i love how Ben says "the boys would love that" "the boys would eat anything on sticks" it's like he's a mother making dinner for her picky sons, i love Ben hahaha
Make them eat surströmming next time. I grew up in the harsh north and it still took me eleven years to get used to the stuff, but you learn to like the smell eventually. Taste is the really hard part, but it is perfect revenge food! Just make sure to not get it on any clothing or furniture, it can take a while to get the smell out.
To all those who was as confused as I was with regards to Ben's operation and the subsequent...python shortening, here's what happened. Last fridgecam, the guys were joking about Ben's operation. He was just out of the studio, not getting an operation due to Barry's berries. Then this week, when Ben tried to explain what happened, (likely) Mike edited the video in such a way that Ben didn't manage to get the original point across. ;) Just putting it out there to others who were as lost as I was and had to google 'ben operation sorted food' to figure out what happened. :p
Hi guys just want to say love the show and has inspired me to get into the kitchen and make foods with my family, well done guys keep up the brilliant work
In the Philippines, we eat something called Dinuguan, which is a pork's blood soup and the meat that we put in it is the leftover pork cuts (like ear, cheek, tripe, whatever throw it in). It's flavoured with vinegar and chili peppers (if you like it spicy), it's pretty good when done correctly.
If you are making a video like this one, on 2016, my suggestions are: -Iguana. In a stew. With potatoes. It tastes like the snake, it's quit chewy as well, but delicious with tomatoes and onions. -Empanada de Vizcacha. Like in your recipe of the argentinian dish. Is a very soft and sweet meat. Quite delicious. Better than cow meat. -Chinchulin. Ben: you should check that out. We make it on the grill. -Morcilla: is the coagulated blood of pig made sausage with cow or pig bowels. To cook on a grill or a pan. And yes. I'm from Argentina. Please, punish them. :D
This is my favorite exotic meat party episode. The first two were much more entertaining for me than the third one because of all the interesting recipes
"the best revenge is ravioli." Actually, If 'Revenge is sweet' and 'Revenge is a dish best served cold." then wouldn't revenge be counted as Ice Cream?
well, I have insomnia more often that not, I'm getting used to get 'fresh' fridgecams since it's now 6:45am in Brazil, and they usually upload around 6am
In Japan, they use fish livers to make sauces for foods. At a sushi place once, I had the fish liver by itself. It came in a tin and was cut into wedges. It wasn't made into a pate but was just livers. Very tasty. Also sea urchin, the higher quality, which you can tell by the color, has a very unique taste, which I quite like.
Those little disclaimers made me chuckle. "Barry, Ben, Jamie and Mike are not eating Rudolph in THIS episode of Fridgecam" Sick and twisted me wants to find out in which episode they are going to eat Rudolph
@sortedfood Ben, the best revenge food is weird Ashkenazi food i.e. Kiskas which is mostly intestine and gefilte fish which can be good but a very aquired taste, it's a kind of pickley horseradishy white fish balls. And tsimis which is stewed fruit. Also noodle kugel which is just weird (I'm a potato kugel girl) also it's just fun to watch Gentiles try Jewish food!
All your videos are amazing but this one by far had me laughing so hard I was crying along with Barry when he ate the python lol Barry my friend your reactions are by far the best! Love you sorted food!
Not sure if you are still looking for . . . exotic meats, but I want to tell you about the two I do not eat. Seng gan (raw liver) usually flavored with sesame oil and salt, served with cow stomach, and hongeo (fermented skate) which smells . . . well bad (very bad) hail from my native korean land. You know, if you ever want to torture the lads with something . . . exotic.
Lydia-eve H, Jamie did marketing for an automobile manufacturer. Interestingly, he and one other (can't recall which) kept full time jobs for some time while building up the channel.
I feel that if Danisnotonfire was to see the part where they eat the llama meat, he would just cry and roll around the floor then go into an existential crisis for quite some time.
came back to watch this...and i still laughed at everything. LOVE YOU GUYS! :) and i still haven't figured out what Ben's operation was...i'm starting to think there wasn't one at all...
