    We have to understand that agnosticism and theism are different things. Agnostic has it's opposite form, Gnosticism, which is to firmly believe something. So we should always use them hand-in-hand instead of separating the two terms. We can't say that someone's just agnostic, instead put if they're theist or not. In terms of belief we can use 4 terms to depict someone.
    Gnostic Theist- Which is what we usually call the Christians and Catholics. People who are firm believers and you can't prove things to be different than their own belief. "I believe in God and you can't tell me otherwise."
    Agnostic Theist- This is somehow how Mx. George presents himself, he believes that a higher being exist yet he still seeks that evidence that it is worthy to be worshipped. Can also be someone who thinks they can be stood corrected. "I believe in God but I can be wrong."
    Agnostic Atheist- Mx. Diza with the way she speaks on this video somehow exhibits this belief. Yes she believes that no higher being exists, though she can be stood corrected if presented evidence. "I don't believe in God but I can be wrong."
    Gnostic Atheist- People who firmly disagrees on the existence of a higher being and is not open to corrections even if presented with evidence. "I don't believe in God and you can't tell me otherwise."
    It is fine to disregard the Agnostic/Gnostic and classify yourself as simply A/Theist. But you can't say someone's agnostic without saying if they're A/Theist unless you specify that you truly do not lean on any of the two.

      For this video, yes. You're right. But I wouldn't go right away to classify Diza in anything else other than what she, herself, classified as. Let's just respect that. But it would be more correct to say that she appears or seems or sounds more like (in this case) an agnostic atheist.
      Though, there's this another facet to consider about so-called “true agnostics” that doesn't lean either to theism or atheism while being agnostic. But George here, I don't think he seems to be a “true agnostic” anyway, as per his statements.

      @@cjbaynas Yeah I may have used the wrong determiners here, I'll edit this immediately thanks for telling me. Also I have not wandered true agnosticism but I feel like it should be a very hard stand to exhibit but I will continue to study on it, thanks again :).
      Though I feel like it may not be a disrespect to Mx. Diza as she herself considers herself as an atheist and did not specify if she's gnostic or not. So I just based it on how she expressed herself and put the agnostic part which I think she has not explored yet. But if that in any way makes you think I disrespected her please educate me how, I am willing to listen.

    I am the Catholic in this video.
    I might be breaching my NDA here, but as far as I'm concerned this is just a comment. I've been getting accusations that I'm not being "faithful" enough or being "Catholic" based on what's shown in this video. Not just on this comments section, but both in and outside of my circle.
    First of all, the entire footage of this, uncut, is around 60-80 minutes. They had to cut this down in editing, to make it digestible, more coherent. They picked the more interesting, more engaging and more cohesive parts of our discussion as to make it accessible to everyone, not just one audience or party. There's also the problem of the algorithm flagging possibly controversial topics. All of this is fine. I'm okay with this.
    What I'm not okay is with the accusations, from fellow Catholics and peers especially.
    The full extent of our discussion touched upon issues like abortion, questions like gay marriage, my stance on it despite being Catholic, lapsed and nominal Catholics, the importance (and neglect) of the Catechism, how, despite my personal agency and my own issues with the stance of the Catholic Church, I still believe and align myself to its dogma. I touched upon Kant's argument from morality. I cited the words of G.K. Chesterton, brought up St. Thomas Aquinas, even touched upon Carl Jung and synchronicity to put it in a secular context. I talked about, however brief it was, my gripes about Vatican II. I talked about how nominal of a character Christ is, operating off of Tom Holland's (historian, not the actor) quote about modern morality and society being shaped positively by the presence of Christianity, contrasted by the depictions in classical myth and antiquity. I think I mentioned venerable Fulton Sheen as well. There's a lot to cover, and I cannot recall each and everything. The only respite and testament I can give you regarding all this is if ReCreate releases the entire footage, or a follow-up to this video with that footage, at least some. Either way, what they do with the footage or their content is fine, and up to their discretion. Again, I emphasize more on the reactions of peers on my end of the spectrum.
    That said, I hate how people are attacking me for my struggles and doubts about my faith, as if one is allowed to not have such a thing. As if figures like Mother Teresa and Saint Faustina, did not go through times of spiritual dryness and feelings of abandonment, which is what I'm struggling through right now. It's disheartening, and though I continue to explore my faith to try and be a better believer, instances like this are the reason more people leave the Church - for showing vulnerability. Religious trauma is real, and with the way we conduct ourselves sometimes, we perpetuate this phenomenon instead of ecumenism, understanding, or conversion.

