Katie, thank you for starting this group. My friend just told me about it. She told me about project 2025 earlier this year. Spreading the word one person at a time works! Keep up the good fight! 😊

Thank you for editing the original conversation (which I watched and loved) down to 10 minutes.
This shorter version is easier to share with friends and family who are out of the loop, shall we say.

I'm watching very closely from Scotland and I can tell you from another country's perspective that we are worried about Trump winning so I'm going to start posting informative things about 2025 on my FB. I'll probably lose a family member or 2 (cousin is in Charleston) but the bigger picture is SO much more important! Keep doing what you're doing folks :)

I’ve lost 5 FB “friends” who said nothing but chose to leave my page/messenger. That is ok with me. I too feel the biggest thing I can do is educate those who want the information.

Hey how about regional rallies to create venues for people especially WOMEN to come out and roar back at Maga. We need the air time and big regional rallies to demonstrate our intent to keep Democracy alive

I'm here because my sister recommended Mz. Cox, giving her a chance. I live in SC and LOVE my state and leadership.

She has the knowledge and we have the power. I am in SC but I do not love my state leadership.

@@vickigrice4663 That is unfortunate. And I was not happy when my daughter was going through the public school system here in the 80's. I can't put in words how horrible and scary it was. Now I watch my grandson excel in his charter school, along with most of the other students. I watch my freinds of all demographics succeed with good, secure jobs. I watch those less fortunate in the shelter I volunteer at get sobriety, jobs, and rejoice when they get their own places. The covid response was a nice balance of common sense and self responsibility. What parts of our leadership do you feel make you unhappy?

@@jodihouts6032the public schools - especially in red states have suffered from the defunding attacks on them. I agree that especially today - they leave us wanting. I have been an advocate for home schooling as several friends of mine have done this and their kids grew up to soar to being accepted at many big universities. One also became 1st violin in a national orchestra. But to home school right - one must be dedicated. It worries me that some will be as the Handmaid Tale.

Well said, but now it is time for women to stand up and support a Democratic candidate--we need to write to the Local, State and National representatives to let them know we are strong, resilient and we will be voting for the candidate that protects our rights and our Democracy. We need to speak out, and as Heather says, change opinion one person at a time. I pray for divine intervention.

We are sure they were grateful. The rest is history. We are now all witness to the mayflower journey as being an erased event by those that choose to distance themself from the struggle. The ground work being laid for generations to come later into freedom of oppression from those that were so suffocating it became intolerable.

  • @LucilleBrooks-p4c

The current day patheticness of the off springs of the mayflower modern day pilgrims are trashing the ancestoral struggle as if this event were a fiction? I know this is heartless and a disgrace to this countrys memory. What are they planning to trash next slavery, declaration of independence, constitution....?

PLEASE!! do NOT be put off by she/her. It’s a bit like nails on a chalkboard to me, too. However-I have a gay daughter who explained the concept and the importance of this to the LGBTQ community. We need you! Please, don’t let the pronouns stop you. I can’t keep them straight either. What I do know is that the GOP wants to take women’s rights away ENTIRELY. so, we gotta get over our hang ups (mine, too), with the pronoun thing. The thing 😂is, defeating the GOP and Project 2025 is WAY more important. I get you, and, 😊I’m with you. I hope you’ll be with me. Please. Our future, with the rights we enjoy as Americans is on the line. No matter what we have to vote Blue and defeat this!!

I am very triggered by women volunteering for a handmaid's position. Reality is transgender people have never been less oppressed than at this moment, and rather than recognizing the blessing they are turning it into a curse. I love Blair White, I think she is gorgeous and level headed. She understands it's about herself, not about others validating her choices.
We are all faced with hard choices throughout our lives, and choosing one thing means giving something else up. Our young girls need to have their safe spaces, this is a basic human right. We fought hard for girl's sports, girl's locker rooms and girl's athletic scholarships. In my youth, I had to fight for the right to wear shorts during PE, rather than exercising in the dresses our school demanded.

    We are not a democracy!
    We are a Constitutional Republic.
I wish we could back to the place where history as it was taught in decades past. Civics is critical for American citizens and being educated, especially when vetting candidates. Anyone who says democracy instead of Republic should not get your vote.

Has the ring leader of project 2025 trashed his pilgrim heritage? I can only imagine the condition that the long travel from the oppression of religious maniacal europe must have left upon the fleeing pilgrims. They were probably starving sick and diseased from the long journey. Some may have even perished before they made shore.we can only imagine what the mayflower would have looked like crossing continents to reach our shores. Lots of prayers ,hopes and dreams and maybe some days cursing god for almost drowning them at sea. What ever divine spirit that settled around during the course of the journey kept its promise to reach a new land.

I would love to know the exact wording in project 2025 that backs the claims that women and minorities will be adversely affected by this. Two thirds of project 2025 was actually a part of the "Mandate for Leadership" plan used during the Reagan era. So this is not something that just popped up.

It always seemed to me that our government worked because despite our differences, we agreed on a certain set of rules. Without our consent, this country with all its freedoms, weapons, drugs and alcohol, and our "Nobody can tell me what to do" attitude will make the US ungovernable.