I love the new set! Also, do you guys plan to bring back the old table? Back in older videos, you lads would sit on some sort of picnic table, and eat a dish and I loved that. The back wall (With the wood) reminded me of that. :)
Last night I had a thought that there might be ostrich meat in today's fridgecam and it turns out there is! I'm loving the new set! At first I thought you were in someone else's studio. I can't believe they edited the words that you were about to say, Ben. :(
breakevenize Lol... nothing happened... I was away doing live cooking demos at the Goodwood Revival. I fear, though, that this might become another Tyrone incident... i.e. one big joke at my expense! :S
SORTED Food thanks for the reply! You know I was starting to worry that Tyrone might have had an accident or something and you just wanted to keep it a secret. Glad your both well!
Loving the fact that the boys are trusting you Ben with the foods, next time please do something more gruesome to get you're own back at them because they really do deserve it! Also, loving the fact that at the end they thought it was balls or eye balls and yet they still ate it!
Corinn Heathers Oh, I forgot about the cloned meat! Yea, I'd be happy eating lab grown meat. Still though, I'd be willing to try ants and crickets. I hear ants taste like nothing and crickets taste like almond. And, of course, I love crabs and lobster and shrimp.
David Wu Raising livestock is terribly wasteful, but I think we'll be able to figure out how to directly culture muscle tissue efficiently. The best part is under such tight control, it may even be possible to make it taste vastly better than anything ever taken off a live animal.
Corinn Heathers I concur! I can't wait to taste lab grown meat that's been fine tuned to be the best tasting cut of steak you'll ever have in your entire life. And, on top of that, they might be able to engineer it to have stuff like anti-inflammatory agents stuff. Eat meat, save the world, AND get healthier at the same time!
reindeer is actually pretty stupid popular here in Alaska. there was a food truck at a food truck rodeo type thing that was selling reindeer corn dogs, and they completely sold out in 10 minutes. insane. i've never had it, but it looked pretty good done how Ben cooked it!
Here in Louisiana, we have a great fondness for boiled crawfish (or my favorite, crawfish etouffee), and fried alligator (done in the style of popcorn chicken). Delicious, and from what I understand, pretty unique to Louisiana! (:
Hi guys, I'm so amazed with your work, I just went to a food tasting this afternoon and it was mind blowing as it was entirely canapé menu based. Thrilled that I was and inspired I thought of you tubing some canapé recipes and I found you'll.. Firstly the unusual meat that I can recommend are frog legs and secondly you'll must check out elements catering dubai just as reference. Thank you for your videos. . Chao chao
If you want something unusual, but surprisingly healthy, you should try nattō. It's a Japanase dish that's basically just fermented soybeans. I have to agree that it really does not look that appetizing (it has a very slimy texture and look), and it has a very strong flavour and smell, but it is regarded as a delicacy there. I have never tried it before, but judgement-wsie it is probably like blue cheese: Either you love it, or you hate it,
Jake Gordy First; this kind of cracked me up x) Second: Yes, it's yummy! Here in Norway, it's supercheap as well, compared to ''normal'' meats :) Half the price or less.
I love goat curry. I've only ever had it at this one fast casual Indian place off the highway and it was SO GOOD for a place that I went into with REALLY low expectations.
I have a couple suggestions for more exotic meats to try- if you'll have them! In Russia, especially St Petersburg, bear is quite the delicatessen &- I've found- has similar flavors to venison, but gamier. Also, here in the United States, emu is just as dark & lean as beef with a milder flavor compound. Lastly, I'm not sure if you've had it before, but wild boar bacon is wonderful!
