Yes, I know that in the original song the rhythm guitar is tuned to that key. But I really preferred to save you the time of having to tune your guitar to another key just to make a few simple chords, although I should have clarified that. Thanks!
Kid Congo did everything he could to make playing easy, since even though he’d never played guitar, he was essentially forced to be a guitarist in Gun Club by Jeffrey Lee Pierce.
Oh.....it's not really an A....is that some other type of weird D chord? There is an A in the bass though....but the video shows you playing a traditional "D" chord. Not a big deal, was just trying to figure that out, thx for putting this together!
I used the guitar rig (guitar pc program, I just put the "twang reverb" as a cabinet (that's the name the program gives it) but it's actually a replica of the fender pro reverb I guess. Treble:10 Mid:4 Bass:1 Reverb:8
hahaha, sorry, when I played it I realized that it was easier to make an open D than the D that I put in the tab, the tablature still marks the same but played on a different side of the neck
Or you can just learn 4 chords and play the whole song in standard. It's too lazy to tune your guitar to play only 4 chords, although I understand that the original song is played that way, I preferred to change those chords to standard tuning
My old strat has been in the basement for 20 years, and is now in the shop - because I want to learn this song!
Awesome playing and tutorial !
Thanks a lot!
thanks. im learning it rn and the 1st part is not that hard for me as a begginer
Good stuff, you make it look easy. I can play the rhythm but gotta learn the lead and this will help a lot. Thanks dude
You're welcome! Yes, with a little practice you will surely get the complete song
@@ALETabsYTracks But then it has to ROCK Billy.
"The guitar in the recording was tuned to an open E chord" - Kid Congo Powers. It's then one-fingered wonder all the way to the end. :)

Yes, you're half right, the tab shows a barre chord but is a D chord, and I play a D in other way for comfort in the neck position.
Gostei da música por causa de Wandinha, quis aprender tocar e encontrei essa vídeo-aula aqui
What pedals are you using that’s a beautiful tone

All those fingers flying everywhere. Now try Open E tuning. It's all bar chords.
