Thank you so much for the link to my channel and vid, Gav - hugely appreciated 😊🙏
Best wishes,

@ no problemo 👍
Wow, Gav! That was as brilliant as I knew it would be! I salute you, sir! 🫡 👏
I loved all your picks, but was so impressed to see ‘Electro-Shock Blues’ getting its due (and very cool indeed you own it on vinyl); ‘I Know Very Well How I Got My Name’ was a masterful choice; your story behind the Tracy Chapman pick was engaging and expertly told; and I got a bit emotional myself when ‘When Love Breaks Down’ made its appearance… such a beautiful song that gets better and better.
A truly awesome video, and many thanks once again for doing it 🙏
Best wishes,
Christian
Cheers Christian - thanks for such lovely comments! 👍🫡🇬🇧

@@gavaxemanspins My pleasure! Your video was brilliant 😊
Nice response Gav. Your comment about Mazzy Star being used in Netflix American dramas reminds me of a mini-rant video I was going to do a while back. What I tend to find these days is that I struggle to get into any new bands or artists, as whenever I hear songs by them I'm immediately just put in mind of Netflix drama, as if the music has been deliberately designed to get onto one of those shows. It's a modern malaise. Good call on showing Eels, I'm a fan and have seen them live a few times. Mark Everett's book is worth a read if you haven't already. Good call on showing 'Regret' by New Order, should have thought of that one. A band I haven't seen come up yet in anyone's tags for that 'sad but can dance to it' is 'Everything by the Girl', surprisingly.
Cheers James - forgot about EBTG too! They were massive in the late 90’s