When I cook ANY unfamiliar meat for the first time, I lightly season it with salt and pepper, then saute it in butter (only a few bites) so I can get an idea how it cooks, what it tastes like, texture, and what other flavors will go with it. I also tend to do something like that with unfamiliar veges, but I rarely cook fruit. Knowing beforehand that the snake meat in this video came from constrictors, I'd probably end up poaching or slow-roasting it, because the meat is obviously going to be tough! I'd still do my test for the other elements, but it's not like they sell that meat for human consumption around where I live. I'd have to travel quite a distance or have it shipped to me at prices I can't afford :p I really think you might want to try Townsends recipe for duck or potted hare or pigeon in a hole for the constrictor snake, or other tough meats. Um, Townsends is also a YT channel, but they cook from the 18th century mostly, or have other topics from the same time period... They do show other historical sites that do reenactments from the same time period, from gun makers to distillers to other cooks, it's amazing! I would suggest you start with "Planked Shad" for a good idea of how they work, then look for the duck/hare/pigeon (he used rabbit instead of hare, and cornish hens instead of pigeon). If you are anything like me, you will end up watching more videos than you planned to, and still want more even though you don't have the time!
Hi! I was born and raised in the Philippines (but now lives in LA). One of the favorites and a very common dish is called Dinuguan. It involves pig blood and it really is tasty! Due to its color, people refer to it as "chocolate meat" and it's a good way to deceive people, haha! You should let them try it, Ben! :D
In Norway, or atleast in my household, Reindeer, Elk and Goat/Kid are served far often than beef and pork. Also, please make them eat Rakefisk, that would be a joy to watch!
Hey, you could make a stomach festival: Haggis (out of sheep) Buchada de bode (out of goat, a Brazilian dish) Dobradinha (out of cow, another Brazilian treat) Honestly, these can be marvelous if cooked properly. Plus, you get to fill in the stomachs with all kinds of spices!
Don't know if you've ever tried kangaroo but if not you should, it's amaaaazing! There was an australian restaurant arround here that made the best kangaroo hamburguers, well the best hamburguers I've tried, better than beef, pork, fish whatever, my mouth is salivating now!
Here in the States, Rocky Mountain Oysters (bull, pig or sheep testicles) are popular in the Midwest - I haven't tried them yet, but I do want to. Oh, and cow stomach is a delicacy in Chinese cuisine - chewy but still tasty.Speaking of Chinese cuisine, the dried flying lizards in the herbal shops always creeped me out, but the fried cockroaches remind me of popcorn. Love these episodes! :)
You should try Bongo, its a weird antelope/deer thing from Africa. Its almost like pork... And interesting take on the llama, I raise alpacas and have friends who regularly have llama meat (though I never have...)!
There's a place where I live called Sammy's Wild Game Grill and I had a kangaroo burger there. It had the taste of venison which was on their menu as well. They also offered llama and caiman for their special meats when I went though I didn't notice it until I ordered. :-/ I had a bite of their rabbit and veal sausage dog and it was really good. You never know what will taste good until you try it. Funny enough they also offer python chili!
The best way to cook crocodile or snake meats is putting lots of fresh herbs or spices. Stir fried crocodile tail with fresh chili and basil with a bowl of warm rice...yummm
Hot git/ga lon!! Vietnamese delicacy, it is when the egg of the chicken (or duck!) is partially formed! Everything is eaten but the hard white part in the egg and eaten with a coffee spoon straight from the egg with salt, pepper and basil!
I'm not sure if these meats are common in The UK but I live in the states & my brothers quite enjoy lengus in burritos which is beef tounge. We also eat venison (deer) quite often it is a very lean meat and Elk is also eaten quite often. You could even do a seafood version and do Flounder, Red Drum, Shark, crawfish(other names include crayfish, mudbugs, crawdads, freshwater lobster)
Ok thanks where I'm from it's quite common but I live in a rural area so someone from a more metropolitan area may find venison exotic even though deer may live close to them. Nice to know it's not as strange over there considering that it is quite a healthy red meat if such can be said
*serious face* "if I eat a penguin, in going to be so angry with you." Hahahaha
priceless!
"Delightful canapé treats!" should be Ben's catchphrase when he goes out and fights crime or something.
The title of the video could mean something else, but still a great video chaps
LMAOOOOOO !!!!!!
I thought it was erotic meat party
Omg lmao!
