It looks like Ryobi just changed how their "Ryobi Nation" links are structured. It's now at www.ryobitools.com/nation/projects/detail/diy-outdoor-bench with the plans at 2e1293630802db8d0d56-50fcdb1c10e3e49a3d1b0541a2f13b69.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/projects/pdfs/b3dbd569fe61459cae2516b36223eb2b.pdf
Nice, simple & easy build. We built two of your other benches (with high back) last year & they came out perfectly. They are still looking great out on our deck today. Thanks🎉
Rewatching this. I love this simple design. Sometimes I just want something super simple that looks great and that I can get made. Theres a lot of satisfaction in completing quick projects. Sometimes I just need a quick win to keep me motivated for the longer projects that never seem to end. LOL And thanks for the plans. Just downloaded them.
Appreciate your easy to build, practical plans and free plans. I have built your outdoor Adirondack chairs and bench for myself and several of my neighbors. Thanks!
Your clear, concise "no nonsense" narration is rare on TH-cam - hopefully you will inspire others to lift their game. I was intending to build the bench you featured recently but this video's design will in fact be better suited. As well as giving me extra seating I'll have a handy spot to stow some wood for my fire pit. I'll be using 200 x 50 treated pine and out door rated Kreg pocket hole screws.
This is by far the best woodworking book I have ever read, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . My woodworking teacher endorses it to all of his students. I am impressed how authors managed to write very detailed topics. I`m surprised by the material and didn`t have a tough time following the lessons..
The link to the plan is not working. But this is exactly what I was looking for. Can you just tell me the overall length you used for the legs. I can figure everything else out for the video and bench top I am using requires me to make my own size frame.
Nooice -- super comfortable. I made one in > 30 min but < weekend. I foolishly got some pressure treated wood from a hardware store without knowing anything. The wood was juicy and full of copper? The bench has cracked a little as it's dried out, but I think it will be ok. If I make another it will be untreated cedar followed by some kind of polyurethane.
Nice design. I like finishing the edges with a round over bit with router. Sanding for me never comes close to replicating that nice feel in hands on legs (in this case with bench)
alright, you keep telling me that TH-cam wants me to watch these videos and I'm having to watch and click like on all of them lol.... just letting ya know that's a good catch line. Good work friend.
I added the link, but maybe it's not allowed because my post won't show. For the updated link to the plans, go to Ryobi Nation and search "DIY Outdoor Bench." This will bring up the instructions where you can download the plans.
Hello love the video. I am new to woodworking and I saw this and thought I would give it a shot. Followed the link to Ryobi Nation and it said Page not found. Is there another link where I can get the plans for this? Thank you very much.
The plans are no longer available! Is there any way I can still get them? I want to make 2 of these benches for the ends of the 2 twin beds in my guest room! I would really appreciate it! Thank you
Really nice bench. My son is looking to use this design for his Eagle Scout project. As others have mentioned, the link to the full plan no longer works. We're working on figuring out the exact dimensions of all the pieces, but would be easier if the plans were available. Any chance you can post those? Really appreciate it, thanks!
Nice video and build man. Looks sharp and not super complex. Your style and demeanor is very soothing, perfect escape from all the noise out there nowadays. Wanted to ask if you wouldn’t mind sharing your paint colors I noticed on the trims, walls and doors. It’s like the perfect combination of Nice, clean and modern classy colors. I’d love to borrow on them for my shop. Thanks!
Blown away by the simplicity. That bench would fit anywhere. Great video and great bench.
Nice work, I really like the simplicity of this piece, understated. Thanks for sharing the video as well as the plans. 👍🏻
That design is simple yet very elegant
The plans are no longer available on Ryobi Nation Would you post them here for those of us who want to build this bench? Many thanks.

Thank you Mike!
Love this simple design and your easy to follow videos. Finished my bench by
dowelling over the screws.

Well thank you. I appreciate that. Good luck with the build and make sure to tag me if you post it on social media.

It’s working today, October 1, 2024.

Aha, te quedó muy linda, creo que te la copiaré, felicidades y abrazos desde la Patagonia Chilena!!
Love the simple design and clear instructions. Thanks for a great video. I'm now subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos 👍👍
Awesome, thank you!

Great video, thanks
Thank you very much for sharing this. I'm going to use this technique to make a bench for my front porch .. new subscriber by the way 😃
Nice design. I like finishing the edges with a round over bit with router. Sanding for me never comes close to replicating that nice feel in hands on legs (in this case with bench)
Thanks! Great idea.
Great simple bench. Looks good and easy to build.
Thanks!
The link to the plans doesn't work. :-(
Would you do a vid of this cool bench plan to include a back and arms? I am envisioning a dished seat for comfort. Thanks for your consideration.
Nice & easy project! BTW, the links that you indicated at the end of the video did not show up on the screen.
Thanks, just updated it.
alright, you keep telling me that TH-cam wants me to watch these videos and I'm having to watch and click like on all of them lol.... just letting ya know that's a good catch line. Good work friend.
Are the plans still available for this project? They were not on Ryobi Nation when I looked. Can't wait to build it this weekend.
I added the link, but maybe it's not allowed because my post won't show. For the updated link to the plans, go to Ryobi Nation and search "DIY Outdoor Bench." This will bring up the instructions where you can download the plans.
I found no link to the plans
Price of cedar and redwood right now (May,2024) is out of sight if you can find it. I want know about durable finishes for pine or fir.
Hello love the video. I am new to woodworking and I saw this and thought I would give it a shot. Followed the link to Ryobi Nation and it said Page not found. Is there another link where I can get the plans for this? Thank you very much.

Eagle Scout Project? I hope he was going to build about 20 of these and place around the tarn park or gardens or Scout trail.
Very nice! Thanks.
Thank you!
Great project
Thanks man
I really like this bench. You mentioned you could use pressure treated wood or untreated wood. I'm thinking about redwood. is that a good option?
Very nice! Thanks!!
Thank you
What timber are you use?
Nice and simple. Looks great. Curious how much you paid for the cedar and what grade it is. 2x cedar is expensive here in the northeast
Thanks Brian. I wanna say it was around $70 and it's #2 grade. Lumber prices are crazy right now.
@@rogueengineer it's $39 for a cedar 2x6x8 right now...