    • @aridolores
      @aridolores 2 ปีที่แล้ว +66

      This is why non-believers have this presumption that firm believers are hypocritical (and one of the reasons why I chose to turn away from my religion), just to point it out. I'm not one to say but your comment translates your frustration and I cannot imagine how it is intensified lalo na at yung mga close pa sayo ang nagsasabi sayo nito. I commend you for keeping and believing in your faith even in times of doubt and question. I hope you find your enlightenment one day, but for now, you do you, so focus on yourself. If there's one thing I've learned in and out of the religion, it's that our relationship with God is somehow like any other. There're ups and downs, and we have the choice on how to go through it. No one can define better the relationship with God than yourself, so I hope you get through this and find your answers soon.

    as an agnostic, I believe that nothing is known or can be known about the existence of higher beings; it is simply beyond our comprehension. hence, I do not subscribe to any religion and do not worship any gods (except on my birth certificate), but I am not opposed to changing my mind if evidence is presented to me. regardless, I agree with the atheist girl that people are indeed complicated. we are born and raised in different ways, and I believe it all boils down to respecting that context. it's fine to believe in what you believe in, but don't expect others to share your convictions. you do you. I genuinely believe there is nothing to be concerned about as long as the individual is not causing harm to anyone.

      @@kleind4670 hi!! I think you just handed me an analogy for how my agnosticism works. I'm assuming that 10 billion of yours represents the higher being, and in my opinion, it is not reasonable for me to believe that you have that much money on your account if I haven't seen any evidence of its veracity. at the same time, I am unable to completely debunk that notion because, I, too, lack sufficient evidence to refute its truthfulness. I hope I'm making sense.

      @@cindyloumacahilos5531 If you do not have the knowledge about the truthfulness of the claim (existence of a deity), I think that it is absurd to believe in its existence. The lack of knowledge about the existence of a deity is agnosticism, and the lack of belief is atheism. Knowledge and belief aren't the synonym of each other, yet knowledge, or the lack of it can help us to decide if a claim is convincing or not.

    • @kleind4670
      @kleind4670 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What made you believe that the existence of a higher being is unknowable? What if we could comprehend them in the future? This statement contradicts your stance that you need the evidence first before forming a belief.

    • @cindyloumacahilos5531
      @cindyloumacahilos5531 2 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      @@kleind4670 I stand corrected on the first part of your argument because I, too, find it absurd to believe in the existence of something if you don't know whether or not the claim is true in the first place. however, I see flaws in what you're attempting to argue. I disagree with how you define and differentiate agnosticism and atheism because, as far as I know, agnosticism is the belief that higher beings are unknown and that humans are incapable of providing sufficient rational grounds to justify their belief in their existence, whereas atheism is not a lack of belief but rather an absence of it.
      I find it offensive that you define those beliefs in such a derogatory way. I'm sorry to bring it up to you, sir, but agnostics are not oblivious to this matter; in fact, some of us have long been waiting for pieces of evidence to see what believers are attempting to prove. The same is true for atheists; their stance does not imply a lack of belief; rather, they have a strong conviction in their rejection of the belief. Please be mindful of your words.
      As far as I can tell, you're claiming the existence of a deity and accepting it as fact, justifying that we, nonbelievers, simply lack either knowledge or belief.
      Also, in response to your question, what made me believe that a higher being is unknowable and what if we can comprehend it in the future? The answer is simply because there is no sufficient reason to justify their existence or even their ability to be comprehended to this day. Thus, my stand remains.

    Re last question: “What makes you think there is no higher power?”
    Personally, as an atheist, I consider religious belief as a social need. Meaning, if I think that this concept of higher being and religion does not apply to me and does not in anyway have an effect on how I see hopefulness or how I navigate life or how I develop as a person and how I deal with other folks, I would not bother myself thinking if there is really a higher power. For me, it’s not a question of “is there really a concrete evidence or not?”. Believe what you wanna believe, esp if it would help you go thru life.
    I was once a Catholic. Had some disappointments. I have encountered the term - Agnostic - I tagged myself that. Then, I asked myself, “What’s the point wondering if there’s a higher power or not”. Came to some reflections that: people are capable to do good even without religion or god, I don’t think any divine intervention would in anyway affect how I deal with my life. Hence, I decided to be an atheist.

