It will be nice if Cat have a computer that you can set the bucket with its teeth on the asphalt and 0’ and it will inform the operator how many feet the teeth is below 0’ grade when you are working on gas lines. The operator will know exact the feet it scratches the concrete to inform the pipe layer when then want a operator to clean up around the pipe. The operator feels for rocks and change of soil. If we can look at the computer we know at the depth we encounter a different material.

Marketing wank. So it's got a new cab, and sheet metal. None hydraulic expandable undercarriage. 20 hp bump doesn't offset 5 ton of machine. Of course boom and stick are redesigned. Cat had some problems, especially behind boom cylinder area. Cab avoidance!! That's called an operator. Looks like cat is building machines for drivers. Driving equipment into the ground. Unless machine uses technology, to save itself. But it does have two 12v chargers in cab, I'm sold.
Theoretically yes, but most mine companies find a way to get gps installed on large equipment now. Is it programmed effectively, I belive I have seen gps systems installed on almost every piece of equipment imaginable and most are down to 1-3 thousandths.

Funny thing is I’m pretty sure the 345 has the same digging depth and if you’re putting in sewer boxes that need something this big props to you
Have seen it in action pretty sweet machine, talked to the operator said it is way better than the 390

Just worked on a 390F and the c18 in it said “made in China “ all over it literally!

This one here as it is, up to 5.2m³. And with the Mass Excavator arrangement up to 7.1m³.

Unfortunately they don’t have the new JegmTech engine technology in this Cat.
