Im sorry for the reupload. There was a mistake on my part that needed to be corrected. Pleazse leave a like, a sub and tell us what you think of the Moza R12 new FFB
Thank god, I thought I was hallucinating 😂 I could remember the title and thumbnail but I couldn’t find the video and I could swear I had saved it in the watch later
I think people look at the raw numbers and forget that really, the software is everything. At the end of thw day, all the wheelbases are a decent motor, its just how its utilized that makes the big difference.
Updated to the beta firmware for my R9 (they released it for all their wheelbases now in the beta channel) and it is awesome! I haven't done A/B testing enough to really narrow down what it is about it but I think your points definitely hit true to home. The feeling of the suspension travel, kerbs feel much more defined and like you said you genuinely FEEL it when you hit them now, I feel like the limit of the tires is more evident but that may just be confirmation bias. Going to do more testing between the two and hopefully narrow down the differences more, but the short and sweet is BIG THUMBS UP on this new firmware
Yeah I too installed the beta on my R9 and the difference is there ! There a smoother feel through the wheel and a much sharper feel or curbs, and even road in Iracing, I was well impressed.. Try it peeps !
For me, With the KS the oscillation is 100% gone!!! that's a huge difference, not being terrified of easing the tigth grip on the wheel! the other thing i feel is the suspension travel on high kerbs.
Too many QC issues for me. 3 out of 4 of my Moza products since 2022 have required weeks and weeks and weeks of bug squashing and exchanges before they behaved as described or expected. Their discord support is about as good as an AI bot so I quickly learned it's usually good to just email Moza directly, but you still need to budget a month for results.
I'd love a Moza R12. Maybe down the road. As it is, I have a G Pro, and am very happy with it. There are licensing issues which are stopping some of the emerging and bigger brands for not having compatiblity with consoles, and sure, lots of people wont care .... but it's a real blindspot. Was it Fanatec that had issues with licensing? However, a big point of differentiation for the G Pro at the moment is that it has compatibility with PCs, too. Oh, the VR2 is also cross-platform. I'd always gravitate towards a wheel and base which does both.
If the updated r12 is slower than the club sport, then that means the slew rate is inferior. Compare the r12 to the la prima and the mini alpha. Ffb strength, small and fine details/fidelity, holding torque, slew rate and so on
I have had the r12 and the wheel base is great. I just built a new rig and I'm planning on staying with r12. I didn't feel any difference in the update but just realized I didn't recalibrate the base. I also love the feel of the ka wheel. Unfortunately it broke. Moza replaced it free and the gear shifter broke again. Currently using Simagic gt neo wheel. The only base I would swap out the base for is asetek forte or Invicta / simicube but they are in different price range.. it did overheat once I think cause the cable they give you is cheap. Replace it.
That enough already for me to not bother tbh. My csl dd never even gets warm. I dont want to spend $1200aud on a cs dd, but I find it hard to believe this can really compete with it. The constant 12nm vs peak and knowing it can hold that all day and not overheat. And as far as I know, it has about as good ffb as you can get, where as with moza it sounds like your makinga slight sacrifice in motor quality. Will from boosted media said Moza requires the most filtering. But this 3.0 surely will help. Firmware absolutely matters with servo motors and ffb
r9 I had access to had coil whine issues. the extra 100 quid for the r12 are worth it imo. bear in mind that these wheel bases are small and they may heat up a bit if you are in a hot place. make sure you attach it to a rig with plenty of metal to sink heat to .
So if you say the club sport DD feels better than the Asetek Forte, how about the invicta? And can you also do a comparison between the club sport and the SC2 sports or the SC2 pro?
I would try and set the motor FFB values as close to 100 as possible. 90 is fine too... and then adjust the strength through your Sim. The finer details and FFB tuning is a good mix of both In-Sim tuning as well as Wheel Software adjustments.
i had 2 moza products (no wheelbase tho), one broke after 2months and the other broke after 6month🤷 in my opinion moza is quit cheap. my alpha mini is running strong for 2years now.
I did not notice a big difference and my oscillation on the wheel got even worse. So when you drive straight at 60km/h in ac you can just let go of the wheel? I cant i get huge death wobbles...
it sounds like you are trying to substantiate going with Moza over Fanatec. In this current case with Fanatec as a company, why would Fanatec even be an option?
Even though the Simagic Alpha mini has is lower power at 10N?? . I think if Simagic lower the price to around $479.00, it could compete with this. I'm just not sold on Moza's reliability and force feedback.
Actually, C12 is cheaper (550$, not Euro, +- taxes or shipping. Mine was 540 Euro in total). On R12, FFB in my opinion is worse than Cammus ( I feel that Cammus is almost identical to Fanatec in terms of details and quality ).
Fanatec also is/was the overpriced one... Many other brands have proved it's possible to sell sim equipment for a better price. Fanatec made good equipment but overpriced. And it's fanbase is like apple users most of the time (sadly)
@thijsazerty692 right now it's moza that's more expensive. R9 for 550€ and a wheel for 350€ and then pedals for 200€ then you can get the csl dd 8nm way cheaper with pedals and wheel. Fanatec was expensive before
@@snippidippi Don't forget we had to worry about shipping time and costs. especially here in Asia, Moza and Simagic are much easier to get. So it's not simply just "more expensive", the hook is in the availability. I want something that I ordered to be delivered in 3 days tops and that's a huge advantage.

