Hi Jason, You have the hammock I'm thinking of getting. What's it like? I have the earlier OneWind 11 ft hammock with the separate mosquito net but it's a pain in the rear to get in and out of the net. I've been thinking of getting one of those you were going to use there and with Christmas coming up.... Just wondered what you thought of them? Better luck next time with getting a night away but family always comes first and always should. Still enjoyed this video though and am looking forward to your next one
Hi Colin, I really like this hammock. The quality is very good, the colour is lovely and it has that cool stuff sack that let's you leave the buckles out either end. Most of all, I like how quick it is to set up. The buckles are very handy and easy to adjust. There's loads of room inside the hammock to lay flat, too. I haven't used it much but I do really like it as you can probably tell. Oh and it has a line inside that you set up and once that is sorted, every time you set up your hammocknit will keep the same hang without any adjustments
Love the pack. Was it really a rolltop with big 2-3 liter side pockets . What brand ? Damn jealous of youre trips every time. Nice to see that you have the same gear as me triangle and the small trangia pot. Light + a small fire to look at . I always use the hammock ,ground and tree setup
@ quality is spot on. Did you use manual focus at night? I’m interested in your settings . I use face recognition in good light. I downloaded the app for the phone … not tried it yet but next camp going to try it out .
I mainly use manual focus for the shots that are further away even during the day. I've been testing out how good the auto focus is in low light though and it does well. I still feel better with manual focus. I use the AF button on the back to set the focus in manual. For the close shots where it can detect my face, it's in auto. Let me know how the app works for you 🙂
I enjoyed that one.Forget and everything i must say. I've never tried to dry milk in my tea. When they go camping. I'll have to have a look and see. Can I find some dry milk over here?

Great video. How are you finding the dramatic / clickbait titles working? Some camping channels seem to swear by them while others avoid. Just wondering how its working for you?

Great look wee camp mate looked a nice peaceful location, that’s a pain in the arse with the phone mate hope you got it fixed, what I do is drop the with and pin on my location and tell her where I’m going, keep up the good work mate. Atb Wullie 🏴✊🏻🏴
Ah yeah it was an easy fix once I got home. The best thing that came from this is that it made me get the finger out and buy a Garmin inreach. I've been meaning to get one for a very long time so I have that sorted now and can stay connected no matter what 😁
There should be more people/ husbands like you 🙏 Btw.. how much more do you walk making those shots? Lots of the footage you walk the same track at least 3 times 😊
Head to a cash and carry like Costco, and get yerself a box of those single portion milk pots that you get in hotels; that’ll save lugging the extra kilo!! 👍🏻
Damn! By your title alone I thought you were going to be involved in a wee dispute with your local poachers, possibly featuring a high-speed pursuit through the glen whilst being shot at. Now that would have made for great viewing. Instead, you bricked your own phone and were worried about the missus giving you a hard time upon arrival home. Nobody woulda seen that ending coming. Sheesh!
Packing up cos you don’t know your pin? Surely if your missus was worried she would call you? You can accept calls without unlocking your phone.😂 Nice looking forest though and some beautiful photography 👍
I reckon it's better to be reliable and dependable. If I say I'm going to check in, then I check in. That way if something were to happen and I don't check in or my family can't get through to me, they know something is not right. Considering I camp alone in some pretty rough conditions a lot of the time. I've often hiked away from camp to find signal. Staying out on that camp wasn't worth it for me. It's only a hobby at the end of the day. I've since ordered a Garmin inreach so I won't have that issue again. The forest is class, I'll be back there soon enough. Cheers for watching 👍
It's beautiful, it almost looks like a Hollywood set. I truly hope I'm rich one day because all I would do is go on adventures with my son. Look for nessie, Bigfoot, storm chase in Oklahoma tornado season. I might do that next year God willing.
shame you had to cut the trip short.. but maybe it was something not good was to happen? if the deer were smart they would wear a head lamp to fool hunters 😂 maybe you should look into some 2 way radios as a 2nd way to call your wife? i was glad to see you didnt fall off some cliff or into quicksand.. the last video i thought might just be that 😳 🌌 🕺 🏞 🤕 🙄 stay safe out there.. you look too much like a deer. just dont buy a hat with antlers 🐐😂
I reckon it may have been a blessing in disguise. Not too long ago I was down in the south west of Ireland. I was supposed to hike and camp on a mountain but when I got there the weather was pretty bad and I just had a bad feeling about it. I decided to turn the car around, kicking myself for not going ahead with. Later that day I heard a man had fallen and died that day on the very same mountain. Since this camp I bought a Garmin with inreach capabilities so Ill have that from now on 🙌 oh an I also have a bright orange hat for the woods 😁

