What an exciting match. These are some of the best players I have seen regardless of age. All players are cool as cucumbers at the NVZ. I saw third, fifth, and seventh shot drops. These players could compete in a heck of a lot younger age groups without a doubt. No missed serves. No missed returns, just fabulous all-around play. Thank you for sharing.
I’m also curious as to why they kept rallying with the overheads. Both sides could’ve put away several points right at the end yet they kept returning to the middle of the court. Is there a strategy there that I’m missing ?

I'd have picked more on blue boys backhand and hit behind him. He is a poaching fool. Surprised not to see a lob or two in the midst of those dink battles. Noticed only one from way back on the baseline. Fun match though after a long day of play.
Guy in blue caught a lot of flack in the comments , but he is a really good player up at net. Really quick hands. Turns out that isolating on his partner was the strategy that won the other team the match.
At 10 - 9 why didn't Blue Tights fake a Smash and do a Light Drop into the Kitchen (He had several opportunities). Both Opponents were back near the Baseline waiting for the Smashes that just kept coming :)

I'm guessing if you do play you're under 3.5. The guy was perfectly positioned for a left side player in the middle of the court regardless of whether it's mixed or gender. He was finishing points while his partner got the ball back a lot she was not finishing points. The winning team male didn't play that way because he didn't have finishing weapons either. The winning female was the most solid woman and player on the court and that's why they won. Where I play if you don't poach as a dominant left side player your female partner is getting crushed. This was an enjoyable game to watch but it's old style Pickleball. The game is far quicker now in the tournaments I'm playing.
Blue boy would have been taught a lesson on 'staying Home" and covering his own territory if I had been on the opposing side. Hard to watch them let him get away with non-stop endless poaches. His partner just steps out of the way and sometimes off of the court to allow him to simply play them singlehandedly on most points. SMH
Longest trip to the kitchen I've ever seen on that point. They finally arrived at the kitchen around ball 40. Guy in blue leggings has a lot of skill, but also made a lot of mental errors, some big and some small. Woman in white taught him a lesson on how to dig down and stay within yourself.

Played on this court today, although not a game close to the skill level in this video. Great game.
Giving a 'putaway ball' at this level is making your opponents look good. It's not that they are any better. It's your 'no pressure returns'.