      The problem with your thinking though is that you, I assume did not experience other religions like Hinduism, Islam, and many others. You are generalizing how yoh perceive religion based on what you experienced from your once Christian/Catholic faith. Also your disbelief in subjective. Matters like these should be attended objectively. You don't just disbelieve in a higher power just because "you feel like it". There's bigger things beyond our selves.

    • @JohnWeasley394
      @JohnWeasley394 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@kiloocal8763 How can you attend on these matters objectively? TBH, I tried that approach. That’s why I came from a mindset of: “Does it exist or not?”. And it led me to just discrediting the good experiences of others in their religion.
      Now here you are claiming that we should be objective yet you’re narrative is just a facade. If you think that we should be objective, you should have included: 1) Evidence that there is a higher being; 2) Which higher being claimed by the different religions is the true one?; 3) What are your supports to question 2? But the problem is that if we’re gonna discuss it that way, diverse narratives would then come in and the conversation would goi in circle. Now tell me more abt your concept of objectivity within this context.
      I say: I am for “understanding” - you do you. I am not for shoving what you believe in to other folks (esp to those that are different to yours).

      You seem to confuse a theory with a scientific theory.
      "theory" means something very different in lay language than it does in science: A scientific theory is an explanation of some aspect of the natural world that has been substantiated through repeated experiments or testing.
      Like evolution. Religious people like to claim that it is "just a theory" because of the name evolutionary theory. But will gladly accept gravitational theory, even though we have more evidence for the former.
      So we dont "only have our theories.", we have actual testable and provable facts :P

But part of me still believes that there is God but my faith is more of personal than institutional. My faith is like Pi, in the movie Life of Pi, I influenced myself in the values of different religions.
    Honestly, I refer to God as God only, but I do not dedicate myself to any saints or any rediculous and outdated rules some religions imply. Sometimes, I see religion more of a tradition specially in a religous country like Philippines.
    I do not intend to bash on religions because without it morality wouldn't be as important as it is today. I'm just saying that being agnostic isn't something to be afraid or ashamed of.

Also, science is very respected in Catholic Church, many scientists of history were clerics. Even big bang theory that most know today was created by a catholic priest.

    Been a Catholic my entire life, became an altar boy and a choir member but the teachings I have been learning inside the dogma is just too dense, or should I put it opaque. We have common sense and I highly agree with both atheist and agnostic that true believers are hypocritical. I grew up being named as an outcast, a deviant. As an agnostic, we do believe in a higher being but just focuses on what is NOW, the present.
    I (agnostic) started when I understand more about people, I studied psychology and practices my knowledge since then. I don't debunk people with their beliefs as long as they don't step on my own beliefs and principles.
    For Catholics, most people don't find comfort in praying 😊 and when you tell, "Magdasal ka lang" or "Iasa mo yan sa panginoon" is invalidating ones feelings.
    For Atheist, not that I agree that there's no God. There might be something or someone responsible for our existence.

    When I was an atheist, I became conceited. There was nothing to humble me. Then one day I realized I was worshipping myself. And that's when I decided to try to bring back my faith. It was not easy because I believe in science more.
    One day, I asked myself how was time created. Then I had a revelation. It must be a being not bound by time, energy, or space. That being is living in a different dimension, that's why we can't see him.

    I think that agnostic and atheist are in a different categories, so basically there are 2 categories when it comes to labeling yourself so the first one is “gnostic and agnostic” gnostic means u have a strong conviction to ur beliefs whereas agnostic mindset doesnt have a strong belief meaning theyre not sure with the beliefs they hold. The Second category is “theism and atheism”. Theism beliefs that theres a higher power and atheism doenst believe in a higher power. So in conclusion you will label yourself in that 2 categories whether you are an “agnostic theist”, “gnostic atheist” etc etc

Growing up as a christian, I personally think na hindi madali na basta nalang hindi maniwala or i give up ang beliefs mo. I even started to think na maybe i was just being “tested”. Almost every night nag iisip ako ng mga bagay bagay like i was trying to convince myself na he’s there pero habang tumatagal mas lumalamang yung thought na there is really no god but somehow (i’m just not sure yet), something or maybe someone is responsible for our existence.

