When the outdoor arena is bigger than the turnout pastures, I think there's an issue. Even if it's just used over the Florida winters, if that's the case, it doesn't make it any better. I wonder when we'll see one of these "luxury" stables that actually prioritize horse welfare over the human needs and preferences. And no I don't care if your horse is extremely valuable or used for competition, if that compromises its welfare and basic needs, then something has to change.

Most of these type of properties are temporary travel properties for show seasons, so the horses are only there temporarily, it's not a full time property.
Interesting for sure. 3 acres? What??! For a working, year round stable, a hard pass. But for the target audience- I am sure someone on the circuit will love it, it looks pretty.
Once again reminding folks that this is Wellington, Florida, USA which is just outside of West Palm Beach. This is a place that folks typically come for the winter show circuit, and do not stay year round. These are the types of people who do not want their extremely expensive show horses to have much turnout, and who want to be able to keep an eye on them constantly. It's not normal equestrian life by any means.
I live in Wellington FL. This facility is huge! The three acres are just for the stables for some boarders who are there for shows! The stalls are large, giving the horses room for comfort. They have a facility staffed with top of the line medical and surgical equipment for round the clock medical care. The entire facility gives the horses room to acclimate to weather, humidity and the stress they might feel being in a strange environment. They have round pens for exercise. This facility is all around state of the art ! This community is a very well known around the world! When they built this place they spared nothing to ensure these top of the line horses, owners and groomers. There is so much more property than is shown in this 3acres!
In reality, there are people who live there all year and have properties smaller than this. There are idiots out there who never turn out the horses. All of this fancy crap is not necessary for horses. They need turnout and be in a herd.
The barn is nice, it’s extremely nice but when a barn that nice, that expensive I expect a pasture that’s fit for the horses to roam and run around in.

Beautiful Winter Show Barn for the winter show circuit in Florida. Differently not a full-time training facility or residence. This barn and residence would be too hot in the summer months of Florida. Esp training uncovered outdoor ring. No shade for the horse in the small turnout areas. I live in Central Florida and it gets too hot to train or compete for almost 4 months due to the heat and humidity. Wellington is even hotter during the summer. Put that barn in Ocala!! Amazing horse area, that has the most beautiful farms and lush green FIELDS.
I usually really love the places that showcase on the barn tours, this one however left me anxious for the horses and cringing. I had to stop not even halfway through, sorry lovely (Matt) I just couldn't. as even before the halfway mark, it was super evident that this facility was not designed with the horse in mind, but the luxury, the look, the status and the heightened sense of self-worth of the human over the comfort and well being of the horse, which ironically, is supposed to be at the centre of a place like this. I know you and Jesse would not move to a place like this. Such is life in these times.
Weird, my comment disappeared about it being sold already. Well, it is sold on 8/14 and sold for $5,800,000, although the list price was for $6,499,000. Don't know that I would spend that money on 2.5 acres (according to the mls listing so they rounded up here) but whatevs. Surprised they actually are able to sell this as an 18 horse property given most states or counties actually require a minimum of 4 or 5 acres to keep a SINGLE horse on it.
Wellington is beautiful. But 3 acres and 18 stalls. 18 horses would not have enough turnout. They could have put in fewer properties each with more acreage.
Would liked to have seen more of the stalls and horse areas - size and composition of stalls, horse wash and dry areas, any rehab areas. Seems the person in charge of the place showed more things for people than things for horses. Know it's brand new but didn't feel like a true working stable.
This barn and residence will never be a working stable, it was built for use when the winter circuit in Florida occurs. Florida is too hot to train year-round without shade or an indoor arena. Wellington is like Disney world for equestrians, I love going their, especially when I'm trying horses! This property is lovely and I wouldn't turn my nose up at it!!!! But the issue with Wellington is the price of lots and available land. So, unfortunately you will see many properties that seem to be absolutely stunning, very lavish, user friendly, geared more for the serious competitive riders who travel a lot. But often don't have ample space for big turn-out pastures like many of us are used to. I think you have to move more outside of Wellington proper or maybe even Ocala to get bigger lots. And also I get the feeling that many of these barns are for the Florida Circuit and these riders who will only keep their horses there from late December/early January, until late March/April when they head back up north to much bigger facilities with much more turn out rings and pastures. I'm low key hunting in Canada, for a small facility and I wouldn't get anything less than at least 10 acres but would prefer 20++++!! And even with this one I would use every available space for turn out, forget all the fancy landscaping for the most part! And an indoor is essential in Florida, to train show horses. I've ridden down there in the summer and it's brutal, similar to Australia it sounds! Super hot and you can cut the humidity with a knife!! I do find the decor a tad over the top here but they are all that way. I tried a really cool horse at a barn owned by one of the US show jumping team members and it had huge crystal chandeliers. This looks like a terrific show facility for the Wellington circuit. I'm sure it isn't intended to be a full-time place for the ponies due to very limited turnout.
