I've seen a lot of reviews and nobody seems to touch on the fact that they got rid of the proximity sensor too.
Because it was just another stupid gimmick That was more of a nuisance than helpful.
@@youtubeuser5424 especially on the 3. If you held it and just the right position, It would just blink on and off. It got annoying.
@@youtubeuser5424 which is also why you would think they would mention getting rid of it.
@@michaelkeeney1637 lol companies don’t generally admit to things they produce that don’t end up being very popular.
@@michaelkeeney1637quietly sweeping it under the rug. This is corpo', b×tch.
Nah fr ion like light for some reason. They seem a bit odd to me compared to something sensible such as Nitecore.
I just ordered the 4 pro in orange. Ppl hate on Olight. I love them. Never had a problem.
I think people hate on Olight just because they’re a Chinese company and probably never owned a single flashlight from them.
@@ChrispyThings Of the most famous flashlight brands, all the ones I know are Chinese.
The new Seeker 4 Pro is legit. I've been using it around the farm for a couple of months now, and it's fantastic
How did you get your hands on the Seeker 4 Pro a few months ago?
@ChrispyThings I've spent way too much money with Olight over the years so I get early access to new products at half price. I've got an addiction lol
When you’re yellow diamond they let you test products for future releases. Of course you get it at a discounted price to do so
Tonight’s Early access…….sick!!! Can’t wait to get it! Passed on the seeker 4 pro for now.
Did you get CW or NW?
I work in Security. Therefore the “holster” is a major plus for me.! 🎉
It's a fantastic general purpose light for indoors and up close to medium range outdoors. The hidden LEDs are kind of cool, I guess, but was it a problem before when you could see them? I wish it had a 1 lumen mode, and they should include the pocket clip instead of making you buy it separately.
The holster negates the need for a pocket clip. It's an upgrade.. the usb-c charging is a great upgrade imo. Few people will actually need the clip.
just ordered the 4 Pro in orange during the Black Friday sale for $97
I’ve been in law enforcement for many years now and have been carrying the Seeker 3 pro since it was released. My wish for an upgrade to any Seeker is a tail cap button and remove the auto lock out. I love the light but wish for those two change to make an absolutely perfect flashlight in my opinion.
Thought I would comment on the auto-lock out function. I noticed the other day, on the 4 when you take it out of the holster you can press the button without spinning it to turn it on.
The Seeker user interface is main reason I do not use it as my primary work light. Got the Seeker 2 Pro cause I liked the lumen level but the lack of a tail switch, hold button to cycle through modes, and lock out make it more of a casual use light to me. Thought about upgrading to the Seeker 3 Pro last year but left it in the cart, now considering the Seeker 4 Pro but still have same hesitations. Have considered the Warrior line but have leaned towards Fenix for work lights.
I have the Nitecore P20iX that is my primary light for doing inspections I also have the seeker 2 pro they are similar in size the Nitecore is not built as well as the Olight but it has the tail cap button with immediate strobe. However the flat base on the seeker 2 pro makes it nice when crawling in attics and crawl spaces to illuminate what I need so both lights are great for me.
If Olight took the Warrior 3s and added the same UI and dial switch like the Seeker 4 Pro then that's what you want I think, it's what I want so maybe the Warrior 4s could be this way.
I ordered the Olight Seeker 4 Pro since it now comes in NW (neutral white).
I wish they added a little rubber plug on that holster charcing port. But still propably the best holster that comes in with flashlight.
I love this light but wish they put a lanyard on it ...especially if your holding it over a balcony or boat ..!!
I haven't upgraded from the Seeker 2 Pro. Not a bad option for small handheld light. The holster isn't for me. Mounted on the wall it would be OK, but I'd rather have a leather or nylon sheath. They can be used for other things, but the plastic holster is pretty much a single purpose item.
Nylon holster available on sites.
Would be very nice if Olight took this UI along with the spin dial and added it to the Warrior 3s and Warrior Mini 3 that would be awesome. Keep the tail switch though and drop the lockout mode, although the lockout is not annoying on the Seeker 4 Pro I would not include it with the Warrior series or have a disable/enable lockout feature.
