- Boeing 747 Landing - Delta Flight lands in Minneapolis from London Heathrow
My daughter and I drove out to the MSP airport lookout to watch some planes land and take off. Shortly after we got there we found out that one of Delta's last International flights from London Heathrow was going to be landing. This is the video from that day.
A very cool plane to watch, queen of the sky. Hard to believe they will stop flying these for commercial by the end of this year.
One of the lady's there said that this flight was also carrying some of our troops returning from Kuwait. I can not confirm this, but either way, we gave them a big wave. :)

Now this is rare, Delta did have time to fly at least one 747 to and from Heathrow before retirement. There wasn't a regular service on a B747-400 with Delta from Heathrow. It's a mix between B767-300 & 400s and occasional B777-200s on all their services. There will so be both A330-200 & 300s very soon and hope to see A350 make a visit.
Yeah, I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing. I overheard someone say it was carrying some of our returning troops from Kuwait so maybe that was why.
