Fun Facts: in 1998 Taylor put up 1644 yards of offense and scored 17 touchdowns and still didn’t make the Pro Bowl. But Taylor should have got the Pro Bowl instead of Eddie George who put up 1604 yards of offense and less touchdowns. Taylor should have made the pro bowl in 2000 instead of Corey Dillon. Taylor put up 1639 yards from scrimmage, while Dillon put up 1593. Taylor also scored 14 TDs to Dillon’s 7. Taylor also missed 3 games due to injury and still out produced Dillon who played in all 16 games. Taylor also had a 200 yard game that season while rushing for over 100 yards in 9 straight games. In 2002 it’s debatable that Taylor should have made the pro bowl over Travis Henry. Taylor put up 1722 yards from scrimmage and Henry put up 1747, but Taylor did it on 38 less carries. In 2004 Taylor should have made the pro bowl instead of Jerome Bettis. Taylor put up 1569 yards from scrimmage while Bettis only put up 987. Bettis didn’t even rush over 1000 yards that season. Taylor also had more yards from scrimmage than Rudi Johnson who had 1538 yards from scrimmage. Taylor should have ended his career with at least 5 Pro Bowl selections. (1998,2000,2003,2004,2007)

people forget about those mid/late 90s jacksonville teams in general. Mcardell, Smith, taylor, bruell , bryce paup, tony bosili, carnell lake, kevin hardy. They had some pretty good players
Troy, thank you for doing these Jag highlights. There’s not many vids out there. I’m hoping just 1 person will do one for Boselli. I wish I could have seen Fred’s 52 yarder which was his first carry of his career in Baltimore. I think he scored on his first touch.
Belle Glades very OWN!! They have some GREAT player's and Fred is one of the best. When Fred was in his hay day, he was a beast with the Gator's and the Jags!
I remember arguing with friends in highschool telling them that Fred was AP before AP. I don't understand how this guy didn't get more attention. 4.3 at 220 230 pounds. Great vision. Elusive. Hard runner. He checked literally every box. Even had hands
Unlike so many other great running backs, he didn't get yards due to high carries. His yards per Carry was ALWAYS high as fuck. Like near 5 many years, a couple even above 5
One of my all time favorites, loved this guy, I was so excited at rumors he would be teamed up with Duce Staley! I wanted This man to be an eagle so bad lol
In High School Fred ran for 5 TD’s and 300 yards in 3 quarters against Fort Pierce Central. He made it look easy @ the UF Gators. NFL highlights confirmed his greatness. His total yards are better than NUMEROUS Hall of Famers. He will eventually get in the Hall, I’m proud 2 say that I know him personally... Glades Central Raiders/UF Gators/Jacksonville Jaguars/New England Patriots. Fred Taylor the Great. [posted January 24, 2021] ps. I think he still holds the record for rushing yards in a single game @ Pittsburgh.
@@lastshallbefirst5516 He played in the nfl for a couple of years made the practice squad for a lot of teams he played for San Francisco Seattle Kansas City Atlanta the Browns and he played for the Orlando Apollo of the XFL.
Ok first I mean no harm but the music did not help the video. But I don’t think people really understand if social media was a big thing when Fred Taylor first hit college or even just NFL he would be just as big as any running back is today but since he was in Duvall small market he got very little media time.
Y'all tripping with the music comments. Nothing wrong with j rule beat. And that second song was dope. Reminded me of some of the school bands I grew up hearing in Florida
Man it's straight up BS Freddy T not in the HOF..It's only because he played in Duval..if he was anywhere else he would've been in...I know eventually he will but he should be in now and it's crazy and ashamed he's not already..Miss those days but with our squad now we'll get back to winning like we did in the early years of our team..DUUUVALL, GO JAGS!!!!!!

NFL put Fred Taylor in the Hall of Fame, he is the most underrated running back, probably in NFL history. He was a Beast for the Jaguars.
Not a hof'er. Cope.
Mr. 55/50 in the flesh

Green jacket, gold jacket who gives a shit..
This was the first Saquan without the injuries 😂😂
He had a huge influence on Adrian Peterson. The size speed strength and brute force
Most underrated RB in history!!! He needs to be in the HOF

He should have had way more Pro bowl selections. Most underrated RB in AFC especially in his division.
Belle Glades very OWN!! They have some GREAT player's and Fred is one of the best. When Fred was in his hay day, he was a beast with the Gator's and the Jags!
Yeah a lot of football players come from that area but Fred was the best one of them.
So underrated. Played w two broken clavicle bones for years & didn't know it. Beast team.
Absolute Beast! I wish he would get more respect for the way he ran the ball!!!
My guy was an absolute animal he should be talked about more more amongst the greatest NFL history

Best comparison i've heard as far as dominance. Lil diff running style, but yeah, Fred was that dude. And Jimmy Smith was no bum either.
Raiders fan by the way.. Always wanted Donovan Darius and Marcus Stroud to be Raiders back then haha