      Thats the first stage of agnosticism " Denial " all your life your parents haved thought you that theres a god but theres a conflict between science and religion. tried to read the bible since i was a christian too before the more i read the more i can see the loop holes of the book. Second " Anger " because of this once you haved concluded that theres really no valid point or proof that the god in the bible is true or not you felt betrayed by the people around you ( you tried to convince or debate to other people about how they are wrong and you are right )and you start hating the church or any religion for misinformation using emotions as a very powerful weapon to control the mass just like the past nung panahon ng mga kastila accept and obey, submit to our god or i will kill you or enslave you in the name of our god. Thats why naging christian dominated yung pilipinas the spanish used the power of threats and emotions to control our ancestors. Third "acceptance" you accepted and realised that the people around you were also a victim of the blind faith. been played by religious people to submit by there emotions and been indoctrinized by there parents since they were young to believe in there own religion also thats why this religious people are having a hard time accepting that there's no god or if there's...really the truth is that we dont know who it is, what it is...so you just position in the middle ( Agnosticism ) since you cant really tell if theres a god or none you choose to be educated and reasonable person enough even though you dont have a religion, you can still know whats right from wrong based on humanities order ( if you dont follow the humans law then most likely you will end up in jail we dont want that ) and well of course you are educated. We cant really prove that there's really a god same as we cant proved that there's no god so how about we just follow the law of the land and just be a better human being not bitter. ( Punahin ang gobyerno pag may mali wag mag bulag bulagan ). Respect others beliefs and just trust the universe since we lived in a physical universe and were a part of the universe. Yung nag tatrabaho ka and you try to achieved most your goals na walang inaapakang ibang tao. Imagine most of the christians are afraid na if the die they will go to heaven or hell. man theres no heaven or hell and thats a mental torture and look this idea contradicts there discription of there god ( abrahamic god ) God of love, Mercy? and okay lang sayo torturin mo in hell yung creation mo? that doesnt makes sense Where's the god of love? mercy? And last accept " Death " theres nothing to be afraid of its part of the journey even the stars die and the universe is no exception so live with less guilt and just be a good succesful human being enjoy your life now YOLO! Also try to practice STOICISM thank me later.

      @@noobmeister6652 Hello po.
      Some points in your comment:
      "the more i read the more i can see the loop holes of the book" - maybe you're reading the Bible just from the point of wanting to read an ordinary book. If you're just reading the Bible to get some information and not transformation, you won't be able to see the bigger picture.
      "you tried to convince or debate to other people about how they are wrong and you are right" - a true Christian is not self-righteous. He knows that he is just being made righteous through Jesus.
      "if you dont follow the humans law then most likely you will end up in jail we dont want that" - where do you think did the human law originate? "Do not murder", "Do not steal", "Do not commit adultery" etc.. sounds familiar?
      "just trust the universe since we lived in a physical universe and were a part of the universe" - isn't this what you really call a "blind faith" - trusting the creation to do something for you? This universe that we live in, do you think it really just came out of nothing? Or nothing made it? Can "nothing" make "something"?
      "Imagine most of the christians are afraid na if the die they will go to heaven or hell" - Are you sure about this? That Christians' faith is driven by fear? Definitely not. A true Christian relies on the love of God, puts his faith on God.
      "theres no heaven or hell and thats a mental torture and look this idea contradicts there discription of there god ( abrahamic god ) God of love, Mercy? and okay lang sayo torturin mo in hell yung creation mo?" - Man how sure are you that there's no heaven or hell? And to gaslight God? Akala ko ba nagbabasa ka noon ng Bible? Have you even saw that God is a God of Justice? Kung tutuusin because of all our sins He could just easily kill all of us, ALL OF US, in one snap. Pero ilang milyong tsansa ba ang binibigay Niya sa atin araw-araw? Going back to the law of the land you were talking about, yung batas ng tao pwede magkulong (magparusa) ng tao, pero ang batas ng Diyos wala lang ba? Na laging gagamitin yung "God of love and mercy" to justify na hindi dapat maparusahan ang mga makasalanan? Pero ito ang totoo, sobrang tama yung sinabi mo na God is a God of mercy and love and GRACE, to the point na yung bugtong na Anak Niya ay ibinigay to receive the punishment na dapat para sa atin. He substituted Himself for us. We just have to receive Him. We don't earn our salvation. We just plainly, simply receive it. God doesn't want to torture us. God doesn't send people to hell. People send themselves to hell. Read Romans 3.
      "just be a good succesful human being enjoy your life now YOLO" -
      Mga Taga-Efeso 2:8-9
      YOLO? No, we don't only live once. YOU ONLY DIE ONCE.
      I'm not sure kung nabasa mo ito:
      Itinakda sa mga tao na minsan lamang mamatay at pagkatapos ay ang paghuhukom. Hebreo 9:27
      To end, I hope you consider my points. Minsan mo nang nakilala ang Diyos. The fact na nakakapagcomment ka pa sa isang TH-cam video ay patunay na may chance ka pa to go back to Him. Concerned lang ako for you and I am speaking out of love here. I understand if you won't believe me, but it's true, I am speaking out of love. I'm not judging you in any way. Who am I to judge? I may not know what made you go away from the faith, but I would like to share a quote to end.
      It's better to die believing there is God but there isn't, than to die believing there is no God but there is.
      God bless you :)

