  • In this episode we change engine mount rubbers/silent rubbers on a Vespa px200e.
    If the rubbers are worn out the handling of the bike will be bad.
    we will try to do this job without removing the engine.

    Love your videos. Can you please do one on how you use the jack to lift the Vespa off the ground please

    Great video, thank you! i was just prepering myself for do the same operation , also without taking the engine out. Now i have a good idea of how can turn out.
    Also i notice the vespa goes very unstable and woobling on the road over 70km/hr. I hope it improves , is very scary on windy days.
    How turn out for you after changing the rubber supports?

      Hello.
      It came out great.
      Make sure to check that your upper and lower bearings in the fork are tight.
      And the bearings in the suspension arm can be bad too.

      And of course always check that your rear wheel is tight.

    Yep, that's quite the wobble..

      That was nothing compared to when the rear wheel and the steering column was loose also 😁

    Does the methal tip of the new rubber need to sit in the hole of the frame? I have the same ones but my hole in my frame is the samr size as the ones in the rubber. The old ones were the same but not sure if it suppost to be like that.

    • @Nordicexplorer1
      @Nordicexplorer1  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@domufflegere they’re not going to sit in the holes of the frame. The metal tip should be pushed against the frame

    • @domufflegere
      @domufflegere 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Ah ok ty. My new engine side rubber is a little bit to deep in the engine so the engine itself is attached to the frame. You think thats bad?

    • @Nordicexplorer1
      @Nordicexplorer1  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@domufflegere normally the metal tip is sticking out a bit from the engine and then it should be really tight to get it in to the frame.
      So I would say that the engine itself should not be in contact with the frame.

      @@Nordicexplorer1 hmm then i have to get them out again god damn. Probably gonna vibrate then too much

    • @Nordicexplorer1
      @Nordicexplorer1  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@domufflegere seems weird that they are too far in, have you maybe got the wrong ones?
      Normally the pipes of each rubber meets in the middle of the engine so that you can’t push them too far in.
