I remember years where if you had an Ai and they had a full team get ready for double teams all game long, because the ai ain't gonna hit a shot, or play defense at all. Then like last year the Ai is so op players would rather play with one Ai on the team vs having the full squad.
This game is wild. As a 7'1" big, there are some missed shots where I can’t even grab the rebound. My player gets stuck, and even though I’m tapping triangle while clearly in position to get the ball, it still doesn’t happen. Instead, the opposing team gets it. My player literally won’t jump. LMFAO!
2k should have just reverted to timing base rather than this RNG that just ruins the game, i love playing 2k with friends but this is game kinda stressful rather than fun.

Anyone remember the days of 2k when in online versus the final scores would be 100-89 and you could actually hit shots and make more than two 3 pointers in a row before the games algorithm makes you automatically miss. Its insane that the most offensive era of basketball the last 5+ years and 2k has toned down offense each and every year. The league hits more 3’s than ever but I used to make at least 4-5 more a game on like 2k13 lmao.
Has anyone noticed among all the other problems 1 in particular? Where you're wide open for 3 and you have all the time in the world to shoot and you time your shot like you always do and shoot that thang straight into the rafters? Like wtf 2k! You'll get a random very early or very late input.

As a REAL OG, been playing 2k and NBA Live since 99, I hate 2K I do not respect them anymore, I never pay full price for the game I always get it for $25 or half price. Im disgusted what they have done to our Basketball Games. The last 2k that I had so much fun in just playing regular basketball online was 2k14 that one was amazing. 2k18-25 are the biggest joke to NBA or Basketball Games in General. I hope and pray that one day NBA 2k goes under if any company deserves it more its them.

My crew and I play my league online and we have several members of the league who are head and shoulders better than the others, but like clockwork when those good users take the lead all of a sudden the goofy stuff starts to happen like clockwork and we miss the same free throws and shots that we were greening earlier. My fear is that this is just the beginning. 2k26 is going to be worse. This game is a prime example of what happens when you let none hoopers make a basketball game

Gosh I miss the old 2ks and the arcade feel of the game. Like when the mechanics were top notch and there was a huge skill gap. When u can learn your shot and not have to worry about heavy rng (not saying there wasn’t rng). When animations were limited. I feel like in these new 2ks im always learning a new ridiculous animation that happens to me or the defender vise versa. Like I’m surprised all the time by the new stuff I come across. 2k is like an endless sea of chaos and there is always something new. We don’t want that as a community. I would say honestly for me 2k need to make shooting a lot more fluid without the shot timing feature and coverage impact they need to get away from that and make the gameplay a lot more smoother for next-gen

Another complaint if you get 15 team fouls in myteam you get kicked from the game and it counts as a quit. I had someone run to the basket every play and press square. I was up 30 in the fourth and lost bc the cpu got a reaching foul giving me my 15th foul. I lost the game despite being up by 30 points
If it only cost $30 to get to max out my build I’d be more inclined to make more builds and spend more money. Got this game on Christmas and put 20 dollars in for my build, got him to a 75 overall and now I’m getting bored trying to get him to a 90 overall. I want to make a new build but don’t wanna put any more money in just to get my new build only to a 75

I didn’t think too much of it, but… yea. I had my 1st OT last night & 1 today! Exact same thing. We beating a team by 10-20 points & they come back. We either won or loss by 1 point. That’s been last 2 days for sure. ….and I don’t spend money on 2K. I think it’s the slow grind to 99 that forces u to learn ur players animation cues. Not only the shot timing, but rhythm shooting & steal attempts …skill dunking, ball handling, etc. Soon as it becomes easy… bump up the difficulty. The challenge itself will force u to adjust the way u play.

