Hoover S4402 Aquamaster 3 in 1 Vacuum Cleaner Review & Demonstration

I didn’t need another Hoover Aquamaster, but I saw this on eBay recently and bought it on impulse. Needs a bit of a clean, but it seems to be in full working order even though it’s pretty laborious to use compared to modern upright carpet washers.

WO-AH. To say that machine was over 30 years old the cleaning ability looked fantastic. Looks to be just as good as a rug doctor.

I'm about to use this to clean my living room. It's the only thing I've got, was my nans, then my parents, then my older brothers, now it's mine. Always been the best general hoover, great suction, absolutely brilliant for hoovering out a car, I've never tried the shampoo function though, hoping it still works as good as this one does.

I miss my aquamaster! I'd have another one like a shot, brilliant for cleaning the indoor drains on the sink/bath etc and dusting was a doddle with it!

I remember buying a Vax in the late 1980’s and I was extremely disappointed by the carpet shampooing performance, which only seemed to scrape the surface. Fortunately the on/off switch was faulty so I took it back to Comet, where I’d bought it, and luckily I was able
to swap it for an Electrolux ‘Masterlux’ which had a powered washing solution pump and was absolutely fantastic. I had that machine for many years until the pump started to leak, by which time parts were no longer available. I still miss that machine, it was superb!

When comes your review and test of the Vorwerk vk200?. Im thinking of getting one but I’m not sure because it’s very expensive and i wanted to see how it performs and if it’s worth the money.

Don't waste your money. You could buy a Sebo upright, cylinder, & a decent carpet washer for the same money. The head of my Vorwerk Tiger is faulty and I've hardly used it.
