Seconded. I've been trying to find a definitive list of the vids with him as commentary and have come up empty, if someone put that together they would be a legend
Daring duck of mystery Champion of right Swoops out of the shadows Darkwing owns the night Somewhere some villain schemes But his number’s up (3, 2, 1) Darkwing Duck (When there’s trouble you call DW) Darkwing Duck (Let’s get dangerous) Darkwing Duck (Darkwing, Darkwing Duck) Out of smoke and he appears The master of surprise Who’s that cunning mind behind The shadowy disguise Nobody knows for sure Bad guys are out of luck Here comes Darkwing Duck (When there’s trouble you call DW) Darkwing Duck (Let’s get dangerous) Darkwing Duck (Better watch out you bad boys) Darkwing Duck
I don’t even know what that means let alone how you could not know about a particular kind of level after 30 years. The only acceptable excuse is if you are 130.
Great run, Darkwing Duck! Man, wish they'd had those boss health indicators in the of Myths and Monsters version, which is what I had growing up. Also... 28:25 ...wha...are we just, not gonna talk about you walking through that reaper? o_O
I had this game growing up back in the 80s and it was hard as sh*t. The only way I ever beat it was through nestopia emulator using save states. I may go back to it and challenge myself without the save states. And here's you guys are... speedrunning it.
Haven't played Kid Icarus, but it looks like the end-of-level transition takes longer to complete if he's killed anything due to the score countdown. So if he can get to the end of the stage without killing anything or having to slow down along the way, then it's faster to just not kill anything. Obviously, it would be a lot faster to kill the enemies nearby than to take the death, but Darkwing is probably also conditioned just to not shoot anything on 1-1 and just damage boost through that stage.
Dude bailed on life quite a bit. Still much faster than I've ever beaten the Ic, I just expected more from a "pro" I suppose. Still good to see someone keeping my very early childhood alive.
GDQ needs to start tagging the videos where Blechy provides commentary so us casual marathon watchers don't miss any. He's the absolute best.
Seconded. I've been trying to find a definitive list of the vids with him as commentary and have come up empty, if someone put that together they would be a legend
Agreed, dude is so knowledgeable it makes it really interesting to watch.
no one could ever say the man is SHORT on words...
6:40 start of the speedrun. No problem.
He actually died at 1-1 so start at 7:52
Darkwing Duck does it again. I love this guy. Very entertaining.
One of the most entertaining runner + couch combos I've ever seen!!! Great job, guys, that was really enjoyable to watch.
17:30 short - short - LEEEAAAP - wakka wakka - LEEEAAAP!
POT - statue - BRAMBLES - statue
The new Morse code
Glad for these uploads. I was sad to miss this run live cause I was sleeping, glad to have the chance to watch it
"You guys didn't do enough to convince meeeeee!"
Apostrophe glad is the best kind of glad.
Loved this game!

Mushroom Kingdom Puffle Jesus man.
I've been playing this game for like 30 years and I never even knew there were horizontal levels.
I don’t even know what that means let alone how you could not know about a particular kind of level after 30 years.
The only acceptable excuse is if you are 130.
LMAO!
I believe what he means is that he found the game so difficult that he never was able to make it past
1-3
Darkwing was amazing. Lowbrow entertainment at its best.
Loved this game as a kid
DW is AWESOME!!!
holy shit how is this game not as popular as mario or sonic
like, wtf are people doing
Great run, Darkwing Duck! Man, wish they'd had those boss health indicators in the of Myths and Monsters version, which is what I had growing up. Also...

I assumed he didn't have a hitbox when he wasn't hostile.
Nice speed run, some interesting glitches.
Though I found Pit's hurt noise strangely disturbing. It's like a kitten being attacked over and over.
Lets
Get
DANGEROUS.
This remains my favorite GDQ run (primarily because of Blechy)
This game is so hard and unique to run
darkwing is a legend

This game's so difficult.
Tonedeff actually rapped on the music that is on world two. #TodaysTrivia
I owned this game as a kid, and the furthest I ever got was the boss of stage 1.
"You have to be far right"
TRIGGERED REE
So it's not a coincidence that this dude sounds like the electric guy with a plug for a head from Darkwing Duck is it?
Great game, great music. The 3ds version ruined the whole franchise. Wish they would make another kid Icarus 2d old school style with modern graphics
Especially because of Pit's cool new char design in brawl, yet they gave him a mismatched game
25:48 wtf , there are Metroids in this game?
No, those are not-Metroids™.
They joke about it in the sequel.
in the Kid Icarus instruction Manuel it does say they are from another planet
Their official name is Komayto. They are an intentional reference to Metroids.
Both games were made by the same team. They put them in as a little Easter egg.
What's the guy on the right (in red) tag? Is it blinky? Does he have a page or way to follow him? He's my fav narrator for these runs.
Blechy
Thanks!
GG, DW!
In conclusion: LEEEAAAAP!
Ice physics: I thought all you have to do to stop sliding on ice is to press up?
Would someone in the know explain about the secrete scoring thing a little further pls?
ICARUS FIGHTS
MEDUSA ANGELS
PJ...? What happened at 0:00?
Because 8-bit.
How does he do the warp in 3-4 to get to the "E Have Everything" screen and skip the boss? I've been trying forever...
7:48 bummer =/
Gates McFadden
i thought this music is from legend of zelda (1 lvl) idk why -_-
6:37
Why doesn't he kill anything in the first stage, even when he's near death?
Haven't played Kid Icarus, but it looks like the end-of-level transition takes longer to complete if he's killed anything due to the score countdown. So if he can get to the end of the stage without killing anything or having to slow down along the way, then it's faster to just not kill anything.

31:33 get dunked on

31:31 HAHAHAHAHA
There's so much Doki Doki Panic / Mario 2 in Kid Icarus. Art style, enemy behaviour, weird crouching position..Even the scenario is similar.
Then again it also has a Zelda shop and Metroids lol
29:37 E
Died on 1.1 ... no reset?
My impression is that, generally, you do not reset in a marathon unless it is crucial to the run.
why doesn't he shoot enemies in 1-1
Medusa looks like Pepe the frog
Hi I beat this game in one minute.
