Thanks for this video. I love to learn new ideas with simple, healthy foods like this. I would not have thought to roast the peppers first, but I roast Pablano peppers first before I put them in the chili I make. It adds a whole, new, wonderful flavor. I have to get one of those roasting racks you put right on your electric burners. Great idea. Keep those recipes coming. I sure enjoy them.

      You are welcome :)
We use a lot of roasted peppers in Bulgarian cuisine, because as you said it adds a whole new flavour to the whole.
As for the roasting rack - i am using this because our stove is induction based, so it actually doesn't produce and heat on it's own, it's the pans/racks/whatever utensil that produces the heat. So i can't simply use the stove to grill anything without a proper utensil, and using a frying pan doesn't work (tried it, it takes WAAAAY too long to be worth it)
Here's another tip i got about roasting peppers, even tho i haven't tried it yet: You can take out one of the grills from your oven, preheat the oven to high temperatures, take your peppers and hang the peppers from the grill using some thread. Then put them inside and let roast till done. Apparently this works pretty well, because it roasts them equally well from all sides... But as i said, i haven't tried it yet.

Hello, I love your cooking videos. I am Mexican and we start to cook peppers for chiles rellenos the same way! I hope to try it soon.