ChristianXTroll Dota Omg I thought that too! Ahahaha
"Exotic" "meat"
They will eat meatballs, they love it on sticks... Ben, you sound like their mother.
HE IS THE GROUP MOM
And in this video they do act like kids.
I know Ben’s pain. I constantly feel like the group mom and the baby at the same time.
"The best revenge is raviolli." I finally understand Ben! It's because you can't see what's inside, LOL. Evil butthead.
i love how Ben says "the boys would love that" "the boys would eat anything on sticks" it's like he's a mother making dinner for her picky sons, i love Ben hahaha
For a bunch of adorable grown men, they sure do act like adorable little babies.
Make them eat surströmming next time. I grew up in the harsh north and it still took me eleven years to get used to the stuff, but you learn to like the smell eventually. Taste is the really hard part, but it is perfect revenge food! Just make sure to not get it on any clothing or furniture, it can take a while to get the smell out.
how even do you cook with it
I'm dying, the end when he talked about his operation and they switched the words I was laughing so hard. #takebarryinstead
Literally blushing over here! These are perfect to add to any party. You did it again guys! Thank you!
"It's oozing!"
"Shut up!"
Well, I think we're almost due for the third incarnation soon. But do I have to wait until September?
TheOrgano today! #3
To all those who was as confused as I was with regards to Ben's operation and the subsequent...python shortening, here's what happened. Last fridgecam, the guys were joking about Ben's operation. It's been seven years since you posted this, i am going to be the first to say thank you :-) i hope you have been well!
Did u ever find of about bens operation?
I literally just googled this and very much appreciate your comment.
Hi guys just want to say love the show and has inspired me to get into the kitchen and make foods with my family, well done guys keep up the brilliant work

I SAW YESTERDAY IT WAS BRILL! Here's to 2018!
So that means this year we getting another one
Love the throwbacks:) Love your show! Hello from SA!!
"...are not eating Rudolph in THIS episode of FridgeCam." Next week, boys?
In the Philippines, we eat something called Dinuguan, which is a pork's blood soup and the meat that we put in it is the leftover pork cuts (like ear, cheek, tripe, whatever throw it in). It's flavoured with vinegar and chili peppers (if you like it spicy), it's pretty good when done correctly.

And yes. I'm from Argentina. Please, punish them. :D
Please can we get an exotic meat party in 2016!
England has morcilla, it's called blood pudding. Not all that exotic :p Innards are really not that exotic, they eat them all over the world.
This is the best British group ive ever watched. You are so funny and I watch you every day. Keep making videos ;) ^-^
"This smells like swamp" 😂 did he say that or am I deaf 😂
Dominique Nylande
I love this video. It makes me happy to see the guys go through a little discomfort after all the stuff that we have seen Ben put up with.
Either you picked that title VERY carefully, or with no care at all...
The Craft Beer Channel You'll never know! :D (although you can probably guess)
Queentophat Can't argue with that logic!
It's 2 am here and I'm beyond tired but I had to stay up because I couldn't to to sleep without seeing the new fridge cam
Same
well, I have insomnia more often that not, I'm getting used to get 'fresh' fridgecams since it's now 6:45am in Brazil, and they usually upload around 6am
who stopped every time and replayed for the disclaimers? or is that just me
In Japan, they use fish livers to make sauces for foods. At a sushi place once, I had the fish liver by itself. It came in a tin and was cut into wedges. It wasn't made into a pate but was just livers. Very tasty. Also sea urchin, the higher quality, which you can tell by the color, has a very unique taste, which I quite like.

"Barry, Ben, Jamie and Mike are not eating Rudolph in THIS episode of Fridgecam"
Sick and twisted me wants to find out in which episode they are going to eat Rudolph
Yum! Lucky guys, getting to try such a variety of meats!
Please do another one of these for 2016!!
I never get tired of watching these Exotic Meat videos :D
I wonder what Ben was originally going to say before it was edited.