      Hello bro,
      I respect your opinion tho i dont want a debate regarding this matter, Absolutely not going back to any kind or form of religion. Been a christian once and ive'd met most hypocritical people in my life, I dont want to become like them ( Holy lang sa sunday but in the weekdays the stupidiest people you will ever know ) although i forgive them. And im sorry but ived lean on the idea of science more than religion. Im an agnostic for quite some years now and ive'd never felt free in my life as i was in my religion before.
      About trusting the universe ive'd mentioned above it has nothing to do with agnosticism, Its from stoic point of view since im practicing stoicism also (Stoicism is older than christianity). Again im just replying to bitesy since he's confused and about to lean in an early stage of agnosticism. Tho I have nothing against with the christians most of my friends and families are christians i get along with them but its just sad that some of them are uneducated enough to think that there's people that dont believe in there gods and then branded them as " Lost or in there mind evil " No were not lost and certainly were not evil since we dont even believe in bible which they qoute the word "evil" to brand someone who dont believe in their own beliefs, How about were just curious people who wants to know the truth because again there's no proof yet that there's a god (theist) and at the sametime there's really no proof as well claiming that there isn't any god (atheist) and even we found out in the end that there's a god then thats another thing since we have to evaluate what kind of god is that, If its hateful, malevolent? whilst claiming to be a god of love and peace and mercy then most likely were not gonna praise that.
      To end this, Theres nothing wrong with being christian or atheist or whatever you believed in as long as you are living in peace and with in accordance with the universe (stoic thing sorry) Peace out bro! Ughmm not god bless? but i hope you are doing fine in your life.✌
      Since you quote me with bible verses here's my quote for you as a stoic

      An agnostic don't inherently lean towards atheism. There is Agnostic Theism and Agnostic Atheism. Being agnostic means you need proof for someone to belief. If there is no proof, there is no claim if it exist or not hence agnostic can lean towards believing there is an existence of one or more gods or the absence of it. You should re-read the meaning of Hard and Soft Agnostic.

      @@rational.skeptic you could define a cake as a sweet pastry made of wheat, eggs, sugar, salt, and milk or water but there are lots of other pastries made of these things. Atheism is defined as a lack of belief or disbelief in god but I am trying to highlight that not all people who don’t think that there is a god should be called Atheists. I might have called her atheistic in another context but I would not call her an Atheist and not because of the taxonomy of the word but because of how it is important to distinguish and label people thoughtfully and productively, especially when being deeply philosophical.

