He definitely wasn’t. Deidara gave him a run for his money and Itachi straight clowned him during the fight and his entire life and vs. Kabuto he was more of a liability to Itachi.

@@raiden3013 you can say that vs. Deidara but he was absolute not out strategizing Itachi who was walking circles around him in terms of strategy. Itachi had key points to hit during his fight and he did all of them in the order he had to.

@@Kidkinsey You're right, only other part 1 big Brain sasuke moments i remember are, when he asked the fake naruto in the forest of death whats the secret password, and when naruto said the password word for word Sasuke deducted it was orochimaru, he also got jumped by sound 4 and handled it well with taijutsu and wired shuriken, he was going ham with his IQ, also the whole idea that he was using orochimaru and creating jutsus behind his back and killed orochimaru before he fully healed, also your thumbnail is perfect
Sasuke is great at both strategy and tactics/improvisation. Itachi is all strategy and Naruto is all improvisation.
Naruto can get into his planning bag too but he definitely shines in improv

In my opinion Naruto never actuall catches up to sasuke iq. In part 1 naruto was always adjusting On the fly he didn't start planning shit out until Shippuden more specifically the fight with kakuzu and he had big brain kakashi and yamato there to help with the planning and we saw it again vs pain but once it again he had ma and pa there who had previously fought pain to guide him so I still think sasuke is wayy smarter than naruto when it comes to prep time

@@Damphouse Absolutely Naruto is the best in the series at adjusting on the fly. It's definitely not alot of peope on his level. I can only think of Kakashi, Jaraiya and Minato. Also in my opinion being able to adjust on the fly is wayy more important than being able to have a week of prep time.

Always hated how people would say sauke beating danzo and deidara was pure luck. It really downplays the fight itself and the buildup to the moment. He beat them with his brain, which is a lil nice to see instead of a giant blast move that ends it all
Danzo literally can’t use any of his ocular powers other then the taxing izinagi.
He’s only literally monologuing about how he’ll defeat Obito who’s literally claiming to be Madara.
We are then confirmed by Karin that Danzo is saving chakra which she uses to confirm that izinagi is taxing.
And let’s not forget that Obito claims that he underestimated sasuke.
We have 1 prime example and 2 reputable sources all saying the exact same thing.
We then see Danzo dodge a point blank chidori when he has his sharingan active.
Danzo while literally dying with one shairngan outperforms healthy full chakra Danzo without a sharingan and he couldn’t use it until the very end of the fight.
All of these becsuse of circumstances Danzo no say in.
Yes sasuke was exceptional in this fight and showed far better biq then most against all his opponents.
He’s fought multiple Akatsuki members and embarrassed team 7 and other jounin up to this point.
He’s even fought other kage and would have killed then had they been his priority.
But to say he had no luck involved in the Danzo fight really downplays what Danzo has to go through.

As much as I loved the itachi . You can’t forget the fact that he got played the entire fight. Itachi wanted him to get his revenge and was on even ground while he was on his deathbed

Sasuke analysis is better. Even in the final war arc Naruto isn't really conscious of shit. For instance he went sage mode just because. He didn't actually figure it out and Tobirama stated as much. However Madara himself said he would rather have had Sasuke instead of Obito for his plans because of his elite analytical abilities
I fully believe that the original conclusion to Sasuke vs Deidara was supposed to be Sasuke shooting lightning through him before he could blow up. Robbing him of his cathartics in his final moments. But Deidara had become so popular and Kishi wanted a big climax. So he did went with the summoning snake thing.
Because later on, when Zombie Diedara tries to blow himself up, he is quickly stopped with two small bolts of lightning style jutsu.

there’s only one note im confused about is how sasuke got the second genjutsu out if by the time deidara his suprise attack coming out from his clay monster and inner-dilated his pupils and then you remember that genjutsu isnt only applicable to eyesight, and sasuke apply his genjutsu another way which is crazy

If I were to pick between Naruto and Sasuke I think I would definitely say Naruto because for me I personally have a similar style like Narutos when it comes to fighting games.
Basically when am fighting my opponents what I would personally do is make my movements predictable in an Arena fighters game and then surprisingly execute a counter that breaks my whole entire flow and then use that counter to come up with a follow up plan only for it to be another counter.😊
So in generally you could say that am like a counter god.😛😅😅😅
But yeah don't get me wrong Sasukes way of thinking ahead and hypothesizing is also a good way to combat his opponents.But my way of fighting would have to be similar to Narutos in terms of creativity and adapting.
The only difference between a character like Naruto and me would be the fact that I actually like variety in my moves😂😂😂
The same goes for 2D fighting games like Street Fighters😅

That's a very logical theory, idk what his back up plan was if the sword detonated the bombs but kirin seems appropriate
Cus sasuke would have confirmed that his various chidoris cant deactivate deidara's bombs if the sword detonates,
so i can see him purposefully trying to set as many bombs as he can off while making it seem like he is just been caught lacking, all while luring/taunting deidara to throw more at em
so deidara would sent more bombs for sasuke to detonate, stacking up all that fire and smoke from the explosions into the sky enough to creat a black thunder cloud in the area and gg deidara

One thing I don't really get about Deidara is why he couldn't have been a LITTLE bit further away/higher up on his dragon

idk if i'm remembering correctly or not but i think he has more remote control over his bombs the closer he is to them + dropping bombs from higher up would only give sasuke more time to evade since they'd take longer to reach the ground

Sasuke was using his advanced perception was able to figure out how Jigen’s abilities work. However, without Naruto being able to adapt and keep up with Jigen they never would’ve of learned.
I would say Naruto is just simply the best fighter and Sasuke has better planning.

The issue with Sasuke in Boruto is the fact that he CANNOT take a hit or adapt quickly enough to Isshiki’s assaults when in close quarters combat. like every time he got stabbed or hit by Isshiki he had to recover for a bit and It doesn’t help that dude was hitting diabolical combos on him 😭 also pretty sure Naruto was damn near unscathed before he went into Baryon
I would say Sasuke is someone you just gotta blindside before he figures out your bag and Naruto is someone you have to completely outclass in everything to take down.
*Sasuke vs Deidara* is most underappreciated fight in NARUTO HISTORY. It was first such fight from Shikamaru vs Temari, that was SOLELY focused on STRATEGY.

Sasuke making Deidara ragequit so hard he literally committed a self-destruct is hilarious, but Sasuke using a snake summon to survive a point-blank nuke, after the explosion already started, was stupid.
I would have preferred If Sasuke could've used his Sharringan to expose and exploit some flaw with Deidara's technique to sabotage the power explosion, so Deidara still dies, but Sasuke would "only" receive severe, but non-fatall injuries, wich would have made Deidara so mad, he'd probably, literally start foaming at the mouth, during his final seconds.

na sasuke summoning manda showed that orochimaru taught sasuke snake summons and also that sasuke would sacrfice anyone to survive, that's what it showed and quick second thinking, it's similar to itachi using susano vs kirin, if u agree manda last second is stupid u better also agree that Susano against 0.1millisecond kirin is also stupid, I will agree that sasuke rigging the bomb would actually be hilarious and would be amazing but manda wasn't that bad