I wish I had the clip. Yesterday I was in rec, we choked a 4pts lead in the 4th and were down 10 with less than a minute left. I hit 2 back to back threes with under a minute left, cutting it to 4 after back to back stops. I then got another steal, which turned the shot clock off. My teammate launched it to our SF who was crashing out and not running back on defense. He bricked the wide open three. I got the offensive board, and had inside position on the big. (I'm PF) I went up, got the fastest close shot in history, very late tightly contested, but the big was facing the freethrowline and jumping away from me. I'm on the ground, ball hangs on the rim for about 4 seconds, and they dunk it with about 4 seconds left to seal it up 6. I then hit another 3 with 0.9 on the clock, and we got an inbound steal. Unfortunately we didn't have a timeout to reset it and clock expired. All this to say, I had like 12 pts or so with a minute left, then finished with 21. But missed a what I believe should've been a wide open layup to close us to one possession and play the freethrow game.
I've tried defending this game for the first few months, but this trash ass game just gets worse and worse... I will be selling my console and staying on PC to play actual good games.
The 3rd Quarter on 2k is 100% RNG. Literally 2k takes control of your player to make sure the other team has a fair chance to catch up or take the lead. The question is why 🤷🏿♂️.
Having a meta makes anything else unplayable by definition. Being at a significant disadvantage because you want to simulate a real life basketball playstyle is never going to happen as long as there is a meta. I don't see any 6'4'' and shorter players in the top 5 scorers this season, yet in 2k that is what is meta. 2K is catering to a minority of high end gamers at the demise of the majority of casual gamers. The end result is a game that does not simulate real life basketball.

I just made a center granted it’s a 60 enough for bronze interceptor but I can’t get a steal between a center and a guard if they’re both on the blocks and everytime I make someone miss a layup or a dunk it goes in anyway and I block shots and they go in what am I doing wrong?

Yes and sometimes your player jumps multiple times after pressing jump once. Attempting a steal about ½second after pressing the button.
They need to just drop a remaster of an old 2k and start from 16 on up until they get it right

I thought 2k said they were gonna make the court bigger ? People can still play 2-3 and keep the big in the paint and not play honest defense
To many issues in this game truthfully . And I have an 80+ win percentage in park , 90+ in rec , and ranked top 300 in proving ground 5s in season 1-3 so I ain’t complaining, but this game is atrocious
A random 3 overtime game is plausible. Happen to me earlier in the year it’s just a part of the game
It happened every game in the rec yesterday, it was dumb but not unexpected. Maybe pigs will fly and the devs will respond to all the negative feedback they're getting after asking for it, but I won't hold my breath.

Yesterday I was in rec, we choked a 4pts lead in the 4th and were down 10 with less than a minute left. I hit 2 back to back threes with under a minute left, cutting it to 4 after back to back stops.
I then got another steal, which turned the shot clock off. My teammate launched it to our SF who was crashing out and not running back on defense. He bricked the wide open three. I got the offensive board, and had inside position on the big. (I'm PF) I went up, got the fastest close shot in history, very late tightly contested, but the big was facing the freethrowline and jumping away from me. I'm on the ground, ball hangs on the rim for about 4 seconds, and they dunk it with about 4 seconds left to seal it up 6. I then hit another 3 with 0.9 on the clock, and we got an inbound steal. Unfortunately we didn't have a timeout to reset it and clock expired.
All this to say, I had like 12 pts or so with a minute left, then finished with 21. But missed a what I believe should've been a wide open layup to close us to one possession and play the freethrow game.

The 3rd Quarter on 2k is 100% RNG. Literally 2k takes control of your player to make sure the other team has a fair chance to catch up or take the lead. The question is why 🤷🏿♂️.

Having a meta makes anything else unplayable by definition. Being at a significant disadvantage because you want to simulate a real life basketball playstyle is never going to happen as long as there is a meta. I don't see any 6'4'' and shorter players in the top 5 scorers this season, yet in 2k that is what is meta. 2K is catering to a minority of high end gamers at the demise of the majority of casual gamers. The end result is a game that does not simulate real life basketball.

I just made a center granted it’s a 60 enough for bronze interceptor but I can’t get a steal between a center and a guard if they’re both on the blocks and everytime I make someone miss a layup or a dunk it goes in anyway and I block shots and they go in what am I doing wrong?
They gotta stop giving handicaps to the people who can’t play. Grinding to actually get good at the game makes the game better for everyone

If they playing great defense than RNG is great, if you are wide open green window. Playing bad defense should not be rewarded
I tried low risk shooting after high risk crom day 1 and i cant do it. Yes i might make some whites and green some but i make way more greens more on high risk. Could be all mental but ima stick with high risk

All city the block was considered weak coverage because he was not in his vicinity when he gathered to start the shot , he got the block because of his wingspan and block attribute plus challenger , if he didn’t have those buddy probably would have scored.