I've been meaning to get one for a very long time so I have that sorted now and can stay connected no matter what 😁
@ nice one mate ✊🏻🏴
The importance of good judgment was demonstrated in this video by simply asking yourself what matters most to you over the current need. 👍
Thank you 🙌
So what about a GPS messenger for christmas? 🙂
I found one second hand, a Garmin 66i it was an absolute bargain so it should be here soon 😁
Can you not get those B&B-style milk sachets or pots delivered there ...? I know they're on eBay and Amazon but maybe the postage is prohibitive.
I'll have to check them out but I've since sourced some powdered milk. I didn't have it for my following camp but I should be ok for the winter anyway
There should be more people/ husbands like you 🙏
Btw.. how much more do you walk making those shots? Lots of the footage you walk the same track at least 3 times 😊
I definitely get my steps in 🤣 gluten for punishment
Great and very moody from the forest 🌲👍🙂
Dunnes have the powdered milk.
I haven't seen dried milk powder in years anywhere myself Jason you could always use Baby powdered milk 🍼😅
I looked into that but there is too many sweeteners in baby powder
Just found you love the videos and use trangia and in Ireland is bonus all my relatives are from Galway crack on bud
Ah deadly, thanks for watching 👍
Good video
Another fantastic upload. Right call heading home if it puts your wife at ease. Fantastic quality.
Head to a cash and carry like Costco, and get yerself a box of those single portion milk pots that you get in hotels; that’ll save lugging the extra kilo!! 👍🏻
Not a bad idea at all, thanks a mill 🙌
Good lad ,thing of the wife 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
There's always next time. My phone is playing up at the moment. Amazing how phones control our lives.
Try super valu or the polish shops I can't remember the brand they stock
Thanks a mill 🫡
I just got some Marvel milk in Newry 👍👍
Sheesh!
My mrs wouldn’t give a monkeys 😂
🤣
If its not raining is it even Ireland?
🤣 too true
I think they have powder milk at Tesco 👍
Forest i camp nice little stream till i found pipe running through it don't trust it 😂
🤣
With any luck, at least you got home in time for another dinner.
No such luck I'm afraid 😄
Go polish shop there is always power milk 🤣✌️
Packing up cos you don’t know your pin? Surely if your missus was worried she would call you? You can accept calls without unlocking your phone.😂
Nice looking forest though and some beautiful photography 👍
I reckon it's better to be reliable and dependable. If I say I'm going to check in, then I check in. That way if something were to happen and I don't check in or my family can't get through to me, they know something is not right. Considering I camp alone in some pretty rough conditions a lot of the time. I've often hiked away from camp to find signal.
Staying out on that camp wasn't worth it for me. It's only a hobby at the end of the day.
I've since ordered a Garmin inreach so I won't have that issue again.
The forest is class, I'll be back there soon enough. Cheers for watching 👍
The water that you got out of the babbling brook looked brown.
That's because of the soil, which is peat. It did the job 🙂
She would have phoned you after a while and you could have answered it..was it the guns that were the real reason..🤣
No I was quite happy sitting there, I'll be heading back there someday soon with any luck 🤞
You tried
Good job....
C'mon, we all know it's 'cos you forgot the ketchup really!
😄
Maybe time to look at an alternative way to send messages to your wife such as ZOLEO or Garmin inReach if you could afford one
Since this camp I bought a second hand Garmin 66i, I'll be setting that up when it arrives 🙂
It's beautiful, it almost looks like a Hollywood set. I truly hope I'm rich one day because all I would do is go on adventures with my son. Look for nessie, Bigfoot, storm chase in Oklahoma tornado season. I might do that next year God willing.
You don't need a lot to go on a mini adventure. Even a cup of tea in the woods, bring a little stove. I'm sure your son would love that
Fear Maith!
shame you had to cut the trip short.. but maybe it was something not good was to happen? if the deer were smart they would wear a head lamp to fool hunters 😂 maybe you should look into some 2 way radios as a 2nd way to call your wife? i was glad to see you didnt fall off some cliff or into quicksand.. the last video i thought might just be that 😳
🌌
🕺
🏞
🤕
🙄
stay safe out there.. you look too much like a deer. just dont buy a hat with antlers 🐐😂
@@RamblingOn more than looking forward to all your next videos i want you to be around to make future ones 🙏💒 😁 i think thats how i wanted to say it 😂
rookie error coming out with no communication. that video was looking good too, what a shame to ruin it.
also bringing burgers out with no fillers cheese onion salad almost a crime right there.
looking forward to a better video with you being organised. enjoy your chatting watching from australia
Ah sure we can't all be perfect all the time. These things happen, thanks for watching 👍
@@RamblingOn Your strength is your waffling, or rambling on. You have a unique personality that can be listened to and enjoyed. If you persist you should grow big on you tube because most of the huge channels have great personalities . It is a question of whether you can stay fit and produce more regular content. Your injury sounds horrific. Good luck anyway.
want some tea with your milk?
Just slap some moss on your burgers.
You are hardcore Susan 🤣

So you went home bc you couldn't check on your wife. Come on, 😮 you got to trust her more than that. Why should she see someone else,?..a good looking guy like you! 😊😊😊
I couldn't check in, so she would have been worrying and I would have been worrying abut her worrying 😄