Is the holster / charger waterproof?
Thank you… love this flashlight
Awesome, I just ordered one. I have 3 other olight flashlights and 4 Lanterns, Cant wait to get the seeker 4 pro.
How have you got on with it ? Any likes/dislikes? Thanks
For now, I'll keep my olg Seeker-2. For now!
It still the best model in my opinion. 3 LEDs have a deeper reflectors and throws further than my 3 pros. In short, the 2 still my favourite, plus its smaller.
Good to know I use it to scan the paddock with foxes, it’s quicker to see eye shine with it than using the javelot
How long does it take to charge?
How does this stack up against the javelot?
- it never truly locks is my problem. Carrying it in my pocket it comes on. It says it locks in the holster, but you can use it in the holster. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it doesn't have a true lock out. The only way is to turn it backwards in the holster.
Does the new end cap make it charge faster ? Allow more amps thru ?
I just tried that on my server 3 Pro tired UT on 800 lumens hit the button instantly went to 800 lumens yes on the seemed 3 pro.
Ordered one from the sale to upgrade my Seeker 2 Pro which has been my go to light. I could not find the option when ordering for the NW. Invoice says Im getting the 5700-7000 which is fine by me. Love my Olights.
One other thing that is different with the Seeker 4 Pro is the heat sink ridges are now shaped as the ones of the Seeker 4 mini are.
Is the holster compatible with a Seeker 3
Thank you for the video.
How is the shipping?
Shipping in the states is fine, but not sure if they ship everywhere. I’d check the Olight site to make sure
I just bought a new olight seeker 4 pro , but it seems the brightness is near to olight RN1500 .
Is the holster sold separately or does one come with it?
I agree with you. I do on a charger.
What do u think compared to. Nitecire udc35??
The EDC35 is my current everyday light. I love it
Do you think it’ll be on Sale for BLACK FRIDAY??
Honestly I don’t know
I have found that the introduction price is generally as good or better than the various sale prices that are coming for the holidays.
I thought the usbc would change directly into the flashlight. Ill keep using my seeker 1.
and why dont they throw in the clip 🙄
Are the rear caps interchangeable between the 3 and the 4?
I always use a lanyard to secure it to my hand incase I fall, don't want to lose the torch.
I heard the NW will have the full 4600 lumens. I hope there's no trade-off going with the NW. Hopefully Olight will clarify. Amazing content as always! Keep up the great work!
I’d like to see that. Usually NW has a significant lumen loss from the CW versions
@ChrispyThings just got clarification from Olight support, and they said no matter the color temp, the lumen output will remain the same💯🔦😎
Thats what I bought! So glad its an option now.
That's awesome! They should offer NW in the other flashlight colors instead of black only.
Can these blind an assailant during day?
Olight Seeker 4 Pro or Fenix PD40R V3? I can't decide!
One is flood and the other, throw. Have you decided?
agreed, I've watched the 2 test and that's indeed a major difference. Was wondering if the extra 1600 lumen in turbo for the seeker would reach as far as the 3000 lumen of the PD, but not the case. So different use. think the seeker brings more features (30 steps level, holster, etc.) (got he the PD40 V2 and looking to buy the seeker 4)@@alexblurr13
if you end up in water with the holster on will it damage it?
Would it damage the holster?
@@ChrispyThings yes, as it has a charging base, it probably isn't waterproof?
Would you recommend this over the Javelot Pro 2?
Those are 2 completely different lights. It depends on what you need in a flashlight and what purpose you plan on using it for
I use my seeker 3 pro every night and I bought the seeker 4 pro
I think the charging cord they give you is proprietary, I tried plugging 🔌 in my galaxy s22 ultra phone cord and the lights didn't light up when charging, they do with the olight charging cord though
Wait you said the usb c they give us is only for charging this holster?
I just got the seeker 4 pro and noticed this on my phone chord to however I smoke a vape and it won't charge on my phone chord because it would charge the vape to fast so to protect its battery it only takes a slower charge, seems the same with this flash light
Just read this now, and had to try it out. I usually charge my phone with a generic usb-c cord with a Milwaukee M18 battery as a powerbank. It makes the light blink, so my guess is that it is charging.
