Dude that's pretty freaking awesome, nice looking paint job too
Thanks, man 😁
Definitely inspiring and raising my confidence for DIY products. Thx
How did you atach the screws to the faceplate. I'm thinking of trying this for myself but I don't know if I need ot tap the screw holes or not.
I just screwed them in with some slight pressure and the screws tapped themselves. The tolerances of the model/print were spot on.
Can we get an update on how it's holding up? Mostly I'm curious about if the clearcoat has come off at all, and how's the resin holding up? I know nothing about resin, but am really interested in getting into it.
It's coming, I've just had my hands full this week 😫
In case anyone else missed it :)

@@Avel awesome, thanks for the update! now we just need a xbox series x controller faceplate that we can 3d print.
i got my 3d printer like last month
Well you’re wasting it because it’s a weak infill structure and you’re not properly removing the item from the stage. Use a scalper or bend the bed so it comes off easier!
Do you still have to faceplate model? Or is there another place to get it?
I'm not sure why they removed the first one.. here's the updated link.

I'm going to print the joysticks tomorrow, did you use any supports?
Nope, not at all.
@@Avel thanks you, I'm new in the 3d printing world sometimes I use supports to avoid spaghetti monsters
@@2kyrie No problem! It's really up to you (and your printer, really) if you want to use them. I forgot that I did use them on the TPU because it's softer, but once I switched to PETG I found they weren't necessary.
What would you recommend using for the side panels for an Xbox controller???
Do you mean, filament-wise? Can't go wrong with PLA. If you're worried about it not being strong enough, PETG should be fine.
@@Avel yes I did and thank you
How much money did it cost?
🤔
The printer? Under $400 when I bought it. The filament, UV resin and paint, under $50 for everything. But it's all stuff I already had.
But theres problem, you cant click L and R like in original😢
I'm not sure what you mean. I haven't lost any functionality in the controller.
