I always print the template out 2 times on card stock and tape all the pieces together before I ever try and build something. This way I can see if I need to scale up or down. 2 or 3 sheets of card stock are cheaper than foam and it gives you something to test ideas on. You can sketch or paint designs on the paper model first if you want to modify something.
Great ideas. My stuff all gets scanned in after the projects are done. I just trace parts on poster board that I've already made to do overlays and detail pieces
I was big into actual paintings on canvas while I was in college. I've done a couple on the channel, they just don't get much views. Almost every wall in my house is covered by a painting.
Another option for scaling templates is to simply measure inward on all of the lines about how much smaller you want it and draw a bunch of dots to connect. Then cut the template down. Or to make it bigger just do the opposite and make all of the edges a certain length outward bigger than the template.
Thank you for the great videos and ideas. The templates are greatly appreciated. Can I ask where/how you measure your head? If it's mentioned in a previous video I will gladly watch it as I am a new subscriber and have only caught about 20 or so videos so far. I intend to keep binging and really like the tips and facts in your videos. I may even add that style to my own in future videos. Thanks again!
My head measurement is just from the widest point around using a tailor's ruler. My head is 24 inches around. Measure from the same point and you can get relatively close to our ratio difference. It won't be exact, but it will get you in the ballpark.
@@MuchProps OK, thank you for the reply. I'm assuming you are measuring above the ears from the back of the head to your brow line? I came up with 23 there so if that's the case, I'm pretty close.
I unscrewed the chuck on my dremel and used the threaded connection to plunge into the foam. Then I took a wood burner with a pointy tip and put the center hole.
I tried scaled down the Joker mask to about 90% idk what went wrong, the lower jaw ended up looking like a character from Family Guy, and the teeth and gums was soo crowded in the mouth. Any suggestions?
Try the link now, I think I fixed it. I recently made my own website and had to relocate over 200 templates across 530 videos. Guess I missed this one. Next time, try being more polite in a comment on a 3 year old video.
Best mask pattern ever!...sure it's because we have the same sized head....whatever it rules!
😁 glad it was useful. #BigHeadsClub
Lol 6'3" 291 here and I also have a big head. My kids not as much but the want these too. They are going to be so happy!
Cheers to a big headed brother. Glad that this could help

you truly showed your paint skills with the rick and morty version. The Cosplay apprentice tool is very useful.

Very creative! Like the designs

You are very welcome

🤗 I don't know about that but glad you liked it
Great but can you do poison ivy
I checked your Amazon link but I didn’t see that skull mold: it would perfect for accents on a Skeletor build I’m planning. Where can I find one?
Sorry. I thought it was on there. I went in and found the ones I bought. They came in a four pack. You should see it now on my Affiliates page
@@MuchProps Awesome! I ended up finding it but I'd rather get it through your link and support the channel. :) Thank you and keep up the great work!
#FatheadGang in the house!! :)
LOL. FatheadGang Unite.
Works on iPhone 11’s
It works on my phone too. But a lot of people's phones are not compatible with PDFs unless they download an extension or use a PDF reader app.
How did you do the rivets on the rick and morty mask?
I unscrewed the chuck on my dremel and used the threaded connection to plunge into the foam. Then I took a wood burner with a pointy tip and put the center hole.
where do you get the casting pattern for the scorpion mask
I make my templates and they are posted in the description of the video at the very bottom
2:12 HAHA I have made it into one of your videos! Lol
Anyways thank you I am a pretty small 15 year old so this should help!
LOL. Congrats. Should help with sizing it down. Let me know if you build one. I would love to see your take on it
@@MuchProps I'll make sure to do so.
@@MuchProps done. I made 2 menpos so far, I don't really know how Instagram works but I tagged you in both the posts. Hope you see em!
@@elijahmunkee5703 I saw them, thanks for sharing. They look pretty awesome.
@@MuchProps thanks I had no ideas for them I just had paint and fabric and just used what I what i had! 😁👊
may i know what paint did you use to color the mask? thank you
The base colors were all just spray paint. For all the hand painting I did, it was PlaidFX acrylic paint
How much would it cost for a joker mask
The Joker mask has already sold, sorry
What did you put inside of pikachu cheeks(not the paint)
It's just a piece of EVA glued on the inside.
They all look awesome Thomas... maybe make one that looks like a sperm whale. That blue one was close with the scrolling on the bottom only
Thanks. I really like how that blue one turned out
Hey I'm a 73% thank you very much. 😉
😆👊
Make the golden knight helmet from clash royal

Any time you are trying to size and uncertain, one good practice is to tape the paper template together to make sure it fits you
@@MuchProps sweet..thanks brosuff.
so i guess good question to ask is what size fitted baseball cap do you wear 😂
Bucket size 😄. I believe I was a 7 1/2 or maybe a little bigger. My head is 24 inch around at the forehead.
@@MuchProps well we share that in common, so chances are I don't need to size down
How can i found this mask template.I want to make in
It's in the description of the video. Link at the very bottom
i got a 404 error when i tried to download the template just an fyi tried it on 2 phones and 3 different laptops
Fixed the link. You probably already moved on to the other video for it, but it must not have copied the full link.