      @@allanjosephcandaroma1275 in the traditional, utilitarian, and academic sense of the word; an agnostic is someone who believes that no one can prove that a god exists. We add labels to give more breadth to this idea and the varying levels of the perceived possibility of gods or a god. The idea of agnosticism is based on a fundamental scientific principle and if you accept that something cannot be proven then it cannot also exist within an understanding of science based on the same principle, which is that if there is not proof for something it doesn’t exist. The scientific concept of infinity can prove that monkeys will write the complete works of Shakespeare (this thought about monkeys was based on an old saying if you didn’t know) but not that a god exist’s; or at least not as something most people would see as a god. Your understanding of agnosticism is similar to a misconception that Is taught to many Christian’s about people to make agnostics seem like confused people.

    thankful this video exists because i never would've known about the term 'agnostic'. i've always been quite unsure about what i believed in. i tend to think that our lives are planned out (like fate) and that everything we go through has a purpose, or in some will all correlate with each other, but at the same time i don't believe in the need to worship something/someone for a better life; it kind of feels like people just pray to god to somewhat make themselves feel better and more optimistic. like a quote from a movie i had seen, "Other animals live in the present. Humans cannot, so they invented hope."
    it feels nice to know that there people out there who have the same beliefs as me. it was also really fun to hear from everyone's perspectives. hope to see more interesting videos in the future!

    You might disagree with this, religion reinforces many good values in our lives, but people who don't believe in religion would think that it's all about the Bible and the straight-forward belief for God.
    At first thought, you would think that cheating against your partner depends on everyone, but many go through this path dahil hindi masyadong established yung kahalagahan ng marriage and being faithful to a person kung ikaw ay hindi ganoon ka-religious. I'm not saying they're more likely to cheat, my point is that religion reinforces some of these values more.

      I believe in God, rather than not to believe.
      Why because after all I've been through, I can say that I know Jesus. The real Him and not the teachings about Him. Not how people describe Him. Not how he's portrayed in pop culture. And the Bible? Some believe it's literally true. Catholics believe it's not but rather symbolically true.
      I believe the Bible is not God but a witness to Him. Therefore the Bible cannot own God. God cannot only be understood through the Bible. I believe no religion owns God.
      This is what Jesus said.
      "If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
      Now since I know Jesus I obey His command. And His command is as easy as this.
      "Love God above all(moral commands), Love yourself. And Love others as yourself."
      That's it!
      Whenever I do "bad" things. Spoke ill to others, I feel empty, and they might feel empty as well. Whenever I succumb to greediness, I feel it seep life through me. It prevents me to enjoy life as it is. Worst it pushes people I love away from me. Lust and porn addiction is only good at the beginning but it's harmful for me in the long run. I feel it's not lust and not even sex I need but love and affection.
      However when I encourage others, I feel good as well.
      When I share with others genuinely, I feel an unexplainable sense of fulfillment in me. Porn addiction seeps the life out of me. I feel bad for the actors as well now I know they might be depressed. Sex with anyone can be beguiling at the start but sex with someone you love is the best. And I believe that I don't have sex to get wasted, I have sex to enjoy it and to help my partner enjoy it as well.
      Many near death experiences see a being of love. People from different parts of the world. Japanese people claim seeing a being full of love. Indians see their god of death. Christian see Jesus.
      As written in 1 John 4:16
      "God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him."
      I wish the best for everyone , but I believe that reasons are enough for me to believe in God, rather than not to.

      Romans 3:10‭-‬12 NIV
      Read the bible for yourself, cut the ignorance. Kahit book of John muna, so that you may have eternal life. None of our good works will save us from the wrath of God. Salvation is a free gift from God through faith in Christ Jesus.
      For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.
      Ephesians 2:8‭-‬9 NIV
      Magrepent ka na habang may oras pa, humingi ng tawad sa Diyos ng may humble and contrite heart. Trust in Jesus alone, who is the way, the truth and the life. He is the only way to the Father. Di ka makakapasok sa kingdom ni Lord unless you're born again.
      Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.
      John 3:5‭-‬6 NIV
      “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
      John 14:15‭-‬17 NIV
      Be a true Christian and get saved or Eternal damnation in hell?? Yun lang naman ang choice natin.
      You don't believe God exist??

