It looks very realistic and true to prototype. It's just a shame BR let them get into this state in reality. It is, after all, a very majestic locomotive.

Thanks Paul. Enjoyed watching that. Interesting to hear your reflections, as an artist, on the process.
    The final result looks terrific.

Brilliant Paul, one of the most informative videos I’ve watched on your channel. Looking forward to you getting seriously into the scenics of your model railroad, it will be great to how you approach it from an artists perspective. Thanks.

Awesome job Paul. Loved the dirty finish the loco has. The powders really pick out the detail in the model. I myself have done a diesel locomotive before but not tried a steam locomotive yet but I will one day. - Nicholas.

That looks amazing Paul. Well done!! Your crew are a little bright and shiny in the pictures but that may be different off camera. I am so nervous to try this but I will soon. I need a broken down model to try it on first to get my courage up. Or not lol. Thanks.

A much better way of weathering is to use ordinary water colour paint mixed with washing up liquid it dries with a matt finish which is quite robust. For a more permanent finish spray it with a clear coat varnish.

Hi Paul - great video. I’m building up the confidence to start weathering my ‘Crosti’ and your knowledge and experience is absolutely invaluable to me - am obviously trying to get it right first time. I will be using the same techniques and am concerned about what airbrush air pressure would be best? Please could you advise. Again, a brilliant informative video Thank you……….

Some of that coal looks a bit large for the scale so you might want to get a cheap mortar and pestle to even it up some chunks should not be that large no bigger than a fist
