It takes place at Cooper's Hill near Gloucester (you guys in the States please forget the spelling of this City - just say "gloss-ter")
The rolled cheese can reach a speed of 70mph. British madness my friends!

From the top of Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, a 9 lb round of Double Gloucester cheese is rolled, and competitors race down the hill to catch it. The first person over the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese. This isn't as easy as it sounds as the cheese has been known to reach speeds of 70mph!

Yeh, we also have Mob Football (Soccer) played in Ashbourne, the match is played through the town and each side isn't limited to the number of players, usually its 100 v 100. Play starts at 2pm and ends at 10pm on each day. Besides the rule that prohibits murder and manslaughter, other rules enforced are: use of motor vehicles are prohibited, the ball cannot be hidden while it is being carried, and the course cannot lead through cemeteries or town memorial gardens. Unlike traditional matches, both teams try to move the ball towards their own goal. A goal is scored by tapping the ball three times on the team's own designated goal area.

Talking of cheese, England is the cheese capital of the world with over 700 different cheeses over 100 more than France.
Also Cheddar cheese was first made in the town of Cheddar, Somerset, England in 1170 and is still made there today. So Cheddar Cheese is 851 years old!

The coopers Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake is an annual event held on the Spring Bank Holiday at Cooper's Hill, near Gloucester in England. Participants race down the 200-yard-long hill after a round of Double Gloucester cheese is sent rolling down it. The event was traditionally held by and for the people who live in the local village of Brockworth, but now people from all over the world take part. The Guardian called it a "world-famous event", with winners coming from Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Nepal. From the top of the hill, a 7-9 pounds (3-4 kilograms) round of Double Gloucester cheese is sent rolling down the hill, which is a length of 200 yards. Competitors then start racing down the hill after the cheese. The first person over the finish line at the bottom of the hill wins the cheese. The competitors are aiming to catch the cheese; however, it has around a one-second head start and can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour (110 kilometres per hour),[3] enough to knock over and injure a spectator. In the 2013 competition, a foam replica replaced the cheese for reasons of safety. The winner was given the prize of an actual cheese after the competition.
The Cheese Rollers pub in the nearby village of Shurdington, about 3 miles (5 kilometres) from Cooper's Hill, takes its name from the event. The nearest pubs to the event are The Cross Hands and The Victoria, both of which are in Brockworth, which competitors frequent for some pre-event Dutch courage or discussion of tactics and after the event for convalescence.

The cheese currently used in the event is 7-9-pound (3-4-kilogram) Double Gloucester, a hard cheese traditionally made in a circular shape

I love you guys, keep up the good work. If you're ever in the UK I'll do this with you. If you liked this sport we have so much more here. Look up Shin Kicking (it's literally just that) and there's an event in Cornwall (I think) where guys run through the village with a flaming beer keg on their shoulders.

Tar barrelling in Ottery St Mary, Devon. Utterly mental. Was there the night the burger van went up. Huge cheers when it's gas canisters exploded. Basically blokes from the town carry burning barrels while running as fast as they can through the town. In the afternoon, when it's a lot quieter they have the juniors. Kids seven upward have kiddy sized burning barrels to run with. It's so packed for the evening best way to get from a to b is to follow the ambulance.
