    Modifying your trays in the Milwaukee PACKOUT is quite easy. In five short minutes, you can turn your little two area organizer trays into a four area tray. All I did was a quick little modification with the Dremel and BOOM we are done! The Milwaukee PACKOUT organizer is pretty darn awesome, but if you are like me, you sometimes need the extra few compartments for little items.
    This modification can be done to the Milwaukee PACKOUT Slim Organizer or the regular deep organizer! I hope this helps someone out there!!!

    Every single review talks about how they wish these trays had this functionality. It would be so easy for Milwaukee to fix this. They do a good job of listening to their customers so fingers crossed.

    I'm surprised Milwaukee didn't do this from factory. 2 little cuts and it's twice as versatile. Now if only they fixed their wheels and handle on the dolly box, i'd be set.

    Did your box come with the dividers?

  • @warped2875
    @warped2875 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Milwaukee should have made the dividers with a friction fit to the bins to help keep them from pulling up when digging parts out with your fingers to prevent small pieces from migrating to other sections when the dividers inevitably lift up because they are so loose.
    I'm thinking that a small dab of hot glue, or silicone/RTV sealant, judiciously applied to the little bump in the center of the bin would help hold the dividers down, while also not being a permanent adhesive which could be removed later if so desired.

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! I like your idea! Judiciously of course, I will be using this term in the future!

    Great idea mate! So many people on youtube have come up with extra, great ideas that add more versatility to the Pack-Out system, like your simple yet effective idea here. There are people adding 3D printed additions to this/their system. I just bought my Pack-Out system about a week ago and every spare moment I get, I am still trying to get my tools in order, exactly how I want them set out. Another great thing with the K-Foam inserts, once you have made homes in the foam for your tools, If any foam section is empty after packing up at the end of the day, You know if you have grabbed everything or not :)
    Let's hope Milwaukee is paying attention to all of these system upgrades and start implementing these ideas as part of the next release of the Pack-Out system with the option of different upgrades ;) I know they implemented the K-Foam idea ;P
    Cheers!

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the epoxy didn’t add any height to the project. Just a small drop to hold things in place!!

    • @terryluebbe2560
      @terryluebbe2560 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheDurbinCompound I was just pointing out that the lid looks like it would hold dividers in without glue. However, since the resulting compartments are so small, and you may want to take the tray out, adding the epoxy is a nice touch.

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will definitely hold them in place with the lid closed. I just like to keep it in place because you don’t have the lid down when you are rifling through the contents and that’s when you pull them out! It went well! I’m pleased
