The ref call at 7:11 was interesting, her hand was underneath the ball upon release so I'm not sure how she could be accelerating the ball towards the ground.
At 4:20 You serve (The Guy) at 5-0-2 on the right side of the court then side out, now it 0-5-1 shouldn’t the receiver(The Guy) receives form the same side that he served form at 4:415-0-2?
the score is called: point vs point, then server #. for example: the servers score is called first, then the opponent, then the server 1 or 2: so if first server, you would say: 2 , 2, 1 meaning: score is 2 to 2, first server.
at zero 2 one (1:22) it looked like the woman drove it hard and opponent hit it, but the ball was called "out", then serve went to 2nd server. confused.... not sure about that.
I’m not sure I’d call any of them true 4s. The women are 3.5 barely and the one man is probably on the cusp of making 4 but lacks consistency with some aspects. I am hovering around 4 myself but could never compete successfully at the 4 level. My 5.0 friends say I’m a tweener that needs to play 4.0 and beats most 3.5s. The consistency just isn’t there to call myself a 4 just yet.
I played in the APPL, Arizona Pickleball Players League this winter in Mesa, Gilbert, and Chandler AZ in the 65+ 3.0 bracket. There is no way either of these couples would have been close to winning in that league. There were lots of 3.5 players playing in 3.0 (I believe I'm a true 3.0 player) but everyone's skill was above what I see here.

Why do they stay on same side when serving?

This seems like 3.0 to me????
I have to learn the scoring!😢 I wish they would say the score more louder..

I thought that, too!
ball hit the net and went out of bounds
ball hit net then went out of play
This is not 3.5.
j 'ai aussi une planche a saucisson pour y jouer
One of the couples is a true 3.5, the other is 4.0. The US Open is a hotbed of sandbagging....
I'll never understand sandbagging.
I don't see how anyone could feel proud of winning when clearly they are playing in a bracket below their level. Sad.
@@DanEwing-po6se Yes, but you get a cheap plastic trophy.

I guess the women are considered the “weaker players”….oh well
Nice match!
Not really, not for 3.5 players, nor for a "gold" medal match. Boring and lots of mistakes. Sorry!😴