That is some bloody excellent editing! haha bravo!
that moment when you realise they just ate kuzco
OHMYGODS NO MY CHILDHOOD WAS JUST FLUSHED DOWN THE TOILET
Oh man. Kuzco always appear in my head whenever someone says lama too xD
now i really want ben to make spinach puffs
***** Yeah, weird....
SpinnyChair SPINACH PUFFS!!! DO IT SORTED Food
The lads got lucky! Goat, reindeer and ostrich can be absolutely amazing, and I would dive in the snake ravioli as well
@sortedfood Ben, the best revenge food is weird Ashkenazi food i.e.
I watch this every time I'm in need of a laugh. Mostly for Barry's reactions.
You should try serving them Lutefisk or maybe Gravlaks!
OH MY GOD PLEASE NO LUTEFISK!!!! THATS NIGHTMARE FOOD!!
Hahahha, Lutefisk is the worst.
I really thought that was going to be one of them!
Yes Lutefisk!
surstrømming..?
All your videos are amazing but this one by far had me laughing so hard I was crying along with Barry when he ate the python lol Barry my friend your reactions are by far the best! Love you sorted food!
Not sure if you are still looking for . . . exotic meats, but I want to tell you about the two I do not eat.
Seng gan (raw liver) usually flavored with sesame oil and salt, served with cow stomach, and hongeo (fermented skate) which smells . . . well bad (very bad) hail from my native korean land. You know, if you ever want to torture the lads with something . . . exotic.
Wow, they sound... delicious...? Thanks for the suggestions!
You should also try Alpaca.. try it with lemon it is really quite tasty.
dracarys666 I think the most extreme thing to feed them is silkworm pupae!😖😥
Kitty Pan My dad (Korean) says it was delicious.. They sold it like street food, in little bags, apparently.
Catching up on your episodes!! Reindeer is caribou. Lovely! Have you tried moose, or lynx? I have! Used to live in the Yukon, Canada!!
Was Mike a teacher before Sorted? I expect a lot from you guys, but never mr Mike in front of kids😂
He was a music teacher, I think he went and taught at the high school he actually went to.
Yes and Barry was/still is a photographer and Ben used to work in a restaurant I don't know about jamie
Lydia-eve H, Jamie did marketing for an automobile manufacturer. Interestingly, he and one other (can't recall which) kept full time jobs for some time while building up the channel.
Bas Leurink, why? I think Mike would be great with kids.
Mike's expressions were on point today! Especially when Jamie released his goat joke
I feel that if Danisnotonfire was to see the part where they eat the llama meat, he would just cry and roll around the floor then go into an existential crisis for quite some time.
Make this comment of the week :D
Yesss #commentoftheweek
No :(
I knew I'd find my people here!
Llama is delicious it's better than pork
came back to watch this...and i still laughed at everything. LOVE YOU GUYS! :) and i still haven't figured out what Ben's operation was...i'm starting to think there wasn't one at all...
Who tried to stop the video a million times just to c the disclaimer? I DID!!!
Burger shop near me in Bristol sells both ostrich and springbok burgers!
here in the north of sweden we eat reindeer often
And sometimes in the south as well, though I don't think I've seen anything else than renskav in the stores.
haha
Dennis Josefsson ren innanlår är ju nice!
It actually looks quite good.
We eat it in Norway too :)
I love the new set! Also, do you guys plan to bring back the old table? Back in older videos, you lads would sit on some sort of picnic table, and eat a dish and I loved that. The back wall (With the wood) reminded me of that. :)
Ben: Gonna make Ravioli
Me: Ravioli ravioli its time to kill the titanolis~
Ravioli, ravioli, what's in the pocketoli
Last night I had a thought that there might be ostrich meat in today's fridgecam and it turns out there is! I'm loving the new set! At first I thought you were in someone else's studio. I can't believe they edited the words that you were about to say, Ben. :(
Hahah, poor Ben. Will we ever find out what actually happened?
breakevenize Lol... nothing happened...
Reindeer is amazing!!! I had it on my trip to Norway wish I could find it in America but I have a feeling my family would object.
