuration as shown in the video by the way (body colour, calipers and wheels, simply gorgeous). Greetings to everybody from good old Belgium

I absolutely agree. I'm sure you will have all the fun in the world. I got mine in 2018, 75000 km, no issues whatsoever, I almost forgot where I bought it... ;-) Mine is exactly that show in the video (but with a light brown interior, very classy). I have owned my Giulia Veloce for a mere 3 months but can honestly say I don't experience the wind noise, in fact its been noticeably quieter than my previous VW Arteon and rides like you said better than I was expecting. Perhaps you need to get your dealer to check the seals or maybe I have just been lucky?. I agree on the unlock/lock beep which at 5am makes me cringe as I head to work....I'd love to know if it can be turned off. So far though I've been pleased with the car which was a gamble moving away from my previous German cars but no regrets at present and I like how few you see which makes it feel a touch special for something that was in my budget. I look forward to more of your reviews.

I've had this noise. There was a sligth clearance (1-2mm) between the 2 rubber sealing of the window (at the confluence of the lower horizontal one, and the upper one). It is located at the angle of the window which is close to the external mirror. I've put a small rubber part to avoir this clearance. It had worked, no more wind noise. Air was probably circulating in this clearance. So probably some Giulia suffers some ajustement problem.

I love mine, best car I’ve ever had. The alarm noise is a pain with an early morning starts for sure though. You cannot disable it apparently. You could on the Giulietta I think. Yet in Belgium for example it is disabled due to noise pollution regulations. It’s from the same parts bin as Ferrari as my mates 458 Spyder makes the identical irritating noise too. I wonder if Maserati’s do it?

Alfa sticks to what it knows, and that is looks, handling/ride and that bit of exclusivity that you simply won’t get with the German marques.

I am the lucky owner of a Giulia Veloce Q2 for a month, following a Giulia Lusso 200 TB since End 2016. I don't agree with the wind noise (none of the 2) but fully agree with the good marks on comfort, handling and engine (which could however be more 'demonstrative', especially in dynamic mode). The workaround for auto dipping wing mirrors is smart, I did this in my previous Giulia as well. I don't understand the point concerning the hill holder, which works very well in my car. There are very few missing equipments, (head up display?) and this car is a delight to drive, for short trips or long journeys, I am sure it will over the years become a collector.

Exteriorwise exactly my car (brown leather instead and with the Performance pack, the one-button softening of the suspension definitely adds to the confort on wobbly roads). Completely in love with it since 2018 (75000 km without a single issue by the way, I hardly remember where I bought it... :-D ). Ugely underrated car, which is really a shame for everyone having worked on the design and develpment of this masterpiece honestly. I’ve got a 19 Giulia Ti Lusso and the wind noise doesn’t bother me unless I’m driving without music or a podcast on which is usually on 99% of the time.
I am jealous of the console fit and finish and infotainment upgrades from the 2020+ refresh but I’m also happy that I have one of the handful or rare Monza Red Ti Lusso Giulias with the Light Walnut Wood Interior, Crema interior, Yellow calipers, and Active Suspension features all of which are no longer offered on newer Giulias.

Same as others said - not only that I think it’s exceptionally quiet as far as wind noise but it’s far better than 3series I had regretfully prior to owning mine 2019 Veloce. I feel a lot of it comes from the mirrors and Guilia has really well design while Beamer has bigger boxier side mirrors. Maybe you do have some issues with the seals. My only complaint is actually lack of compliance over bad roads that we have here in the northeast US .. and I do have the active suspension which I ride mostly in soft mode.

…right on with the wind, although my concerto starts way above 80mph. The rear mirror dip is a feature not a bug in my opinion. I found it annoying on my BMs that reverse was auto down! I didn't like the unlocking sound till I needed to lock the doors at the gas station near the highway. And when it's noisy, and you want to make sure that you've locked the cars properly, because you may miss the light blinking, this annoying sound does help to understand if it worked. Cost nearly 800 quid to replace the two ECUs. New headlight units would have cost double that. I understand that you can tune this car to produce quite a bit more power but I'm sure I don't need it on the road. Alfa are known for driving dynamics and that's what this car does so, so well.

@@stevenwalk8564 On dyno at two shops, my particular 2019 TI Sport registered between 300 and 305 HP and 311 foot lb. of torque. Exceeding manufacturer claim of 280. The Gulia is much lighter then my previous BMW 335IX which had 335hp inline 6 with two stage turbochargers. Yet Gulia is quicker, lighter, and more responsive then 335IX ever was. I will stick to my guns and delare that Veloce and TI trims need an Alfa V6 or factory tuned current I4 to up game to 335-350 hp.
What Alfa I4 lacks is SOUND. It sounds weak, until it is in 5-5.5K power band. THey need to tune exaust note before shipping. I lease, so I cannot mod the car. If Guilia Veloce can sound like 4C , that would be awesome. Infotainment is clearly superior in BMW then in Alfa, which shares its infotainment with Maserati, Ferrari, Fiat, and Chrysler. Its sucks in all those marks. It is always one or two blocks behind me in city, and has insufficient zoom out. Bluetooth is iffy. In BMW and Porsche, infotainment satnav is just phenomenal. But that is of little importance to me. I'd still take Alfa over BMW 3 series 6 days a week and twice on Sunday.

Great review, real experience shared. Agree with most, except the wind noise - which I don't get at all - and the ride quality. Mine is a MY20 Veloce on 19"petal alloys and Pirelli runflats. The suspension is great on bigger bumps but never really settles on small road imperfections, not even on motorway. I hear it's mostly down to the runflats but I assume the test car must have the same. Actually one more negative, the brake-by-wire system, very difficult to stop gently even after a year's ownership

I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage.
