Every time I see a Beatles tag, I am ashamed of my Beatles collection. I like them, but I have a strange very and small collection. On the other hand, I do enjoy watching the replies. You have many things that I have never seen before!

Lovely stuff Gav. I never liked pic discs. Going back to about 81 I had a pic disc of Pepper .German pressing I tried to play it atrocious sound.

Nice response Gav. I went to Uni in 1989 and my admission that I was into the Beatles was met with incredulity. I bet a lot of those same people were listening to Oasis a few years later.

Great tag video Gav. really enjoyed this. Great shout on Baby You're A rich Man. Ive seen a few of these tag videos and not seen anyone give that one a shout. It's certainly better than the A side. Have to say I hated Oasis' version of I am the Walrus but take your point re Anthology. I also love You Know my name lol. It's off its head an old track from 1967. They had split by the time the Let it be single came out so I doubt anyone could be arsed to select. max do overdubs etc on something from the Get back sessions. I found them in the mid 70s so I call myself a second generation fan so I guess if a generation is say 20 years you're probably a second gen fan too from the 80s. Another oversight, that I may have mentioned last time, is that I have never read a Stephen King book. It certainly looks like King is a Bob Dylan fan!

This will come in handy becaue I have nothing from them at all! I am not sure how that happened.

Interesting idea for a series! I always loved discovering the songs in Kings books to see if I knew them. Salems Lot was the first movie I saw at my aunts when I was about 5. My mum was raging and sister had nightmares about it for years! It’s one of the only early books that I’ve never read. “It” was my first and has remained my favourite since I was a teenager. The last one I read was The Institute, but haven’t read a whole lot of his later stuff.

I applaud you and salute you, sir on this absolutely outstanding video 👏🫡 The way in which you navigated this discography was so skilful, graceful, heartfelt and informative that I am going to rewatch it later this evening. Your passion for this magnificent band is evident and your ranking was perfect. Your top three are exactly as I would rank them; your spotlight on ‘William’s Last Words’ was a truly moving tribute to Richey and his bandmates; your opinion on ‘GATS’ being a half-great album is spot on (I think that’s the case with ‘TIMTTMY’ as well); and you name-checked my two favourite songs on ‘KYE’. This video serves as both an essential introduction to new fans of the Manics, and a hugely impressive overview for the older fans. Hey Gav, missed your sad basturt tag in a sea of tags. Oooooft…. what a beauty of an opening track. Fade Into You is a perfect song! Though maybe overplayed now, used to brilliant effect in Beyond Sunrise. Great scene. That’s less to do with sadness and used more to soundtrack the discovering of luuuurve. I sold Rattlesnakes last year and thinking maybe I should have given Loyd longer to work his magic. Tried a few times to get into it and hasn’t really hit home. Great pick with Heartbreaker! What a dream to live 4 doors from a cinema. Vincent Spatula 😂😂😂 Tremendous 😂😂😂 Great movie… and definitely not a kids movie! Electro Shock Blues is the only Eels album I’ve really got into. Great video. I saw them live a few times in the 90s but after Richey was gone. Journal for Plague Lovers would be top 3 for me i reckon but I haven't kept up with them at all. That was the last one I heard I think and the only one I have on LP. Cheers

But you’re right, holy bible is absolutely unique, not just in their catalogue but for anybody. You have to ask yourself how the hell they got there from GATS?!!

Happy new year Gav, good to see you clearing the December inbox, I wish I could. I was lucky enough to find the first 4 Cars LPs all together in Oxfam a couple of years back. Really getting into OMD at the moment. Good to see a bit of Magnum, I saw one of their records out in the wild the other day, the one with a unicorn (?) on the cover. Here's to another year of digging.