Oh sweet so the update is coming to other bases like the R9 V2? Good to know.
@@Lightning9060 Yes the ffb v3 update will come to all bases

Id love to see a direct comparison of the CS DD and the R12. There doesn't seem to be any videos directly comparing them, yet
Would really like to know how this competes with the Simagic Alpha Mini
Alpha mini still slightly better but with this price drop Alpha mini is in different budget tier… Sadly r12 uses 15bit encoder while Alpha mini 18bit.
@@filipivan5125just put my one month old R12 up for sale and bought the alpha on Black Friday sale 😂
Where does the Simagic FFB fit in/compare?

I hope this update come to R9 V1
@@9bcdefghi yeah, fingers crossed. I've got V2 but hope you will get your update us well 🤝
I already updated my r9. You have to force the update tho not an automatic update
You can update it now,he shows the way with the code.
@@GreekSIMRACING Jeeez, you right ! Thank you so much. Let me test it right now
Good job. You explain the difference very well.
Damn I can't wait till this comes to the r9. I love my wheel so much!!
It's already out for the r9 on their beta site.
This really shows how good the Fanatec force feedback is. The CS DD/DD+ is an incredible wheelbase.
well, they've been working on it for longer than anyone else...
Simagic one is better.
@@mataman1 Have you tested both the Simagic Alpha 15nm and the Fanatec clubsport DD+ ?
@@Jonny._. Actually I have. Besides Fanatec is dead right now, so Simagic is very reasonable choice right now.
@@Jonny._.he didnt tested shit obviously
They def did lol the ffb is now almost identical to fanatec.
the FFB equalizer gives it a bit of extra "flavour" as well
Always appreciate your thoughts on gear, and honest opinions if things are worth the hype or not! 😁👍

Moza have been hinting at PS5 compatibility being just around the corner for years and still nothing. Maybe they just buy Fanatec...
Great transition at 12:14! 😅 Thank you for this excellent Video, RC!

Is the price of the CS DD worth it over the R12?
I don't know if you've tried the Moza R9 or not but do you think its worth the extra $100 getting the R12 instead of R9?

Go Moza! Later Fanatec.
I like this new overhead camera angle 👍🏽
@randomcallsign thank you for the information! in your opinion should I grab this or the sim magic alpha mini with the gt neo?
never tried simagic
Is this Moza r21 wheelbase a good replacement over fanatec podium dd1?
So if you say the club sport DD feels better than the Asetek Forte, how about the invicta? And can you also do a comparison between the club sport and the SC2 sports or the SC2 pro?
So I should have my game ffb at 100%, and adjust the ffb at the wheel? I heard both.
do what suits you as long as you dont have major clipping

I've been thinking of getting into Moza racing sim ecosystem. Interested in R16. How is it? also, how is their customer service and technical support?
What shot the R21 ffb? Any updates?
I think you forgot to put "Moza" in the title

no