      Bahay = builder

      Painting = painter
      Alam mo sa sarili mo na may Diyos kasi ang lahat ng nakikita mo can't create themselves. So common sense na:

    As an Agnostic who once believed in him, I like that religion can make people feel hope and stuff but the idea of believing in something that is we haven't seen at all is just weird, but i don't understand why some people believes in him so much that they rely on him. This "God" is something that can help our mental states and I acknowledge religion for that. I don't hate them, i like that religion can be great for other people, but if i think if a agnostic like me will see him in my own eyes or proven scientifically i would definitely believe his real indeed but still not convert to that religion fully
    A wise man said
    Respect the Gods, without relying on their help
    -Miyamoto Masashi
    if you believe in any religion or an atheist keep this in mind, Its very important that you're own life's journey and power resides within yourself not just in Gods. God only helps those who help themselves and only those who are willing to take that step forward on their journey that are rewarded. But you need to understand that the only way to truly bring change about in your life is to actively take positive action towards what you want.
    Religion can be great but relying too much on God don't change your life actions. God built you this way to have freedom per se. Im not trying offending anyone but please do keep this in mind. I understand both sides of atheist and theist people. I hope you are able to understand me.

    As an Atheist, the bible for me was like a fairytale or a fiction book. If there is higher being why can't he just write the story in the bible on his own to be literally accurate. I believe that writers/authors of the bible were mere humans born on that era and have no knowledge of the future. They thought slavery was good but today we thought slavery was bad. Our conscience was our moral compass evolving throughout the years, the bible was just an old legend with no evidence of higher being until now.

      He did write the Moral law on the clay tablet Himself and gave it to Moses. It was then written in papers by men along with Israel's History. In other words, when it comes to History, it has to be men that should write and not God.
      Also Slavery was never Proposed by God. It was the People of Israel who asked God to have slaves, so God permitted them but they should follow the rules which few of them are;
      1. Love the slaves as urself
      2. Treat them as native born
      3. Don't treat them as slaves but as hired workers
      In short, slaves in the Bible were voluntary labor either to pay debt, to acquire land or because of poverty not forced and kidnapped as how people with less knowledge tends to demonize the Bible.

    i relate to the agnostic person. i was raised catholic but sadly i find catholics as hypocrites and superficial. they make it seem like going to church makes u a good person, yet they do a lot of questionable things. i think theres an entity out there with a higher power, something/someone bigger than tangible things, even bigger than science (maybe theyre multidimensional beings, maybe its god, maybe both haha) but we do not have the comprehension to define it fully. i also agree with the atheist when she said that people can be complex. i think it's really important we do not cling to labels so much, because i feel like u arent 100% this and that, our minds are capable of pondering upon stuff like religion andscience and all that shit. we need to be more tolerant and less judgmental so that we may understand each other rather than just jump to a conclusion and reduce a person to a stereotype jut because they have different opinions and perspectives from yours.

    Her saying that catholics only believe because we felt something thats why we believe, spits on the face of all the martyrs throughout the 2000 years of church history. Especially those who faced the most horrible of deaths in the 1st century. They attest with their lives the life, resurrection amd divinity of Christ.
    If she wants proofs, i recommend studying church history and philosophy, both studies that use reasoning and logic akin to the scientific approach.
    Some may ask that, why not do an indepth study of every religion? Why study the christian faith, especially catholic faith? An answer here would not suffice, nor should it. A brief introduction into first century christian life should be a great place to get an understanding why this religion and not others, and in the end, only the holy spirit can convict you. Great figures of the first century to look at would be Saints Paul and Peter. These men were extraordinary leaders of the Church and their testimony would shake you to your core.

    Honestly, I think religion shouldn’t really matter that much. As long as you have a basic concept of right from wrong and whether or not you are hurting someone, you can live a very prosperous life. Religious people tend to be the most horrible people anyway. Just do what makes you happy but doesn’t result in you stepping on other people and enjoy life. Do not worry too much about what will happen after you die.

      @Anonymous Dummy I’m sorry but, am I missing something here? Do you really need a book to tell you that taking something that isn’t yours is wrong? Or that having sex with someone when you’re in a relationship is considered a bad thing? Do you really need someone like God to tell you that taking someone’s life can land you in jail? The concept is very easy to understand. Live your life without hurting others. There are so many people out there who is living a good life without worrying about God or the Bible and what it says. It’s really up to you whether or not you think your purpose is to follow the so called words of God or just live. I’m just saying that religion can be irrelevant to someone and they don’t feel like something is missing from their life.
