Not to mention Taylor was injury prone for at least half of his career and still put up 11k rushing yards and being #17 on the all time rushing list so they gotta put him in the hall for that alone.
Freddie T! The HOF is political. The Jags have 3 HOF players, but because Jacksonville is a small market franchise with no super bowls... no Canton candidates. Sucks.
Can't even lie, he should be #1. He a top 20 rusher in league history. He overcame his injury problems and still was productive. He did it for a longer time. Was a part of more playoff victories. I know Boselli is the first pick and actually was a great player, but he doesn't edge Freddy T. No way, no how! I appreciate the extra off the field stuff Tony might do. But nooooooo, Freddy T all day. And I'm tempted to say Jimmy at #2. Lol I ain't even much like the Boselli burger
Fred's definitely the greatest jaguar of all time there was nothing Taylor couldn't do his running style was one of a kind Fred was on great teams and bad teams he is the face of the jaguars and should be in the hall of fame and I hope no one ever puts on 28 ever again for the jaguars
the difference between Boselli and Freddy T is that Taylor was never the best at his position. Boselli was the best offensive tackle in the league when he played, and most likely would have been the best of all time without his injuries. I'm also a bit biased bc Tony is a close family friend of mine lol.
My favorite player during that era as a Jaguars fan at the time. Just wish he could've stayed healthy. He was definitely better than most if not all RBs during that time. No one had the speed, power and elusiveness he possessed 💯
That 90 yard run against Miami in the playoffs was certainly impressive. However, I would be remiss if I didn’t point out Jimmy Smith looking like he was shot out of a cannon towards the end of that run. Fred Taylor had freaky speed for his size, but somehow Jimmy put on the afterburners and almost look like everyone else was standing still.
He's number 1 in my book!! No disrespect to boselli! But Fred's 1 and Jimmy is 2 sorry top three has to be redone!! To me and not because the jags are my team but he's the best complete back in nfl history!!
I used to being love with his running style back when he was a gator that was style. And he brought it to the NFL expecially late in his career those short choppy Juke misses. Boy luv ya Freddy t being an ex running back myself.
Funny, I just saw a #28 on the colts with the last name Taylor.. naturally I thought of Fred and jumped on TH-cam to see this video. Fred was a beast and always terrorized my team every time they played. He was an absolute beast! ~Steelers fan
Here’s a stat that nobody mentions. Taylor missed 55 career games and still retired as the 17th all time rusher. To put that in perspective, Emmitt Smith missed 5 games in his entire career. If you do the numbers and give Taylor atleast half of those games back, he would have retired as the 3rd all time rusher behind Barry Sanders and in front of Curtis Martin. If he had all of those games back then he would have retired 2nd all time with roughly 17,000 yards which would be 2nd all time. Fred, if you somehow read this....did you even know this?
You could use what-ifs, but part of greatness is always staying on the field and consistency. Growing up as a Phins fan, no one I feared more was him and Curtis Martin. Fred Taylor is an all-time great, much respect.
Aidan A I appreciate your views as a Phins fan. I agree about Curtis My Favorite Martin. He would put a hurting on a defense. Fred was one of those guys that could strike anywhere on the field in any situation. He was clocked at a 4.39 but that game speed turned into 4.2 speed. Speaking of the Dolphins do you remember that playoff game in 1999 where Marion was chasing him and the announcer said “bye bye” 90 yards. Then on a night game he scored a 77 yard TD on the first play of the game.
@@carnationvideos4258 I was a little too young for that game, I caught him more at the end. But I've seen the highlights and the dude was unstoppable!! Underrated af
Oh wow i didn't know he was ranked so high in career yardage! Plus that Golden Jaguar Pride helmet is spectacular!!!! Jaguars know how to show appreciation with that -- man it's really nice!
Fred Taylor shocked me how good he was in the NFL...He split time at U of Florida with Jarvis Williams who never made it in the league but Freddie T was everything u wanted in a Feature back

My all-time favorite Jaguar!!!!! He does belong in the Hall!
One of the most underrated players of all time and he's almost completely forgot about. I'ma Niners fan and always been a fan of fred taylor.
A T Yes Its crazy how Curtis Martin And Terrell Davis are in the HOF and Taylor isnt when he was way better than they were
He was in a market where he doesn't get credit for how much of a BEAST he was!
Freddie T! The HOF is political. The Jags have 3 HOF players, but because Jacksonville is a small market franchise with no super bowls... no Canton candidates. Sucks.
The Pro Bowl is too. The 15th overall rusher in NFL history... one Pro Bowl appearance? Unbelievable
That is bias and discrimination. Its unfair. It seems like the Hall of Fame is a popularity contest now a days
What super bowl wins do the Bill's have? Population is 250k, small market, and they have players in the HOF
singingchef23 Exactly! A small market is no frickin excuse
I’m a 9er fan so idk what time doing here, but I looked up Fred’s stats & he should’ve had at least 6-7X pro bowls on his resume

Sorry but there is no one even close to Fred in being the greatest Jaguar in our short history.