I would prefer the tackrooms closer to the tack up area. You don't need an indoor in FL, but a covered ring would help with the heat and occasional rain.
its a beautiful property but where is the turnout for the horses? i only see 2 extremely small paddocks which is definitely not suitable for 18 horses. is there another place the horses go that you all didnt show?
Showplace barns. Nice to see how the other half lives, LOL. There were some nice ideas here that I could see being incorporated in to an everyday barn.
It looks beautiful. What a lovely place for rich people and their horses to stay while doing competitions. I know there is no turnout area, but surely the fancy pants sports horses get plenty of exercise while training on the beautiful arenas and going for trail rides. I wish there was a working class version of this.
@@afm3898Worth in money is useless if there are so many stalls for 3 acres? This speaks for itself, horses WOULD be neglected. Horses MUST have big fields to run around in. Sadly this property is not suitable for owning more than 1 or 2 horses..
@@afm3898if you don't have enough space to house an animal you are neglecting it. One horse needs 1-3 acres of land. Three acres is not enough land for the amount of horses this place claims it can house.
3:08 getting a view of the paddocks...?? no paddocks here, just tiny turnout area x 3 you would need to constantly transport your horse out for a considerable time get some decent stretch of the legs and burn off some of that pent up energy. 18 horses on 3 acres. = not happy horse and may get more anxiety and behavior issues from not being able to unwind and be a horse. It is a beautiful facility, but not one i would keep my horse no matter if I was given it as a throw away or spent a million on it. Here in NZ 3 acres might "do" for 1 horse...2 at a pinch but you would still need to trek out (trail ride) to get them to unwind and stretch those muscles and relieve built up tension.
It is beautiful but I like my horses out most of the time and here that means 2 acres per horse so 3 acres that the buildings take up most of that would not be useful to me. Someone however is going to get a very lovely property.
The lack of horse friendly features in such an expensive horse property is mind boggling. Aside from the TINY acreage to horse ratio, the fact that there is virtually no shade in the outdoor areas shows zero foresight for the comfort of horses living in hot, tropical Florida.
No point in having 3 acres for 18 horses would be just ok for 2 horses ! They should have just built the house + maybe a nice small guest house & just a big garden. Gated community is not my idea of living. It is very nice both the house & stables though for me it would have to be in the countryside & at least on 30 acres of land or more.
It's beautiful but 3 acres is too small for such a huge stable, IMO. It is nice that there is a bridle path that winds through the area and I wonder if you can ride alongside the polo fields? Probably not.
I do not think you or Jesse would be happy in a place like this. You are both too real to live here. It has kind of a sterile environment. Beautiful for the right person.
WOWWWWW... Watching out for my millionaire 😄.. ! .. would only bring three horses, so the amount of acres would actually be enough to comfort them.. many ideas left for the usage of the empty stalls 😉😚😃...
Far too hot in the summer for horses, small paddocks, no indoor arena, where is the pasture/s? Very clinical. Not my idea of a home for horses, or a horse family. Looks like a winter retreat for veterans to show off their wealth and have other veterans visit.
Whoever can afford that property I'm sure can afford the insurance if they can find a company that will insure it. Average insurance cost in FL is over 9,000 per year. 1 hurricane = poof ....
If you truly love horses, think of their good wellbeing, physically & mentally. They won't be happy in jail. Best is lots of free roam run space in big big natural pasture with protective fencing.

It looks beautiful. What a lovely place for rich people and their horses to stay while doing competitions. I know there is no turnout area, but surely the fancy pants sports horses get plenty of exercise while training on the beautiful arenas and going for trail rides.
I wish there was a working class version of this.
This should literally be illegal by law. No more than 1 horse can be kept here wtf is going in in this abusive industry
These horses would be worth a fortune trust me they aren't being neglected 😂
Thanks for the tour! It would be interesting to see what the owner has done with the property since it has been sold.
