What a miracle that the lava stopped where it did and spared the boat ramp. Thanks for bringing us along. Great views! Love the drone footage!

Great video. At first, I didn’t see you carrying the drone with you, but I should have known that you would not go all that way and not fly some excellent drone footage. Amazing how fast the ocean built that black sand beach. New beauty amid the destruction of what was there before.
I hope you had plenty of water with you.

Wow! Thanks for taking us along on the hot Coconut Trek to the steep black crescent beach, and sharing your incredible near & far aerial footage of you & Andy with the surf, lava, and surrounds - so awesome!

Thank you for videoing your hike and the new beach. Awesome, the beach looks very rough, not smooth and feeling good to the feet. I hope that you took lots of water. I understand it is a hot hike. Hummmmm, you did mention that, too. The drone footage was incredible!! So beautiful, the colors are fantastic!! Thank you so much.

Great video Jeremiah! You are not only a very good drone pilot, you are an artist with it. You made some excellent choices with approaches and shooting angles, especially your work along the surf line. Glad y'all had a good and safe hike out there and back and enjoyed your time there. Blessings from Marlea in Georgia.

Just watching this for the first time, wow, so cool. It really helps me get my head around how the lava came to the sea, sparing some areas, and creating new land on others. The drone footage was awesome, and so was the ground-level footage. Mahalo for taking us along your adventure. Look forward to watching more of your journeys. Sending aloha from Santa Monica, California.

Is the first part of the trail older lava? It looks like a trail is already taking shape. Later, the a’ah looks so untouched, & hard to navigate!

What beautiful color to the water. We don't get that off Washington state. A quick reminder - from what I've heard Never try this hike with anything less that good hiking boots, sox, hat, sunscreen, water!, some high energy snacks, long pants are hot but best, first aid kit, cell phone that's charged, if available and not necessary but a must- IMHO- is know how to use the camera on your phone or bring a separate camera. Sorry, it's the mother in me. ;-) Keep up the great work, Jeremiah.

Very steep beach! Do you think they'll even open up the boat ramp again, and if they do do you think it will remain open?

Chy and I watched before she heads off to school. She said she wants to go and misses you, Andy, and Monster. Andy is hardcore carrying the surfboard the whole way ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ !
I can't believe how much the whole area changed from the visit last year.
Chy asked if the eel was still there or did it get cooked by the lava. Wth kid!

What y'all do in your own world there is your buisiness, but I would think if you wanted to make an award or recognition for people who go above and beyond for others, you could make the Coconut Palm Award, in honor of whoever was the unknown intrepid gardener who planted the pathfinding palm trees.