We have pigeons in Hong Kong, and let's just say that locals love to pig-eon them :P #terriblepuns #dontkillmepls
Ahhh i love a good roast pigeon and great pun btw you deserve a medal ;)
pigeon is like the best poultry dude i commend you, I didn't think of that.
Loving the fact that the boys are trusting you Ben with the foods, next time please do something more gruesome to get you're own back at them because they really do deserve it! Also, loving the fact that at the end they thought it was balls or eye balls and yet they still ate it!
You should feed them insects Ben! Considering just how unsustainable the practice of raising meat is, insects are the future of protein!
I'd rather eat cloned meat than bugs. Except maybe water bugs. Mmm lobster.

David Wu I'm a science fiction author. I think about these kind of things all the time. :D

Here in Louisiana, we have a great fondness for boiled crawfish (or my favorite, crawfish etouffee), and fried alligator (done in the style of popcorn chicken). Delicious, and from what I understand, pretty unique to Louisiana! (:
I'm sad you guys aren't in suits like the last exotic meat video. 😢
Hi guys, I'm so amazed with your work, I just went to a food tasting this afternoon and it was mind blowing as it was entirely canapé menu based. Goat isn't exotic at all. And it tastes just like lamb. Most people can't tell the two apart.
I love you guys so much!
Did anyone else get the "real come-fort food thing"? No? I just have a dirty mind? Okay.
You guys are makes cooking interesting!!
Reindeer is fucking delicious.
I would happily try ALL of these things. I used to be a vegetarian.
Jake Gordy First; this kind of cracked me up x)
Second: Yes, it's yummy! Here in Norway, it's supercheap as well, compared to ''normal'' meats :) Half the price or less.
+Jake Gordy Sami person here! Basically grew up on reindeer and there are so many variations you can do with it, and it's amazing
Loving the editing skills.... well done!
if theres another there should be vegetarian "meat" and see what animals they think theycomefrom
I love goat curry. I've only ever had it at this one fast casual Indian place off the highway and it was SO GOOD for a place that I went into with REALLY low expectations.
Also OSTRICH STEAK IS FANTASTIC but I don't know where to get it
ive had goat in hot pot before. its quite more chewy than cow actually. delicious tho :)
llama... danisnotonfire....hmmmmmmm
I have a couple suggestions for more exotic meats to try- if you'll have them! I just had porcupine last week. Some people in Malaysia do but it isn't as common. And man, was it good!
gonna miss the old series but looking forward to the new ones! :D the end of this video though xD
You guys make me laugh. Thank you!

I had stewed mule when I was in Guangzhou, China. It was surprisingly delightful :)
This video is hilarious I adore you guys
I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS.
In Norway, or atleast in my household, Reindeer, Elk and Goat/Kid are served far often than beef and pork.
Also, please make them eat Rakefisk, that would be a joy to watch!
Goat especially minced is very common here, it's quite delicious and can be juicier then beef depending on the cut
Hey, you could make a stomach festival:

Buchada de bode (out of goat, a Brazilian dish)
Dobradinha (out of cow, another Brazilian treat)

Barry was like 'I DONT WANT NO RAVIOLI BEN UH.' 😂
Enjoyed the video guys! Thnx!
I love Ostrich! I haven't had it for years but its very tasty
You should try Bongo, its a weird antelope/deer thing from Africa. Its almost like pork... And interesting take on the llama, I raise alpacas and have friends who regularly have llama meat (though I never have...)!
"IT'S OOZING!" "SHUT UP!" - i swear that just made me snarf my coffee. bwahahahaaaaa...
You should do antelope. I've had it once and it was surprisingly delicious.
"we ate rudolph" hahaha jamie's took the words right out of my mouth!
Please do another one of these!!!!!!!
They have venison in the UK but it's not as common to eat. They have a video on Venison pie!
Ok thanks where I'm from it's quite common but I live in a rural area so someone from a more metropolitan area may find venison exotic even though deer may live close to them. Nice to know it's not as strange over there considering that it is quite a healthy red meat if such can be said