I think you forgot the long press to unlock as well
No I mentioned that
@ChrispyThings 👍🏻sorry then I missed that part, great review as always!
Quelle est l'autonomie à pleine puissance? C'est souvent un détail qui n'est jamais cité... 🤔
2.5 minutes
Seeker 4 has longer throw. Pro had some nice features though. 😮
like you said it is a bit price's for a touch
huh?
Light turns on from the holster
👌🏻
Should of compared beam side by side to a Seeker 3 Pro. I feel unless you need a holster or you do not have S3P I do not have to upgrade.
How about if you still had only a S2P?
Great review but slow down with moving the flashlight back-and-forth lol i’m getting dizzy I might throw up. 😂😂
I want moving the light that fast! Lol
I tried to mount it in my truck last night with the 3 m tape and no matter what I did it wouldn't stick
I like that the holster type c opening is left open with no cover lol.
Hey Ace Ventura! I love your movies!
Hey did you really crawl out of a real Rhino ass?
How do I get your autograph 🙄
I like that walking music.
another question this boost mode 4600 lumen lasts 2.5 min after that the lamp switches to 1200 lumens and thats it ? after how much time j can use 4600 lum again ?
J'attends toujours un mode balise et SOS sur une lampe tactique !!! Olight est une excellente marque, chère , cette absence est inconcevable.
I’m late to this but Nitecore has some lites with it my MH25 Pro has strobe, sos, beacon
Buy 1 extra battery charge both up carry a spare in your pocket for extended adventures
In India this model is sold as the Sikher 4 pro
MeeeehhhHHH.....IF you KNEW you were looking for an "up close" distance light then yes get this light if you don't already own the Seeker 3 Pro. But, I'd prefer a light i can use up close AND has good throw distance i.e. 33k Candela or more. Thrunighte has had a few for half the cost....
Like to see what Olight does in upgrading their thrower lights e.g. Javalot Mini, Warrior X3 Turbo,
Be nice if htey gave us 60k candela in the replacement for the Warrior 3 Pro....like the instant access to a LOw and Turbo
😎👍
Pass. Proprietary battery, doesn’t give charger for battery. Crazy.
olights dont have adjustable focus -that s a great NOO
Nah that’s not really needed. In fact most higher end flashlights don’t have adjustable focus.
I see that more with AliExpress and Amazon lights.
all led lensers have adjustable focus and adjustable focus i smore than needed in many situations -jm working in steel industry controling rolling steel materials and jm seeking for a good lamp that have around 2500-3000 lumens working min . 3-5 minutes in the boost mode jm useing led lenser p7rcore 1400 lumens in 10 sec boost mode which is not enough this lamp olight was interesanting model but j see that all olights dont have adjustable focus @@ChrispyThings
As "cool" as it seems that the holster charges..... in reality, rather than take the light out of the holster to charge you have to take the whole holster off to charge
Of course you do.
Most likely you’re charging the light at the end of the day anyway so it just makes sense.
If you need a charge and don’t want to remove the holster, use a magnetic charger.
The seeker 3 pro was not for me the proximity sensor was garbage and the lock feature was just horrible. Looks like this light will remain the same I got the seeker 2 pro and I pop that out of the holster double tap the power button and within a second I’m illuminating what I need to see. The seeker 3 pro if the glass was dirty it would go turbo for half a second then dim back down so it was junk. The seeker 4 pro would be nice to have but Olight really needs to get rid of the lock feature the dial is ok but don’t lock the light even if the dial is easier to turn it’s still finicky because if it’s cold out my fingers don’t have good grip. Why they implement a lock feature on a flashlight I have no idea if they made it a feature that could be disabled permanently I’d buy it but for now I’m sticking with the seeker 2 pro
😅👍🏻👍🏻
1st pls pin 📌
i rather give my money to SOFIRN and WURKKOS
I don’t see anything wrong with olight.
could you explain why