Gorgeous property Matt. Thank you for taking me along.
This stable looks AMAZING for humans, didn’t think about the horses at all for this. Lovely build if it had at least 2 acres per horse 🤨
How DARE you come to Florida without telling me Matt . 😂 huge fan . Sorry I missed ya
Gated community says it all. Poor horses!
Just built? tear it down lol
It is beautiful but I like my horses out most of the time and here that means 2 acres per horse so 3 acres that the buildings take up most of that would not be useful to me. Someone however is going to get a very lovely property.
So lovely. Amazing! A tranquil vibe I feel all the way to Florida. Love to you and Jesse!✨❤️❤️✨
Good luck keeping all that white clean. Why so few acres?
Stunning property tfs
I'll need to start saving I think! Lovely property for the right person. ❤❤
MY DREAM HOUSE AND STABLE TAKE MY MONEY ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅
Please move to Florida right when I do!!! 😂❤ I want a duo clinic lol
The lack of horse friendly features in such an expensive horse property is mind boggling. Aside from the TINY acreage to horse ratio, the fact that there is virtually no shade in the outdoor areas shows zero foresight for the comfort of horses living in hot, tropical Florida.
3 ACRES!!! 😱 FOR 18 HORSES!!!😖
Too fancy for people not the horses
Didn't I see this last year?
Another turnout-free, painfully showy New Money extravaganza. Is this a real estate sales tour?
Matt such a beautiful place, one thing missing , where is the soul ? Just my opinion.❤
This place is so nice id happily live in a stable 😂
No point in having 3 acres for 18 horses would be just ok for 2 horses !
They should have just built the house + maybe a nice small guest house & just a big garden.
Gated community is not my idea of living. It is very nice both the house & stables though for me it would have to be in the countryside & at least on 30 acres of land or more.
Beautiful place. Really enjoyed the tour. ❤❤
You lost me at 3 acres. I don't care how beautiful, blah, blah, blah, 18 horses on 3 acres is untenable. How is that even legal??!!!
It's beautiful but 3 acres is too small for such a huge stable, IMO. It is nice that there is a bridle path that winds through the area and I wonder if you can ride alongside the polo fields? Probably not.
Wow!
18 stalls???? 3 acres???? That’s not adding up
I do not think you or Jesse would be happy in a place like this. You are both too real to live here. It has kind of a sterile environment. Beautiful for the right person.
Very posh and streamlined but no real homely character.
Wow, looks amazing!
Im getting a horse soon and i have 120 acres, you have multiple, you 100% need more space.
WOWWWWW... Watching out for my millionaire 😄.. ! .. would only bring three horses, so the amount of acres would actually be enough to comfort them.. many ideas left for the usage of the empty stalls 😉😚😃...
Oh look, it's a shiny new horse prison. Please stop working with these people, Matt.
Far too hot in the summer for horses, small paddocks, no indoor arena, where is the pasture/s? Very clinical. Not my idea of a home for horses, or a horse family. Looks like a winter retreat for veterans to show off their wealth and have other veterans visit.
Plastic palace sterile not enough homely stableling and outdoor space Luxury top priority horses incidental just awful.Horses are not commodities.
Are there even any horses there
Not yet. They said in the beginning is that it is a new build.
English I'm going to be here
Whoever can afford that property I'm sure can afford the insurance if they can find a company that will insure it. Average insurance cost in FL is over 9,000 per year. 1 hurricane = poof ....
If you truly love horses, think of their good wellbeing, physically & mentally. They won't be happy in jail. Best is lots of free roam run space in big big natural pasture with protective fencing.
As it has already sold at $6.5m list price, I am sure the comment feedback isn't really of much concern!
beautiful facility, every design feature ensuring the horses are comfortable and the stalls well ventilated.
please research betterhelp, your private information you give them isn't safe, they sponsor idf and you actually don't speak to a professional.
Nice. But one of hundreds in Wellington.
And notice not shown grooms quarters. Go figure.
I'm in California. What country is Wellington in?
Wellington, Florida, USA
@@pam3626 Thanks!! I noticed the palm trees and figured it wasn't where Matt lived. The only Wellington I know of is New Zealand.
Only 3 acres that's a place for people with money not horse's and there needs in the long run 😢
The amount of turn out pens and pastures is so bad. There’s not enough room for the horses.
Imagine boarding your horse here!😀
