    I love how even though Ben is taking revenge on the others, he still sticks the sprig of mint on the durian like it somehow makes it taste any better.

      but durians tastes like heaven! if you disregard the smell

    • @voidbean
      @voidbean 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +IgniteBurningIce Nah bruh, durians are *nasty*.
      Heh, well actually it's a really polarising fruit so it depends on preference. Durians are local where I live so durian season is hell for me.

    • @IgniteBurningIce
      @IgniteBurningIce 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      +Dalia Ng wish I lived where you do! I think some people dislike the smell, some people dislike the mushy texture...tried frozen durian? The smell and the texture both change.

      If you want some from Norway. Smalahovud (Sheeps head), Cod head, and Lutefisk (Fish preserved in Lye). Personally I don't like the last one, but Smalahovud is actually pretty damn amazing, except I didn't have the guts to eat the eye like you are supposed to.

    dangg you guys are weak!! That stuff is quite basic and normal......Ben if you are looking to really torture your bullies, I recommend Duck Blood, Stinky Tofu (this is the worse, i promise), Bitter Melon, Salty Fish, Preserved Egg...

      StoneOfMoon For durian, most people are in two extremes, many people love it soooo much, and the rest of people hate it and think it is awful, just few people are in neutral. But i recommend you can have a try~

    LOL To Barry, Mike and Jamie. More than half the time...those dried products (shrimp and etc) are cooked in someway before you eat it. Good job Ben, made them eat dried usually-unedible products xD And chicken feet are yummy. As well as durian :3 Along with pig intestines ;D

    Cow brain or as we call it here in Brazil "miolo". My mom used to make miolo when I was growing up and I have to admit it tasted pretty good.
    Or cow stomach stew with white beans and smoked sausages ("bucho"). It smells terrible when you first cook the stomach but then when the dish is ready, it's really delicious.

    IDK if anyone has mentioned this already, but as a quick and extremely late note, those tiny shrimp are actually mostly boiled out for a soup base instead of being eaten straight. At least, to my knowledge. In Vietnamese cuisine, they're used for a lot of basic soups. Sour crab noodles is a more popular recipe that makes use of it.

    I like the idea of people doing this with all of the parts of the animal deemed 'useless'.
    I don't like people wasting some perfectly fine and edible parts of an animal. Especially after the sacrifice just to get SOME of the meat from that animal. So these parts before cooked and eaten are better than being completely disregarded in my opinion.

  • @jiathewanderingwriter
    @jiathewanderingwriter 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Fish Maw is actually really good. You have to soak it in water first to puff it up. It's dried here. It commonly goes into soup. My mum always stuffs it with minced pork, diced carrots and fish paste and cooks it in the soup. Delish.

    There is always the option of Bull Fries or Lamb Fries, but if you are looking for something a little bit more delicate there is Wyoming Pudding. If you are feeling especially adventurous like my uncle, there is jack rabbit, dove, pigeon, bison, and many other varieties of wild game. All of these can be found in Wyoming though I'm not entirely sure you can find them in England.

    dried shrimps are meant to season soup....you could eat em just like that but you should down em with beer....
    again a fish maw.. its meant to crunch up soup. its a cheap ass thing to eat anyways. its again a beer side.
    duck tongue again its suppose to be eaten with beer! its a fine on its own
    chicken feet. its suppose to be eaten with beer! god damn it did you pick all the stuff that are bar snacks?
    the last thing its a prized fruit in south part of Asia.if made into sweets its like heaven on earth.
    you guys should really go to china or some place to try what chinese and Asian food is really like. how you chose your food and how you did not use them as they would be best but rather giving em a image of this is weird and uneatable.

    • @Alice-dp8fr
      @Alice-dp8fr 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know why you're getting so offended. Their culture is not used to that food, so they personally didn't like it. Yes, food is a large part of culture. But they're not saying that an entire culture is terrible, they're just saying that those particular foods prepared in those particular ways were terrible, in their OPINION.

    • @Alice-dp8fr
      @Alice-dp8fr 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    In Iceland, you could get Hákarl or kæstur hákarl, which is fermented shark. I don't know how you could get it in other countries, but my best friend had me try some in Iceland. It has a very strong smell, but it isn't that bad...

    You boys definitely have to try the Japanese delicacy called "shirako". There is this other dish from Iceland I've only heard about, I can't quite remember what it's called but it's shark that was buried for 6 months, hung to cure and chopped into little squares that look like sugar cubes. I'd REALLY like to see you eat that!!! ;)

    Interestingly enough, although Durian is the traditional fruit of Thailand and famously so, it is prohibited to bring it in public transport and certain buildings as well (esp. hotels and government establishments) because of its "dirty sock" smell. It does, I've heard, have an incredibly good taste once you get past the smell.

    Vegemite, maybe? You may not be able to get it where you guys are, but I highly recommend traditional Indigenous Australian Outback foods. Things like the Honey Ant, or the Witchetty Grub.
    Perhaps it's because I am Chinese, but I actually like all of those foods. Probably not Durian though, because I'm allergic to it.

    actually, on chicken feet it's not fat, just the skin, which cooked and softened during the cooking.
